Unlike role-based security measures, code access security is not based on user identity. Instead, it is based on the identity of the code that is running, including information such as where the code came from. Here Mike Downen discusses the role of code access security (CAS) in .NET and outlines some key new features and changes in CAS for the .NET Framework 2.0.

Just in general, where can I find the code to take a look at and learn from them? Or at least look at the functions available to me as I do get the feeling that the insufficient documentation at the moment reveals all.
I am working on survey application......

now user can change color of the question using color picker
color picker have a popup which is closed when user selects a color and
the color of question will be updated as popup closes
So i have to find label control(in which i bound questions)
and update the color of label selected by color picker
I googled and found following code but it show null value
var lbl =
when I saw the page source following id is generated for label
ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_dList_ctl00_lblQuestionctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_dList_ctl01_lblQuestion and so onD
tblOrders.rows[CurrRow].style.display = 'none';
now im doing something on the Gridview_RowCommand event at this time the gridview got refreshed so that the hiden rows are visible, but i dont want to show the hidden(invisible) rows while rowcommand event fired. so, is there any way to solve this issue?

Hi all just am getting this error with KernelBase.dll, what's happening at my application end is that I am using .NET Framework to determine if network connectivity is available, raise an event from underlying dll to inform application when network connectivity
is established, or network connectivity is unavailable. Nothing really special here just using standard stuff out of .Net framework here. Have seen similar incidents with
KERNELBASE.dll reported, but no one is really giving out any info on what exception 0xe0434f4d is a code for. Knowing what the execption would be, would allow me to find a quick workaround to the problem. BizTalk seems to have similar issue with
Additional info that may help is that I am running the .NET application on a Windows 7 machine with less than 100MB of storage space, well below the recommended minimum of 300mb, but am testing the .NET application through it's paces now. It should
work if Windows 7 is working.
Below is the extract taken from the Windows application log:-
I got this book Microsoft® SQL Server® 2008 Analysis Services Step by Step by Scott Cameron, Hitachi Consulting from our tech Library , however the companion CD is missing. Can anybody share the CD / practice code examples
with me please? The book is only useful if I get to practice the code alongside reading the theory!
I am trying to use a custom assembly (compiled with VS 2005 framework 2.0) with SSIS 2008. I understand that I need to put this Assembly in the GAC. I initially attempted to do this using the GACUtil, but I apparently only have version 1.1
of GACUtil intalled on my development PC. Shouldn't version 2.0 have been installed as part of VS 2005?
So I then tried simply copying the dll into the GAC folder using windows explorer. Well, the dll is now visibly in the GAC folder, but I cannot see it from either VS 2005 or BIDS 2008. Does that mean I do need to use GACUtil 2.0 or higher to
install the DLL into the GAC? If so, is there any place on the Web that I can download it?
Where can I find the Base Schema version Id for a particular table in SSMS
On Sharepoint Designer (I'm using Sharepoint 2010) I can use "Find Manager" when developing workflow. How to produce similar result using coding in Visual Studio 2010? I read something about User Information List, but cannot found any relation to "manager".
Thanks and Regards,
I need to search some records for one or more keywords ( user entered) and then display them in order of matching i.e. at the top all 3 keywords, at the bottom, just one keyword found.
Before I do this.... has anyone done it before ?
I was going to go through each sql record and search for the words, presume that best way ?
I need to find a way of determining if a certain assembly version is present in the GAC and so far the only way I've found of doing this is by running gacutil /l AssemblyName and then parsing the output of that and check the 'Version' values.
Does anyone have a better solution?
