We have installed Reporting Services 2008 integrated with MOSS with SQL Server 2008 on a 64 bit platform.
The environment has worked fine in test (but the servers are not hardend).
With the production environment, any attempt to export from a report into another format (eg excel, tiff etc) results in an unexpected error within SharePoint requiring closing the browser and reopening.
There are no details behind the error. We can also find no traces of the error within any of the logs (SharePoint, Reporting Services, Windows event log etc)
When the report is opened directly from Reporting Services (ie
http://servername:8080/reportserver) the report exports fine. Similarly, if the report is opened directly from Report Builder 2, or through opening Report Builder 2 from SharePoint there is no issue. This issue
only happens when the report is invoked directly through SharePoint.
We can only assume that this issue has something to do with server hardening/UAC as we have
My requirement is to export the list items in Pages library with its meta data i.e. Created Time and Modified Time.
I am trying Export Import code, but it does not import time. It imports the CreatedBy and ModifiedBY acuurately but createdTIme and Modified Time comes as current time, the time i run the import.
private static void ExportItems()
string exportFolder = @"C:\exports\";
string exportFileName = "Export_File.cmp";
using (SPSite site = new SPSite(sourceSiteUrl))
using (SPWeb oWeb = site.OpenWeb())
SPList oList = oWeb.Lists["Pages"];
SPListItem oItemA = oList.GetItemById(2480);
SPExportObject exportObject = new SPExportObject();
exportObject.Id = oItemA.UniqueId;
exportObject.Type = SPDeploymentObjectType.ListItem;
SPExportSettings exportSettings = new SPExportSettings();
exportSettings.LogExportObjectsTable = true;
exportSettings.LogFilePath = exportFolder + "Exportlog.log";
exportSettings.SiteUrl = sourceSiteUrl;
I am unable to export SharePoint Form Library view data in a Spread Sheet. Whenever I am trying , I got following error message.
An operation that uses the database driver could not be completed. If the driver is a Microsoft Driver, make sure the driver file isn't damaged, and if it is, reinstall the driver by reinstalling Microsoft Query. For other drivers, contact your database
administrator or driver vendor.
Any idea how to solve the problem ?
When I am trying to export the SharePoint View from SharePoint site to Spreadsheet, sometimes I am able to export the the whole data and sometimes I only get Column headers but no data or records
I have Infopath form (2007) published on SharePoint Site and I am using MOSS 2007 and Excel 2003
I am not able reach the cause of this behaivour of Export to Spreadsheet functionality
Is their a Buffer size Issue with IIS or Session time out
I am not sure because when I export to Spreadsheet and if the record goes to Spreadsheet the file size is just 1.72 MB
We are currently in the process of moving our MOSS 2007 environment over to a new server. We currently have a single server farm (SQL, Search, Front End all on one box) and are splitting the SQL off to a SQL Server. We have gone through the DB
copy / restore for the new box. When looking at the sites it appears that ONLY the servername/sites were moved over to the new SQL box. We still have servername/pages and servername/sitedirectory, etc... that did not appear to move. So if
I go to servername/sites/executivesite it pops up fine but if I go to servername/sitedirectory/exectuivesite2 nothing.
I started to do a export / import of the entire /SiteDirectory and ran into a size error when attempting to run stsadm -o -export "siteblahblah" -filename placetoputtheexportfile -includefilesecurity so I backed up the same sitedirectory using the -nofilecompression.
The export ran fine with no errors or warnings. When I attmempted to do the import it went through but with the warning that (simplified) this data does not include the file security settings so it won't be imported". It imported almost all the
data except a few lists and document libraries and excluded almost all file security. Is there a better way to do this or am I just going to have to keep banging my head till i
I have an infopath form on a sharepoint site. Whenever users hit submit button data goes and sits in a table in sharepoint. Instead I need to export all that information to a SQL table.
Anyone knows what is the procedure to do that?
I am working on sharepoint survey and I want to extend the functionality
EXPORT TO SPREADSHEET of survey list. By default when I click on
EXPORT TO SPREADSHEET option it generates an MS Excel sheet with multiple columns. There is a column
Created By in which default value is System Account.
I want to change this default value with currently login user`s Logon Name. Is this possible?
Is there any custom feature for this?
