Problem using an action to link to a report in another site

Hi ! I'm using SSRS 2008 with WSS 3.0 (integrated mode) and I want, from a report in a site A, to link to a report in a site B. I'm using the full path to the report and when I paste it in a browser, it correctly shows the report. When I click on the link of the action in the report from site A, a report (having the same name) from site A is displayed instead... Any help would be appreciated Thanks Paul

Problem Saving Files to A Sharepoint 2010 Site from Office 2010: Saves locally by default rather tha

Hi we are starting to use sharepoint 2010 / word 2010 and have found an interesting bug/problem. Sometimes when a user tries to save a file (by clicking on the save button in the quick access toolbar for word 2010) the save dialog comes up with the users local "Documents" folder as the path (not the correct sharepoint path where the document should be saved).  (I should say that we are creating the file from sharepoint by using a toolbar on the document library, with the new button)  We are using a content type and a template attached to the document library when we create the file.  This is really annoying because the user might not notice that the document is saving locally and not to sharepoint.  I have found a strange workaround which involves clicking the [File] tab on the ribbon in word 2010, then clicking "Save and Send" and then clicking the save button again.  At this point word 2010 seems to "remember" that it is trying to save document to sharepoint and shows the sharepoint document library. This is a real nuisance which could lead to documents being lost/misfiled if people don't realize that this is happening.  Can anyone help me? Thanks Kevin krd

SSP problem: This page is accessible only from an SSP admin site

I am facing some problem in SharePoint 2007 SSP. Actually I have restored the SSP databases (SSP db and SSP search DB) on the development environment using SQL database restore option. After the restore, I have used Restore SSP option to create a new SSP and mapped the restored SSP DB and search DB. The SSP restore operation was succeessful but when I try to navigate to Search setting in the newly created SSP it is giving me the error that "This page is accessible only from an SSP admin site. " The same error messages is coming for some other links as well in same SSP.

Can somebody guide me how to solve this problem?

Site Header Problem

I am trying to figure out how to use headers for Sharepoint web apps.

I have created a web app with the default URL of http://shrpt_svr:1605 I want to also reach this site by using the header "test.gracenet.net"

So....I entered the header in the header text box when the app was created and placed an A entry in DNS resolving "test" to the IP address of the host server.

I can reach the site using http://shrpt_svr:1605 but I get a blank page with "Error" on it when I try to use "test.gracenet.net"

What else do I need to do to get the "test....." url to work?

Web Site Admin Tool problem in VS2005

When I create a new project and try to use the WSAT security tab, I get the following :

There is a problem with your selected data store. This can be caused by an invalid server name or credentials, or by insufficient permission. It can also be caused by the role manager feature not being enabled. Click the button below to be redirected to a page where you can choose a new data store.

The following message may help in diagnosing the problem: Unable to connect to SQL Server database.

I am using VS2005 beta2 with a local copy of SQL Server Express.

I am new to all of this so a little help would be great

Basic problem running dlls via a web site.

Look at this thread : http://forums.asp.net/p/1616087/4138373.aspx#4138373

I have asked some colleague about that problem.

Some said that this is related to Windows 7 security issues, which might be a issue by itself.

I have Windows 7 (Home premium edition), and trying to add some dlls for use.

I have looked at the internet and found the issue : "Security Compliance Manager" : http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee712767.aspx

Does this issue related to solving the problem, I have put on thread 4138373 ?

I need basic guidlines, what may be the problem, and how can I solve it.

Also, if I put my code on hosting site, what should I asked them, in order to solve the problem.

Even simple sample that works would be great, please.

Thanks Smile

SharePoint Server 2010 October Cumulative Update My site Problem

Hi everyone

I have created a small farm with a default installation. I have 2 web application configured using Claims authentication.

The first web application is hosting a site called http://sharepoint.domain.com running a standard team site.
The second web application is hosting a site called http://my.sharepoint.domain.com and is running the Mysite.

When I install the October cumulative update the My Site links vanish and the My site is no longer accessible showing a sharepoint Access Denied page.

Has anyone else experience this? Do you know how to fix it?

Problem with SharePoint Tutorial On MSDN site

I'm a newbie so i'm hoping one you experts could help me with a problem i'm having with the training video series that available at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/ee513147.aspx. In the second module video number 6 he creates and application page and add some code and the deploys and views it in the browser. The problem that I'm running into is that when I try to bring that page up in my browser I get a "Application Error" page and that's it. I thought that maybe I made a mistake in the code somewhere so I removed all the code and all the markup from the .aspx file and still got the same error. So I have two questions:

1) Does anyone have any idea why I would get an application error on a page with just the bare bones auto generated content with no user code at all.

2) Why am I getting this page instead of the details of the error when I'm running this on my local box and not a remote server. The CustomErrors setting in the config file is set to "Off". Since I'm new to this i thought perhaps I was modifying the wrong web.config file. I verified the path in IIS Admin for the site to be C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wss\VirtualDirectories\80 and that's the config file I changed.

Any insight you can provide would be greatly appreciated and would leave me eternally in your debt.
