So, here what I would like to try, and I'm thinking this is a typical case when you would use a Script Task. Keep in mind, this is purely for exercise of trying to get started on Script Task and may or may not make practical sense.
There is a system variable of type Int32 called "ErrorCode" which holds the current package error. Each time OnError happens I want to take the ErrorCode and contatenateÃÂ it with any other previous error codes that may have happened in the current execution. So that when the package finishes,ÃÂ sayÃÂ with error codes 21, 9, and 40, I want to have one string value that has "21 - 9 - 40".
In order to do this, (assuming this is the kind of stuff you do in a Script Task) I want to set up a package variable of type String called "ConcatenatedErrorCode". And each time OnError event happens, I want to do the following assignment.
ConcatenatedErrorCode = ConcatenatedErrorCode + " - " + convert (ErrorCode, String)
Of course, this probably isn't the exact syntax, but I'm hoping this will illustrate what I'm trying to do.
Now, I have a colleague here who knows VB .NET so I can work with him on writing the actual VB, but what he and I can't f
