I hope MS has find the solution of this issue of IE8 not showing explorer view on MOSS sites . Its been long time now people are talking about this in blogs/online.
We have MOSS farm running on win 2003 servers and now we are going to deploy win7 . In testing phase this issue is coming up and no solution yet. Can some one help with this . BTW I also tested this with beta IE9 it does not work .
When try to open a folder in a moss 2007 document library in Explorer View, the folder does not open.
I am using IE7 and the path of the folder does not contains more than 100 characters.
Also it opening on few on the machines which has IE7.
For uploading or copying large number of documents i can use windows explorer view in moss.
Is this view requires administrative permission.
Suppose i have a workflow for each document in the library,If i copy in bulk documents to the library.will the workflow be attached by default.
Issue: When accessing the Explorer view in SharePoint 2007 libraries, the FPRPC protocol (instead of WebDAV) is used. Users want to perform certain functions in Explorer View
(like send-to compressed folder) that are not available or do not work in their FPRPC view.
Background: The site is on port 443 (SSL), users accessing the site have Windows XP and IE 8.
I understand from the white paper
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=c523ac7a-5724-48be-b973-641e805588f4 that if a site is hosted on a port other than 80, the Explorer View will be forced to use FPRPC. The white paper also states "there is no workaround
for this behavior".
However, when I access the site using Windows 7 Enterprise and IE 8, the WebDAV protocol is used and all of the functions work.
I have searched the fo
I have a requirement to use the MOSS 2007 Calendar Control - month view is to apply a custom css to have a look and feel as per our requirements.
We tried applying the custom css to the MOSS 2007 calendar control - month view, it does take the custom css and applies it, but when i click on any date and come back to the calendar control, it changes the CSS of the MOSS calendar control back to the default
Let me know if anyone has any suggestion on how to customize the calendar control for css for our intranet application.
Your response would be highly appreciated.
Our website www.cradleofhumankind.co.za cannot be viewed properly by those using FireFox browser. it appears that not all the content on the site is downloaded. What can be done about this. The website was
designed using MOSS 2007.
Please advise of possible solutions.
Hello all. Alerts are not being triggered when renaming a file in Explorer view. They work when a new file is created.
Is this expected behaviour or is there a fix.
We are using SP 2007
I need immediate help if anyone may help me as early as possible would be appreciated.
Two websites that are being developed by me is online in my office network.
Our IT department has updated Internet Explorer and the view my websites is completely disturbed.
Now we have Internet Explorer 8.0.6001.18702
In most of my pages the setting is that from top to bottom, in top there is a panel holding dropdown, textboxes and just under this panel there is another panel with gridview.
When the pages load the first panel with the search controls are ok.
When i supplied search parameters then gridview resulted overlaping the above panel and it scrolls behind the above panel.
When there is one record populates to gridview the whole gridview would not be seen but the count label shows one record.
Please please help as I am receiving hundreds of calls from users.
