Dialog attachment scrolling problem

When opening an item from a list in a dialog and then attaching a file we have noticed that the vertical scroll bar disappears from the dialog. You can still navigate the form using the Tab key, but is there a way to restore the scroll bar or is there a Hotfix we can get to do repair this issue? Thanks.

adding sharepoint attachment field to customlist

I added the  sharepoint attachment field.

 <SharePoint:AttachmentsField runat="server" ID="sp1" ControlMode="New" FieldName="Attachments"></SharePoint:AttachmentsField>

But i could not see the control either on my pages.

I tried to put some validation on my customlist using ASP.NET requiredFieldValidatoon.

While changing the the Format as TextBox on Sharepoint Formfield,its turn to be nothing instead of showing the generic text box.

Also my Sharepoint field name id i used to get like "ff2{Pos}" on my SPDesigner 2007.I can't attach this id to ASP.NET required field validator.

Any idea ?

Slug headers error when adding attachment via ListData.svc

Assuming "MyContext" is an ADO.NET Data Services context that has been created using the ListData.svc service on our SharePoint 2010 site, we have the following code:

-----

var context = new MyContext("http://sharepoint/_vti_bin/ListData.svc");

var item = context.MyList.First();

var attachment = new AttachmentItem { EntitySet = "MyList", ItemId = item.Id, Name = "newfile.txt" };

context.AddToAttachments(attachment);

FileStream stream = new FileStream(@"c:\temp\newfile.txt"), FileMode.Open, FileAccess.Read);

context.SetSaveStream(attachment, stream, "text/plain", string.Empty);

context.SaveChanges();

-----

"context.SaveChanges" throw an exception with the error:  Invalid slug header for attachment.  Slug headers must be of the form "EntitySet,ItemId,Name".

"slug" is the last parameter

Adding CustomAction to DispForm dialog using SPUserCustomAction

Hi

I have a hard time understanding all the different locations etc. when adding a custom action to the DispForm ribbon of a list item. I'm using the SPUserCutomAction approach.

Normally on a list item disp form modal dialog you have a "Manage" and a "Actions" section. What I want is to either place a link/button on the "Actions" section or create a new section to place my "action". I have used different locations, but have not successfully placed my action correctly.

I have placed it in the context menu in the list view and in a new tab on the disp form ribbon called "Custom Commands", but I would really like it right there on the front of the disp form ribbon.

Hope you can help me :)

Adding multiple attachment (files) to a dynamic variable so it can be send to a email. VB 2010

Hello !

I need some advice on what to use for adding multiple attachment to a email. I'm using VB 2010.

First, I have a Form in my company web site to fill a reclamation ..... when you fill and send it, it convert the form into a PDF, save it in the client side "TEMP" and finally get the PDF and send it to a email..... that's perfectly  fine. I add to the form the capability of attach multiple files with file upload to the same "TEMP" and displayed in a Grid View to remove or add files and send everything to a email, the attachment capability is working. Everything is working with the PDF not the files(attachments).

There is a way to get the multiple files from the "TEMP" folder and add it to some dynamically variable (array list, attachment collection, list collection, etc.) so all can be send to the email. I already know the way to put it into the email with the PDF. The problem is to get the files and add it to the dynamic variable and that it work with the email.

If the code is need it, let me know.

Thanks

Adding Dynamic Rows in ASP.NET GridView Control with TextBoxes and with Delete functionality

In my previous examples, I have demonstrated on how to add dynamic rows in GridView control with TextBoxes and how to save the values into the database. So in this example, I'm going to show on how to delete a certain row in the dynamic GridView with TextBoxes.

A Generic Dialog ViewModel

I worked on a wpf viewmodel for dialogs, because it seemed strange to me that you needed for instance windows forms dialogs to open or save files in wpf. So I set about creating my own wpf dialogs. After creating the dialog viewmodels there still remained a small issue with the library and also I didn't have much time to write an article about it. I however published the library containing the viewmodels for dialogs with another article on my blog
