Quick Launch navigation and Table Of Contents Web Part multi language issues

I noticed that my multi language site have some issues in translations. The translations in breadcrumb, list and libraries are all ok, except the list names in the Quick Launch navigation and the Table Of Contents Web Part, it does not translate the names of lists and libraries......

Can anybody give me some advise? Or is this a bug?

Whenever i am adding Headings and Links in my sharepoint site under "Navigation", it should display in Treeview collapse expandable buttons in quick launch. How to achieve this, any suggestions please. I tried by enabling Treeview in Site settings-->Tree view, but it is not useful here(it only displays document libraries with folders in "+" or "-" symbols. Filtering the Table of Contents Web Part

Hi there, I'm trying to filter the Table of Contents web part so that it only shows a list of sites; excluding the documents, lists, discussions, etc... This is on our projects site, and will be used to show a list of projects. I've scoured the net for quite some time and found some people trying to do the same kind of thing, but couldn't seem to get their custom xsl template to do the trick. I'm by no means an xslt expert, but I believe the answer lies in adding a custom style template that will filter the resultset in the LevelStyle.xsl file? Please help!!!

Put metadata navigation above quick launch menu

Hi, I have a problem with left quick lunch navigation. My need is to set my metadata navigation and filtering above quick launch menu. I have no found any artical about this. Does anyone have idea how to do this. Thanks.

Group links in sharepoint Quick Launch Navigation Panel

Hi,

I am having sharepoint 2010 RTM Trial on Windows Server 2008 SP2. I have a website based on Team Site.

I am having some Lists i.e. List1, List2, List3, List4 and List5. I want to group them in Quick launch like:

Primary Lists

List1

List3

List5

Secondary Lists

List2

List4

I would also like to see these sections as According Pane Works in ASP.net (On Click, "Primary List" Exposes its childs)

Can anybody helps me out ?

Remove/Hide empty space of quick launch from web part page

Hi,

I created a document library, whose type is "Web Part Pages". When I create a new web part page in this document library the quick launch is missing from the pages. There's a gap on the left side of the web part page for about 200px where the quick luanch wouldÃÂ have been.

I don't necessarily want the quick launch to show up at this point. But I don't want the empty space in there either. I would prefer that the web part page covers the empty space on the left side. Can you please advise how to fix this? I had created a subsite beforeÃÂ where I don't have this problem.

Let me know if it's not clear about what I mentioned above. Unfortunately I can't post an image here to show what I'm referring to.

Adding the quick launch bar to Web Part Pages

Morning all,

Has anyone tried to add the quick launch bar to a web part page at all? I've been looking at the Web Part Pages stored within C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\TEMPLATE\1033\STS\DOCTEMP\SMARTPGS, specifically spstd1.aspx.

The way that I've achieved this within SharePoint 2007 was to remove the lines below from the template, which would then render the Quick Launch Bar,

<asp:Content ContentPlaceHolderId="PlaceHolderLeftNavBar" runat="server"></asp:Content>
<asp:Content ContentPlaceHolderId="PlaceHolderNavSpacer" runat="server"></asp:Content>

Having tried this within the web part pages for SharePoint 2010, I'm not getting the same results. Does anyone else have any other suggestions?

Change Button Text in Multi Language Website

Hi i developing multi language website

using Master pages

everything fine

Page_Load i set the Text property of Button Control from Resource file

like this

Button1.Text = GetLocalResourceObject("Button1")

then in the button click event i cnage the text of the Button control

Button1.Text = GetLocalResourceObject("Button1_new")

but the text doesn't change and no error messgae

what is the problem how to solve this

For Multi-Language website which process is better in asp.net

I want to build multi-language website in asp.net 2008 and asp.net 2010. So, which process is better for building application? Using either Local and Global Resource or New Folder to make separate according to language?

Application performance should be good and also easy manageable.

Please suggest me in which way I will build the application either using resource or folder. If there is any other better solution then please share.

Hide link in quick launch

Hello all,

I need help in order to hide a link in wss3.0
of course this link should be visible to some users and hiddden for users who do not have access permission to the link.
currently when the users who do not have the right to the page when they click on the link they getÃÂ access denied but I want to remove/hide the link so that they don't click on the link to get theÃÂ access denied message!!
The link I'm trying to hide is located in quick launch.

I have be trying to do it wih-in the wss3.0 platform but seems that there is no solution for it with-in the platform.
ÃÂ could you please tell me it it has to be done programatically or there is any way which can be done from the platform itself.

has anyone done this before??

Managing Lists On the Quick Launch Bar In Sharepoint 2010

Hi can somebody help please.

I am using Sharepoint Foundation 2010 and I need to use the "navigate function" that you use to have in MOSS 2007.

Basically I want to be able to move lists between different sub headers on the quick launch bar. In MOSS 2007 I use to be able to go into manage site settings and choos "navigate and then move the lists up and down between the sub headers that i created on the quick launch bar.

Anyone got any ideas

Sharepoint 2010 - RSS Viewer Web Part has some AJAX issues

Issues with Web Part Title and Description information
