Using a table as formatting in RDLC files

I don't want to make a table that autopopulates based on DB information. I have some report parameters passed in from a C# file behind an ASPX file, and would just like to display the parameters in a tabular fashion. How would I achieve this?

date formatting

I have a 3 field table in sql server express and one of the columns is a date.

I'm trying to pull that in and publish to a gridview, but when I do it comes in with the date and minutes and seconds, etc.

How can I format that so that I only publish MM/DD/YYYY?

thanks in advance

On page loading or executing all CSS flags are ignored and website is plain without formatting

 My problem is whenever i execute my app the first page that loads is the login page pointed to by my web.config file forms authentication, this page is meant to show CSS formatting for the info i am displaying but it is not. Any help with this problem would be great. A cut and paste of my problem is shown below as you can see there is no CSS.

Convert 2005 RDLC to 2008 using VS2010

Hi and thanks.

I'm getting an error on serveral reports that I built  in VWD2005 (express) using the reportviewer control.  Trying to edit the rdlc file in VS2010, VS2010 asks if i want to convert the file to RDLC 2008 format and I click ok.  When I build the site, I get this error (and of course also when the report is ran):

Error 1 The report definition is not valid.  Details: The report definition has an invalid target namespace 'http://schemas.microsoft.com/sqlserver/reporting/2008/01/reportdefinition' which cannot be upgraded. C:\inetpub\wwwroot\mastercardlcm\Reports\WorkLists\OpenSRStatus.rdlc 1

Here is my web.config concerning the RDLC assemblies, etc.

			<add path="Reserved.ReportViewerWebControl.axd" verb="*" type="Microsoft.Reporting.WebForms.HttpHandler, Microsoft.ReportViewer.WebForms, Version=, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a" validate="false"/>

Remove HTML formatting

Anyone know how to remove html-formatted-string to plain text programatically?

I want to get the same result as if i ctrl+a in a browser's page and then ctrl+v in a notepad.

I was googled how to strip html string, but didn't find the good result.

Removing tag using regex: "<(.|\n)*?>" causes some problems:

* The html-table is not nicely converted to tabbed plain text. It produces *crazy* table in plain text.

* the html-alternate-image lost

* the list ( <ul> & <ol> ) is not conveted well. No numbering or bullets in plain text

Reading/writing Word documents - keeping formatting

I've done some reading about reading from and writing to a Word doc. The reading from worked without issue:

string strPath = "Test.doc";
FileStream fStream = new FileStream
    (strPath, FileMode.Open, FileAccess.Read);
StreamReader sReader = new StreamReader(fStream);
string text = sReader.ReadToEnd();

But of course this is just a string, without any formatting information included. Writing to the document using a StreamWriter worked, but I received errors when opening the document.

I've also read that trying to perform actions on an Office document on a server without the Office products installed on it can result in mayhem. I'm working on a MVC application that will allow users to upload documents to the server, work on them, save their work and email it around. That doesn't specifically require the need to read/write programmatically, but for certain application functions I do need this. Any helpful suggestions are appreciated.

Adding Totals to RDLC Matrix

I'm using a local RDLC report in VS2008 / .NET 3.5 which includes a Matrix.  It works fine and shows its corresponding Rows, Columns, and Data values as specified.

How can I add row totals / column totals in order to show sum of Data values both horizontally and vertically?

RDLC Rows and colums totals

Programmatically Generated Reports (RDLC) ASP.NET C#

Good Day,   I been looking for a day now and I couldn't find a good source of information. I have a one of a kind report wherein the RDLC file including all controls are programmatically generated (system generated)  by one of my asp.net page. All fields and its values to be displayed on the RDLC file are coming a stored procedure. On my stored procedure I'm using a temp table for example #MyTable and its columns can adjust programmatically/automatically base on date range. BTW I'm using C# code to generate the RDLC file and preview it on the report viewer of a page. Sample: Date Range: 01/01/2008  to 12/31/2009  My temp table may look like below AssetCode, Description, Class,  Jan2008, Feb2008, Mar2008 --> until column reach Dec2009 AAAA00001, AAAAAAA,FF, 0.00, 0.00,1,00.00 --> some month#### column may not or may contain value base on my formula. AAAA00002, BBBBBBB,FF, 0.00, 1.00,1,00.00 --> some month#### column may not or may contain value base on my formula. AAAA00003, CCCCCCC,CE, 1.00, 1.00,1,00.00 --> some month#### column may not or may contain value base on my formula. I have no problem in retrieving all data on SQL Server using temp table and showing it on a system generated rdlc file even if I'm using

Displaying XML in label control using xslt formatting

I am using an XML file as a database and I am using a text box and a button to search for a node within the xml file and display that node on a label control using the format required by the xslt file.  I have created an example to use as the real file is rather big. If I add an xml control to the page and set the documentSource and transformSource to my existing files, it will display the node on the page in the correct format.  If I try and pass the query to the label, it only shows the inner text of the XML tags with no spaces and no formatting as specified in the xslt file. Is there a way to pass the query to a label control and render it using the formatting specified in the xslt file?  In all honesty, it doesn't even have to be a label if I can get the query to render as specified in the xslt file in any way shape or form, I would be happy with that.I feel like I am just one statement away from having it complete but for the life of me can't seem to figure out what it is.  Any help is apprecaited.XML File:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?><?xml-stylesheet type="text/xsl" href="animal.xslt"?><animals>    <animal name="dog">        <color>brown</color>        <hair>lo

Formatting the date with the CalendarExtender

I must be missing something here.  I use the code below to display a DateTime value, and the time is always displaying, i.e. 7/11/2010 08:10:10. I just want the date.  The Format value doesn't seem to have any effect.    <asp:TemplateField HeaderText="Exp Date" HeaderStyle-Width="100px">   <ItemTemplate>   <asp:TextBox ID="TextBox1" runat="server" Text='<%# Bind("expirationDate") %>'></asp:TextBox>   <cc1:CalendarExtender ID="CalendarExtender1" runat="server" TargetControlID="TextBox1" Format="MM/dd/yy" />   </ItemTemplate>   </asp:TemplateField>
