I am fairly unfamiliar with creating custom workflows in SPD, so was hoping you can point me in the right direct.
The scenario is that my users enter information into a list. As soon as an item is added, several tasks are sent out to different users across the company, asking them if they are "interested in the item". Some of them will respond Yes, other's No. After
everybody has responded, the system should check if anybody has responded with Yes. If so, a new workflow runs. If not, a different workflow runs.
So I thought I need the Collect Data action to create multiple tasks, but then I realised that they don't run at the same time, but after each other, which is not what I want. I want all users to receive their tasks at the same time. So I guess my first
question would be if this means I need to create a different workflow for each user? Or is there an easier way to Collect Data from multiple users?
The other question, related to the one above, is: how do I figure out when all users have completed their related tasks? If the tasks are created by several different workflows how do I trigger a new, conditional workflow, after completion?
Thanks for the help.
