Print or save several pages without user interaction

Hello! I've run into a huge problem which I can't seem to solve.

I've made an application in C# with a webbrowser that automatically browses several different pages on our internal website. I need my application to be able to either save each page or print each page to a PDF (like with CutePDF, PDFcreator) and set the filename & destination from code. All this without any user interaction - it's kind of a bot to do stuff for us.

I've tried all of the following:

urlDownloadToFile - does not work in this scenario because the URL's that my application goes to are not "real" URL's, as in if you copy & paste the URL to a webbrowser you get re-directed to the home page instead. The pages my application visits are reports generated by setting some values.

EnumWindows & SendMessage - Tried to locate the Save As-dialog and simulate clicks on the Save-button. Spent two days trying to get this to work but I could not. I am a low level programmer who's learning. (=

iTextSharp - Tried to make iTextSharp generate a PDF from the HTML of webbrowser - I failed on this aswell.

I really need the pages visited printed/saved automatically! If someone can provide guidance & code I would be eternally thankful.

When User Clicked on Save Button Result Should be visible and Grid View Text Fields should be visibl

EditForm.aspx submit button prompts user to open/save document.

I'm not sure if anyone can help since I'm dealing with a slightly modified Edit Form and a custom work flow, but here it goes.

I am testing a SharePoint 2010 deployment which uses our 2007 production content database. Most of the database attachment process went okay, but I'm seeing something weird now on my EditForms. Whenever a user uploads a document to a particular document library, we send the user to an edit form to collect some meta data for some custom fields. As soon as you click the submit (OK) button, the form prompts you to open/save the file, as if you were trying to open it from the within the library. Once you handle that pop up, the form is then 'dead'. It doesn't redirect you as it should and the submit/cancel buttons no longer work (yet they are active).

Here's where it gets weird(er). If you try to upload a document from within the library itself, no problem. My issue only happens when you get to the upload page via a dataview of the library from a subsite (which is just a filtered dataview with a site specific filter, nothing too crazy). The link takes you to the normal OOB Upload.aspx just as if you were to get there from the document library itself, but for some reason navigating to it from the dataview (even though it takes you to the same page with the same list ID in the query string) the subsequent editform (again, same form

Have a user save a file from a server

I create an xml file from a csv file that a user uploads. What I want to do is display a link that says click here to download and have it pop up a box where they can save the specific file I just created. I can't seem to find any examples on this. Can someone help me out?

Cannot prompt user with Save-As dialog

See also these links:

My client requires that I display a .pdf file in an iframe and also that I provide a download link that will prompt the user with a Save-As dialog if they choose to download the file (I am aware that the .pdf viewer has a save button.  The client requires the link).

The .pdf file itself is on a secure server so I use a HttpHandler to transmit the file.

The code shown below works fine to display the file in the iframe.

However, when the user clicks the download link, the .pdf simply opens in a new window and does not prompt the user with a save-as dialog as intended.

I am currently setting the ContentType to "application/pdf".  I have observed that when I set the ContentType to "application/octet-stream", I am always prompted with a save-as dialog (regardless of content-disposition).  However, the file the user is prompted to save is the .ashx file, not the .pdf file.

I have stepped through my code and observed that content-disposition is be

save user's input in user control

I have a user control (ascx file) that contains an interface for users to change the data retrieved from the db. So, I am displaying data and most of this data can be edited by the user. When the user enters text into a textbox, and clicks "Save Changes", the value they typed in is lost and not persisted to the database. I realize now this is because the SaveChanges button does a postback, and the user control gets reloaded with its original values before the code within my SaveChanges button gets executed.  I'm not sure if there are properties I need to set to save the input data, or if I need to write my own code to do it. What is the generally accepted method to do this?  (Also, all of the controls in the ascx file are wrapped in an Update Panel.)

Can I Describe a Flat File Source to Save SSIS User Some Effort

I'm a complete SSIS beginner.  I suspect the answer to my question is out there I just don't know enough to construct the search that would find it.

I'm writing a program to generate fixed width format text files from proprietary databases for use as Flat File Sources in SSIS packages.  I know I can provide a header row containing column names.  But I have a lot more information about the file (obviously!).  I know how many columns there are, what the width of each column is, what the type of each column is, etc.

Is there some way I can record the information I have so that the SSIS user consuming my file doesn't have to input all that information through the Import and Export Wizard?

For example, if I were generating these files for use with the BCP utility I could create a Format File to describe the structure of each field in my data file.  Is there some similar capability in SSIS or do the consumers of my data files have to input InputColumnWidth, Data Type etc. through the Advanced editor dialog box?

Choosing Between a User Control or Web Part for SharePoint

SharePoint will only display Web Parts on a page. However, there are publicly available shims that allow you to write user controls and have them be displayed as a Web Part. From SharePoint's point of view, the shim is a Web Part. From the point of view of the user control, the shim is simply a control in .NET that is including the user control
