Set Field in Current Item to a previous version's field value

When using SPD, can you make a WF condition to set a field's value to it's previous version's value? Versioning is turned on for this doc library, but checkin/checkout is not on. These WF's run only after creation and editing, so I need to set a value back if a user doesn't have permission to set a choice column field to specific values. Thanks in advance, Chris

View previous version of a file in document library using Client Object Model

Using Server-side object model, it is pretty simple to get the previous file versions. Say I wanted to view a file in its initial version, all I’d need to do is :

When using Client object model, I couldn’t any analogous method/property which would let me fetch the previous version of file.

Can somebody point me to a sample or the property which would serve my purpose?

SSMA tester error

Hello Everyone

I used SSMA to migrate data from Sybase ASE to SQL Server 2008, and I am trying to use SSMA Tester for testing migrated data.
I have created a test case, selected only one table from a database but when I am trying to Run, getting following error message

"Cannot connect to Sybase ASE via SQL Server tester extension."

Following I can see in SSMA log file:

[Tester: Error] [5364/6] [2009-09-22 14:33:28]: An error occurred while connecting to Sybase ASE via SSMA Tester extensions.
[Tester: Error] [5364/6] [2009-09-22 14:33:28]: Exception: A .NET Framework error occurred during execution of user-defined routine or aggregate "ExecuteUnidimensionalCommand":

Restore a previous version of a document in a document library - error

When I try to restore a previous version of a document in a document library, I get this error message:

"Updates are currently disallowed on GET requests. To allow updates on a GET, set the AllowUnsafeUpdates' property on SPWeb"

I am NOT running any custom code anywhere on my SharePoint site

Any updates on when we can expect a new version of SSIS?

Is there any news on when we can expect a new version of SSIS?

We are in the early planning stages of a new data warehouse and I'd like to know if SSIS 2008 will be replaced soon.

default ASPX Publishing page will not restore to previous version

I have inherited a MOSS farm that has a semi customized front page on it's publishing portal. One of the customizations is a bamboo web part that someone did something to to cause it to change the font on it to white and collapse if it had no information in it. I restored this whole site collection to a test area in a separate application pool so that I could work on it without disturbing any other users.  The Bamboo licensing broke in this web application even though the farm is licensed. I was just going to ignore that for now and concentrated on adding some web parts controlled by audiences. I got the web parts in and reacting to the correct audience but then I screwed around with it long enough to break it.

Now the customized Bamboo does not collapse and is stuck showing it's error message about the licensing, and I am unable to change the height of other web parts although I am able to change the width.

So (and here is the real problem) I thought that I would just restore a previous version of the page and try again after I got the licensing with Bamboo all straightened out. But I cannot get this page to restore an old version.

First when I was on the page showing all of the versions for this page and I would choose an older version it would complain that I had to check out the page before making any changes. SO I check out the page and return

restoring previous version - permission denied to \\localhost\C$

not sure if this is the best location for this topic, but I deleted a database file from sql management studio

On windows explorer, I can see a previous version that I can use to restore the database. Unfortunately I get a UAC message saying that permission is denied

is there anyway out of this. I am running as adminstrator and I've tried to increase permissions but nothing seems to work

this is Windows 7

ASP.NET 4.0: WebForm Routing (quick n dirty version)

One of the things we're adding in ASP.NET 4.0 is built-in support for using Routing together with WebForms. Now, I'm totally aware that this is possible to do already and that a number of people have posted ways of doing this with the Web Routing feature which shipped with ASP.NET 3.5 SP1. We're just adding some features to make it easier to do

Retrieving a variable from a previous page

I'm looking to have a search page where a user will select an item from a listview, then then taken to another page that wil display data based on their original selection.

A user will type in a string and be presented with a list of usernames that are like that string, when they select a user name who's profile they would like to view I would like the page that they're taken to, to be that users profile.

How would I transfer the variable from the search page to the profile page, and when I work on the profile page, how can I access that variable?

Formview LinqData source not allowing updates

OK, I'm confused.  I've set up a formview with a Linqdata source to allow users to edit records.  When I run it, edit data and submit, it blows up and tells me "Linq datasource6  does not support the Select property when the Delete, Insert or Update operations are enabled."  I googled that warning and saw a couple of posts on this forum saying the problem is the slect statement has to be removed from the Linq data source for it to allow updates.

But if I remove the select statement then how do I show the user specific info on pageload?   plus I thought the two way databind was an advantge of the datasource control.
