intranet. Using the 2010 IDE with Framework 3.5, I was able to create
a simple XBAP app with a button that calls a basic Wcf service
application that inviokes the standard GetData() method. This works
fine in the IDE. When I publish it to my local machine I receive a
"Request for the permission of type 'System.Net.WebPermission' failed"
error when I press the button that invokes the WCF service. The key
details are here:
The assembly or AppDomain that failed was:
XBAPClient, Version=18.104.22.168, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null
The method that caused the failure was:
The Zone of the assembly that failed was:
What could cause something like this?
The app is set to Partial Trust. Should I even be using Partial Trust
on an intranet or is Full Trust OK? This app will be used by hundreds
of people at the firm. I need to retrieve data from SQL Server so the
WCF service is necessary to do this.
