I'm having some trouble with my Sharepoint 2010 Hyper-V VHD. It continues to grow and grow until the host server runs out of disk space. Once the server is rebooted, the space recycles and doesn't grow for some time, but it always starts to grow
again and fills up the host. Some info on my environment:
The Sharepoint 2010 VHD is set to dynamically grow, and the max size is 1TB. (I have set all my VHDs to this size, and haven't had this problem with any other virtual server.) I set it to this size so that even if the physical hardware runs out of space,
the virtual server won't.
It's currently running on a server that has 250GB hard drives. While I know this is significantly smaller than the 1TB VHD, some of our hardware has larger hard drives, and virts tend to get migrated around as need be.
All databases have been set to simple, and none of them are expanding at a rate that would cause this issue.
Like I said above, we run mostly everything in virts, and all of the virts are setup the same way, dynamically expanding with 1TB VHDs. NONE of them act this way. My question is, what is filling up my VHD? Is it Sharepoint doing something or is it something
