Browser based InfoPath forms in Sharepoint error

Posted By:      Posted Date: October 05, 2010    Points: 0   Category :SharePoint

Hello,

I have a form that we built in InfoPath2010 and I am trying to publish it to SharePoint2010 using the "broswer-based" capability. The form works in preview mode in InfoPath, but when I publish it to SharePoint, I get the follwing error:

"You do not have permissions to access a database that contains data required for this form to function correctly.
An entry has been added to the Windows event log of the server.

Log ID:5566

Correlation ID:9161ac7c-7b8f-4164-907a-14426c54b24f"
The form has two main data connections, both are tables in a sql database server. They display data from the tables, and the users are also able to input data into the database. The form right now is configured as "full" trust, as we have custom code in the form that will only work with that setting. I have also uploaded the two UDC connection to a data connection library in SharePoint, but no luck.
Here is part of the  the custom code in our form that may be causing issues:

Attachment upload error on browser based InfoPath form

Hello,

I am having an interesting problem with browser based InfoPath forms in SharePoint 2007.  For some reason the file attachment control is not working any more.  It was working fine in July, but now it will not allow file attachments over a few kb.  I tried a 34KB file and I get the error below, a 2KB file works fine.

Unable to connect to SQL Server session database. The connection string (server='SPDB', database='SharedServices1_DB') was returned by an instance of the IPartitionResolver type 'Microsoft.Office.Server.Administration.SqlSessionStateResolver, Microsoft.Office.Server, Version=12.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c'.   at System.Web.SessionState.SqlSessionStateStore.ThrowSqlConnectionException(SqlConnection conn, Exception e)

Sharepoint 2010: Browser compatible infopath forms are not open in web browser for editing

I created a browser enabled form with InfoPath 2010. I then published the form by selecting the option "Publish form to a SharePoint library" and then selected "Form library" and finally selected "Create a new form library". As a result, a new form library was created. When I click on "add document", the browser opens a new form, which I can fill and save successfully. However, after the form is saved, whenever I click on the form name in the form library to edit it, the browser "opens with" dialog box opens, asking for an XML editor software. In other words, the form does not open in browser for editing even on systems that do not have InfoPath installed.

The form is browser compatible and the form library is configured to open browser-enabled forms in browser. The issue is that the form hyperlink is directly pointing to form XML file rather than pointing to InfoPath form services URL.

I would really appreciate, if someone tells me how I can edit the form in browser.

Adding custom help to browser based Infopath forms

We are developing a browser-based application with Infopath 2010 forms.  We would like to provide buttons that pop up a separate browser window containing an HTML help page, which would be stored in a SharePoint Wiki.  I understand it is not possible to call JavaScript from a browser form, which was the initial thought.

What other approaches are there for providing custom help in Infopath?

Browser based InfoPath Form - fully trusted gives Access denied Error for few users

We have a code-based (code behind) browser based Infopath form which is fully trusted, but it gives out an Access denied error for some users.

Infopath form - browser error client error

I am facing a problem with browser enabled infopath form. I have developed this in infopath 2007. I have few fields in a repeating table. It contains Number of units, qty , subtotal and total. Total is sum of all sub totals and Sub total is  multiplication of units and qty. I am able to insert new items in preview and getting subtotal and total. I have published it in sharepiont as browser enabled form as a content type. When I opened the form in browser and insert new item in repeating table then I am not getting my subtotal and total updated. I am getting those for only first row. other rows are not working. This is working with infopath client.  Please help me out..

Hi,I have created a form in InfoPath, and i filled in the form in the browser. But there's an error apppeared when i tried to click on the submit button to submit the form. Infopath 2010 Browser Based Form Vs Infopath 2010 Filler Based Form Issue

I have created a detailed infopath form that is connecting to multiple sharepoint lists, some of which contain thousands of rows and dozens of columns.  To tailor for the data load i have enabled the form to only pull in data as needed and on some of the lists i have created 5 or 6 data connections to the same list, each only looking at a certain set of data, and as you make your way through the form selecting your options, the data is pulled in. If i preview this form from within Infopath or if i launch it using Infopath filler this works great, the data is pulled through in under a second.  However if i then publish the form to the browser and launch it through the browser, it now takes roughly 30 seconds to pull in the data. My question is therefore this,  Is there something i can do to speed up the way the data is pulled in when launched through the browser?  are there transport protocols i can alter or something like that? maybe config in central admin or infopath config? any help would be gratefully appreciated as if i can not get the form to pull the data in fast through the browser then the whole project is a waste of time as my management team will never go for the solution if it is slow and will get slower as more data is added. thanks

Infopath form and forms library error

I've created an InfoPath 2010 form and associated it with a forms library on a SharePoint site. When I go to the library and choose "Add document" the form opens up to be filled out by the user. When the form is filled out, and the user tries to submit, they get an error saying that I need to configure SharePoint to allow cross-domain data access for user form templates that use connection settings in a data connection file and store a UDC file in the same site collection as the form. So I've enabled cross-domain data access and I've already created a Data Collection Library for Forms in the Site that is approved. What am I missing?  Why am I still getting the error?

Getting error while retrieving data from sql server 2008 to infopath 2007 in sharepoint 2007

Hi, I have created an InfoPath form in InfoPath 2007. In this form I am getting data from SQL Server. To do this I have created data source for SQL Server 2008’s Tables. I have created 4 connections for 4 tables. When I am previewing this form from InfoPath Designer 2007, it is working. But when I am publishing this, it is giving me an error ‘Can not update content type’. If I skip this error then my form published but when I open this form from Share Point 2007. It gives me an error:   There has been an error while processing the form. Click Continue to resume filling out the form. You may want to check your form data for errors. Click Start Over to load a new copy of the form.   An error occurred accessing a data source. An entry has been added to the Windows event log of the server. Log ID: 6932 G. Goyal

Cannot Login with Forms Based Authentication to SharePoint 2010 - Issue with the SecurityTokenServic

Please be advised I have followed the steps on http://donalconlon.wordpress.com/2010/02/23/configuring-forms-base-authentication-for-sharepoint-2010-using-iis7/. I have tried to fix the following issue for a week using different farms and SharePoint 2010 installations, however I am getting the following error when trying to authenticate using Forms Based into a Claims site: Cannot get Membership Provider with name FBARoleProvider The membership provider for this process was not properly configured. You must configure the membership provider in the .config file for every SharePoint process. 1. I am certain the membership provider is configured in the SecurityTokenServiceApplication webservice as I can manage users and roles in IIS7 using the SecurityTokenServiceApplication website. 2. I am certain that membership provider is configured in the both the Claims Web Application and Central Admin as I can manage users and roles in IIS7 using their websites. 3. I know the issue is the SecurityTokenServiceApplication service as I had to set <serviceDebug includeExceptionDetailInFaults="true" /> to get the error above. 4. I can log into the Claims Based Application using windows authentication, however I am unable to see the users on the people picker despite that I can see them from the application's site on IIS

Trying to repair SharePoint 2010, running into an error with Microsoft.Office.InfoPath in GAC...

We've got an environment which has been hit badly by something we're not yet sure of. SharePoint has ceased working completely, and when I try to run SharePoint Configuration Wizard, it stops with an error concerning an windows assembly. Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Office.InfoPath.Server', VErsion=14.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c' or one of its dependencies. Signature specified is zero-sized. (Exception from HRESULT:0x80131237) How can I fix that assembly?

import data from infopath xml forms to SharePoint list

Hi. I have this issue, a customer has an old application that consists of a SharePoint 2003 site and a 'forms library' with forms listing information about physical servers. The infopath (2003) form is pretty straight forward and has a few dropdowns from lists and so on. Now, we need to move this to 2010 and preferably to a list only using oob functionality. I would like to know if anyone has a clue as to how I can get the data from the hundreds of xml files into a list, could be to excel and then to SharePoint, or any means Necessary. I would prefer it if it can be scripted or done using standard tools from Microsoft, no 3rd party custom xml importer...(if it's not really good and free :-) ) ThanksThomas BalkestÃ¥hl - Technical Specialist - SharePoint

Error Publishing Workflow - : Activation could not be completed because the InfoPath Forms Services

Recently our when trying to publish a new workflow we are getting the following error: Activation could not be completed because the InfoPath Forms Services support feature is not present. Another symptom is any existing custom workflows are not running. There are several older posts from SharePoint 2007 that indicate to disable and re-enable the SharePoint Server Enterprise Site features. I have tried that and I still get the error.  Looking through the ULS I see the following when I try and publish a workflow: 09/16/2010 15:04:29.48 w3wp.exe (0x2070) 0x0718 SharePoint Foundation General 8e2s Medium Unknown SPRequest error occurred. InfoPath / ActiveX error when using person selector field in Word template off SharePoint document l

I have created an out-of-the-box document library on a SharePoint 2010 site.  I left Microsoft Word Document selected as the Document Template.  I then added a person or group column and a multiple lines of text column to the document library. I then went into Library Settings --> Advanced Settings and clicked on Edit Template, opening the template in Word.  I created my template and added the two new columns to the document.  I did this using the Quick Parts --> Document Property --> [column name] feature under the Insert tab in Word.  I then saved the template back to SharePoint. Upon opening the template or creating a new document from the template, I get the following dialog box: --------------------------- Microsoft Office InfoPath --------------------------- One or more ActiveX controls could not be displayed because either: 1) Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page, or 2) You have blocked a publisher of one of the controls. As a result, the page might not display correctly. --------------------------- OK   --------------------------- I've searched around (I believe fairly extensively) and have not run into anyone else with the same issue.  Some have mentioned a similar error when creating a custom document information panel in InfoPath, and suggested lowered ActiveX security setti
