Flowchart activity within an ActivityBuilder not expanding to fill available space?

Posted By:      Posted Date: October 07, 2010    Points: 0   Category :Windows Application

In my rehosted designer app, I'm using an ActivityBuilder and setting it's Implementation to a "Flowchart".  I'd like the Flowchart to expand to fill the entire space available in the ActivityBuilder, but can not figure out how to do that ... any ideas?

Custom designer for a Flowchart activity?

Can anyone point me in the right direction for developing a custom designer for a Flowchart activity?  In actual fact, the Flowchart control we are using is a custom activity - it's not the regular .NET Flowchart activity, but our own creation with a collection for FlowNodes/etc.  We'd like to put a UI around it now as well ... mimicking the .NET Fllowchart designer.  Is that really possible, or extremely difficult?  It seems there's no real API or anything available for constructing the node connectors, arrows, etc.

CacheMetadata is not called when a custom activity is placed inside a flowchart

I wrote a simple Native activity which implements CacheMetadata(NativeActivityMetadata metadata) to declare arguments and variables. The activity works great but when I tried to use it inside a flowchart activity I found out that CacheMetadata is not called by visual studioo when the activity is dragged from the toolbox into the flow chart . This of course prevents my activity from working correctly. How can a custom activity be used inside a flowchart activity if CacheMetadata not called? Is there a way to make CacheMetadata run when the custom activity is placed inside a flowchart activity? Thanks Manu

Exception "The activity with display name 'Flowchart' has already been associated with an instance

Using VS 2010 RTM. I have rehosted the desginer and provided a "test" button which runs the WF shown in the desginer, the code for running the WF is simple:  void OnTestWorkflowCommandHandler(object parameter) { ActivityBuilder designerBuilder = (ActivityBuilder)WFDesinger.Context.Services.GetService<ModelTreeManager>().Root.GetCurrentValue(); WorkflowInvoker invoker = new WorkflowInvoker(designerBuilder.Implementation); var se = invoker.Invoke(); it works fine, BUTThe root activity is a flowchart , if I start messing with the desginer and adding sequences and going back and forth to child activities and try to test(run) the WF I get the exception:The activity with display name 'Flowchart' has already been associated with an instance.  Once associated with an instance an activity's metadata cannot be manipulated.  This error might also indicate that you are attempting to execute a workflow whose root activity is actually part of another workflow.

Flowchart workflow, custom "FlowDecision" activity?

Dear all, in order to simplify the workflow "design" we would like to build our own activities that return a result with one or more nodes. Something like the "True/False" nodes that come out of the FlowDecision Activity. I know that one could normally add a FlowDecision activity after our custom activity and insert the condition expression to redirect the flow based on the result... however this requires the ability to know the "content" of the previous activity, and for some users we're targeting it's not immediate. Thank you!Adriano

Custom activity with Flowchart behaviour

Want to create a custom activity which can be used for flowcharting.

Since Flowchart is a sealed class, We tried implementing "IActivityTemplateFactory" and returning a flowchart activity instance, however the custom properties that we have defined in our custom activity are not comming through the property window. We realised that the custom activity is just a flowchart instance.

How can we get the additional properties and behaviours in the custom activity along with flowchart?

CSS Sizing to fill rest of space

Hi there.

Is it possible to adjust the size in css to fill rest of remains space?

for example the container has a 800px space, we have a label width:200px, I want to adjust the other label to remaining space.

is it possible?

Image processing, determine white space and crop

I have created a image upload for our ID card system to allow users to upload new images, edit them and submit for approval.  This is all working well with a combination of asp.net (c#) and jquery to give a seemless editor etc.

We have had a few users who I cannot believe have scanned a photo of themself and then just submitted it with the A4 page of white and little photo.

I am wondering if anyone can help with a suggestion on how I could possibly reduce the load of these coming through (I can't believe they can be this stupid), it stipulates UK passport standards.

Would my only option be to check for a single continues colour that occurs and if it reaches a certain percentage point say 60% then to just send back an error stating they need to crop the image.

Can anyone help with providing sample or that I can use to move this one on.

I am still in disbelief on this one.  the other one is they take a photo of whole body and other in it and cut straight down middle chopping the people out but supplying a photo that no use for an id photo card....but that I can't imagine being solved programatically as I need to determine where their face dimensions are and what percentage of the actual photo is taken up by it and if it below a threshold reject it.

Bitmap FromFile space "file not found"

I am using aspose.slides to create PPTx's. Some of the process involves loading jpg's from another server and including them in the presentation. This works fine in my development environment. When I upload the site to its server, the jpg loading fails.

I am trying to access jpg's on the other server by:

   oFS = New FileStream(sFile, FileMode.Open, FileAccess.Read)

This causes an access violation error when run from the server.

I also boiled the code down to reading the file directly:

   oImg = System.Drawing.Bitmap.FromFile(sFilePath)

This causes a file not found error.

We have narrowed the problem down to the fact that the File Path has a space in it. How does one solve this problem (while still keeping the space, there is a lot of legacy data)? I have tried replacing the space with %20 or +. I have tried using Server.UrlEncode. The error message always comes back with the encoding in place (like no decoding
