Meeting workspace: How to show data from all meetings based on custom view

Hi,

I've got a meeting workspace in a MOOS2007 site. The workspace contains a Task list. It's not enabled with "Series Items".

I'd like to add an additional page to the meeting workspace and show incomplete tasks from all meetings. I can create a separate view for this tasks list that will show incomplete tasks. However, it only shows data for the meeting date that is selected. Is there anyway I can get this view to show filtered data from "All Meetings"?

FieldTemplate_Edit to show value when custom meta data is set editable equals false

  
Have a custom FieldTemplate (RadioButtonChooser_Edit.ascx) that shows a radiobuttonlist based on a single character.  Using LinqtoSQL/DynamicData enabled.Example G, F, P  (Good, Fair, Poor).If the custom metadata for a field in the table is set  [Editable(false)]  I get a G, F, or P.  I would like to show the full word when editable is set to false.  Not sure how to approach this.

How do you filter a list in a Meeting workspace based on the meeting date?

  
I have a customer who is using a meeting workspace, and has a list on said workspace (we'll call it "Meeting Instance List"). The workspace houses this list, and of course after each meeting, the workspace, in essence, resets itself in preparation for the next meeting - so it looks like it removes the items from the list, when in actuality, they are there, just on the previous meeting instances. Some of his stakeholders are finding this limiting because they perceive it as losing historical information (you know how some folks can be, if they don't see it, they think it's gone). His solution is to replace the non-series list, with a series list, and incorporate legacy records from another older list. Only problem is, now there's not a way to filter the series list so that it shows items from a parcticular meeting date. For instance - the [Today] variable will only return a current system date value. Surely there ought to be a similar variable that would all you to filter the list based on meeting date, right?

Insert "View Entries..." data into custom workflow e-mail

  
Scenario: There is a custom task list (not created by me) that has a Multiple Lines of Text column called [Description] that is displayed in views as a "View Entries..." hyperlink to the DispForm. On the DispForm there are hyperlinks to each previous version as well as the modifying user. Problem: I need to create a workflow that e-mails the person to whom the task is assigned to with looping functionality whenever it is reassigned. All of this works fine, except I am unable to insert the [Description] column info into the e-mail. I have tried adding the [Description] column lookup to the body, as well as assigning the contents to a string variable and displaying it, but none of these things work. I also discovered that when I switch to Datasheet view the entire [Description] column is empty. When I turn off "Append Changes to Existing Text" to the column, the "View Entries..." hyperlink disappears workflow functions just fine, but since the descriptions can run rather long people don't want to remove this functionality. Any help on the subject would be apprecated!

Deleted Meeting Workspace Site still appearing on the view all site content

  
I have deleted a meeting workspace template that errored as I was deleting it, the error was Delete site operation cancelled by user.  Check the log files for additional details.   The archive folder does not exist or is not properly configured. Troubleshoot issues with Windows SharePoint Services. the site is still appearing in the view all site content list, is there any way of forcing this dead link out of that view.   ThanksSharepoint Customiser

Data View that handles both a Filter and "Show All"

  

I had a nice search facility up and running that filtered SQL data displayed in a Data View via a "contains" Filter clause on an entered string.

Pesky users now request a "Show All" button as well to display all data in the Data View.  For the life of me I cannot get this up and running - anybody got a tip/pointer?  I can't figure a combination of Filter criteria that would allow this.

Show data from an Access 2010 view

  

Hi.

I have a view in Microsoft Access 2010 that I would like to display in a SharePoint 2010 Standard web page. It does not need to be updated in realtime - only when the page is refreshed.

The data is updated from within Access - SharePoint would only be used to display a single view.

I would appreciate if someone can recommend a practical solution.

Show filtered data from multiple data lists in a view

  

I am attempting to build a very simple Sharepoint site with 3 data lists: 1) Themes,  2) Value Statements, 3) Supporting Details

Each Theme has 2+ Value Statements and each Value Statement has 2+ Supporting Details. 

Currently, I have the Forms setup so that when I enter a new Supporting Detail, the individual must select from the avaialable Value Statements (using a Lookup Column). 

What I would like to do, now, is allow an individual who is looking at a view of all the Value Statements to see the Title field of all the Supporting Details that have been entered for that particular Value Statement (with hyperlinks).

I'm guessing that I need to use SharePoint Designer 2010 to customize the view, but am not certain how to do it from there.

data view web part unable to show data from list in subsite

  

Hello all,

In 2007, I never had any issues with doing this. In 2010, I created a web part that looks at the Pages list and pulls a few columns and as long as I am within the site, it works fine. But I need to call information from the Pages list in a subsite and display that information on the parent site default page.

In 2007, I made this work by changing ListID to ListName and DefaultValue="Pages" and then change the WebURL to DefaultValue="/SubsiteName/" then place it anywhere and it found it. Now if I change the ListID to ListName and default value to Pages I get an error that the web part cannot be imported. if I try using the actual ListID and change the WebURL to the subsite, I get an error that the web part is looking for a list that does not exist. This worked so easily in 2007.

Any one able to tell me what's going on? Or have a solution?


Custom Data Processing Extension doesn't show but should be registered correctly.

  

Hello,

I have a custom data processing extension that i can't see to get to work. I followed the steps like in :http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms155086.aspx to register the extension. Yet the extension does not show up in the data source list.

It's an extension made for ssrs 2008 and I want to use it on a SSRS 2008R2 instance. I don't have any reasons to believe that I did not configure the extension correctly, it's the same as the article and and the same on my 2008 instance.

I am using Reporting Services standard edition 2008 R2 with cumulative fix patch 4 so that should support extensibility.

The data sources that I migrated from 2008 that still refer to the extension give a message saying that the extension is not registered or configured correctly. But i swear I did it right.

Any other extension that I use did register fine, none of them are DPE's though.

Custom List Form web part connection to data view

We have a sharpoint site to manage "projects".    That site includes a document library.  The documents uploaded to the library are categorised based on the project they belong to.

We are trying to implement a custom list form for editing a project record that does one of the following:

1. When the edit form is loaded for a particular projects record that edit form also shows a list of relevant documents.

or

2. Include a button or link on the edit form to another page that lists only the documents for the current project.

We thought this would be easy to do using web part connections.  If we click on the custom list form it gives us the option to setup a web part connection.  However, if you follow this wizard through and get to the stage of selecting columns to link, there are no columns listed for either the custom list form or for the target dataview.  This is the case whether the target data view is on the same page, ie in case of option 1 or on a different page as in case of option 2.

Could someone advise us how we could either get the web part connections between the custom list form and other dataviews to work or how we could hyperlink to a dataview and pass the id of the record currently being edited to that dataview as a filter?

We are using Sharepoint Designer so would appreciate any suggestions base

Filter Data View Web Part based on a field

  

Hello,

I am trying to filter a data view web part based on a choice made by the end user. I have a lookup field in the Pages list that displays the Title of all pages within that list. I want it so that when an end user selects something from that field that it will filter the list accordingly. Do I need to create a variable, parameter or something of that nature?

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
