I have an event handler on a normal SharePoint 2010 list (Action) that, when fired, synchronizes the data from an external list (Src) to a normal list (Dst). This all works fine in my Development environment. But, when I move my solution to our
Test environment, the event handler fails with the following exception:
"The shim execution failed unexpectedly - Proxy creation failed. Default context not found."
All I am doing with the external list (Src) is reading data from it. Now, my research so far indicates that this is a BCS issue.
1. I have tried running my code as both the user that initiates the event and with elevated priviledges. Same error.
2. I have tested the External list via the SharePoint UI and it seems to work great.
3. I have checked the proxy in the Secure Store Service to make sure everyone has access to it.
4. I have checked the external content type in the Business Data Connectivity Service to make sure everyone has access.
I do not manipulate contexts in my code at all and it works fine in development. Any thoughts or suggestion on what I might try here? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
