I am using Sql Server 2008 reporting services. I have a row on Group (tabular report), can anybody please tell me how to show report header while scrolling and on the each page.
Thanks in Advance.
I have been able to have a report with Group / Group count and Details.
The issue I have are:
1. When I collapse the drilldown to get only the Group and Group countit just collapse per page not the full report...I would like to have all Group / Group count on 1 or two pages and then epand as needed...
2. The title and column headers appear only on the first page... how to get it on all pages?
What is the "Linked Report" doing? Is it another kind of Drill Down..?
I need to have my summary report per OS for example shows only the OS Name then Count and if I click to expand I will have the servers in this group... but it seems working reverse way, I mean you have the details and if you collaspe you have the summary
but this seems limited per page...
Can someone tell me how to repeat page header on each page, i am using SSRS 2008.
Thanks in advance.
I am using SSRS 2005 version. I am printing multiple invoices, taking multiple invoice numbers as a parameter and printing invoices.
I have grouped the report based on Invoice number, so that the invoices are printed sequentially and there will be page break after each invoice. Within each invoice there is a header, body and footer.
My issue is after the header is printed, an automatic page break happens after the header, and the body moves to the next page. Therefore there is a large gap between the report header and the body. The report layout is landscape.
I wish any one can solve this issue and grateful if they can give the solution for my problem.
I have a tablix header which is not repeating on each page. I have tried all the suggestions given for this issue in the forum but no luck.
for e.g: The repeat header rows in Tablix properties
Steps in Advanced Mode "RepeatonPage" etc.
I have a tablix with headers and two groups. The tablix structure is as below
Zone Product Client Amount.
Here Zone is Parent group of product group. For both these groups i have tried the advanced mode suggestions. "Zone" Visibility is hidden in the report.
Thank you for your assistance.
I'm having what I'm hoping will be a simple issue -
My co-worker has created a large report which contains several tables in SSRS 2008. Each table is tied to one dataset, yet only certain data can be returned to each respective table. Right now he's applying filters at the table-level behind each table, however as you can imagine this is not efficient because there is a LOT of data returning for this report.
I'll try and give a simplified example -
There are two tables in the report body - one for containing products relating to both Cats and Dogs, and one for containing products relating to Birds. Each product starts with the name of the specific animal - for example "Cats-Mouse Toy", "Dogs-Frisbee", "Birds-Rubber_Leaf".
Now I need to somehow filter out each product so that they go to their proper tables. As mentioned above, my co-worker was creating a specific filter for each product, but this is proving to be inefficient. For example, there are 52 different products for Birds alone. That would mean 52 different filter entries for each product. What I would like to do is use the LIKE operator but i'm not getting the results I want on the first table.
So, on the first table I need something like: =(Fields!Products.value LIKE &
We are developing reports in SSRS 2008. When printing from the SSRS report page, we are seeing that that some text is "clumping" together or spaced oddly. I have tried a variety of printers so it's not printer-specific. If you export from the SSRS page to PDF or to Word and then print, everything prints as expected.
Nothing is as good as real text/names/data, but to reproduce, simply create several text boxes with...ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZabcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz123456789000,000,000.00I used several common fonts...Arial, 10 pt (SSRS 2008 default)Times New Roman, 12 pt (Office 2003 default)Calibri, 11 pt (Office 2007 default)Verdana, 11 ptTahoma, 11 pt
In the example above, I used normal weight, nothing fancy... If you use bold and underline, which is common for a page/column header or footer, this issue is even more apparent. It feels similar to the following issue: https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/feedback/details/482312/ssrs-report-font-rendering-issue
A workaround would obviously be to export to PDF and then print, but these are steps that our end users shouldn't have to (and won't want to) put up with to produce reports/invoices/etc. that ultimately go
page breaks seem to be a real issue in SSRS, according to the number of posts, but I haven't found a solution for my problem yet.
My report contains a tablix which is used to group the data by keys. The tablix has one column and one row, and this cell contains several subreports which get their data from another table depending on the keys of the groups. This works quite well. However,
I would like to insert a page break in between the subreports. I tried inserting a rectangle with the PageBreak property set to Start and/or End, but this is ignored. Page breaks in the subreports themselves are also ignored. Having the subreports in rectangles
with PageBreak property set to Start or End is ignored as well.
The only way I have found to force page breaks is cross-joining my query of the main report with a table containing page numbers, add the page number field as the last grouping in SSRS and check the "Page breaks between each instance of the group", then
showing or hiding the subreports conditionally depending on the page number retrieved from the database. However, this obviously multiplies the amount of retrieved data by the number of pages and is therefore a rather slow approach.
How can I insert a page break between rows of a tablix or even within one row?
We are using the Report Viewer control in local processing mode
I have inheritted a report which was written in SSRS 2005 and I am trying to migrate to SSRS 2008. It contains 2 overlapping tables - with different contents. Depending on a parameter selection either 1 or other of the tables is displayed. This is controlled
via an expression in the visibility property of each table.
The display/no display of the tables works fine - but in 2008 an extra page with a header and footer is displayed for the 'invisible' table resulting in an unwanted page. Is there a way to avoid this and why doesn't it work in the same way 2005?
After doing various amounts of research and testing I need to post a question here.
I am using an html editor to format html and data (for reports) and then using reporting services to render the html harnessing the report server to view, export,
As already many of you know around here you can set an ssrs table cell to “HTML – Interpret HTML tags as styles”.
Also many of you know that this functionality does not accept <table><tr><td></td></tr></table> tags.
However, the documentation says it support <div> tags. Yet when I try using div tags with the appropriate styles for creating tables this does not work either.
So if ssrs handles <div> tags could you please tell me a complete list of style attributes it handles as well?
