Posted By:      Posted Date: October 05, 2010    Points: 0   Category :SharePoint

Hi I am changing the view of my Performance Point Services report and want to save the same like it was possible in proclarity. I have been told that all features of Proclarity are there in Sharepoint Performance Point Services.

I  was able to find the decomposition chart but not the option of saving the modified view. Has this been removed,If yes can i use Object Model and write code for it.

Thanks,

Gautam

SSRS Report Sorting issue in Dashboard created usign Performance point services in sharepoint 2010

I have created a report in SSRS and this report is integrated within a dashboard created using performance point services in sharepoint 2010.

The report is a simple tabular report with 5 coulmns and interactive sorting is enabled on each of them.

Sorting works when the report is viewed separately but gives "Report Server Error" when I try to sort (on any column) inside the dashboard.

I have user IP instead of host name in the report server url.

Please help.

Thanks,

Abbas

Change performance point report color

This should be a simple question. I would like to change the color of the bars in the bar graph charts, and the color of the line in the line graph charts. I would imagine there is a way to do this.

SQL Server 2008 R2 Reporting Services - How to I run a report and save the output as a .pdf on the s

I have the source code for doing what I want to do using a previous version of SSRS.  Since the new release, the service seems to work differently as I can't find any of the methods in the WSDL:

private
 void
 GetReportByEmail()
{
//Validate txtEmail for inputting

if
 (txtEmail.Text.ToUpper().StartsWith("XX"
))
{
lblPrompt.Text="You must enter a valid email address!"
;
lblPrompt.Visible=true
;
return
;
}

if
 (txtEmail.Text.IndexOf("@"
)<3)
{
lblPrompt.Text="You must enter a valid email address!"
;
lblPrompt.Visible=true
;
return
;
}

//Get report

TimeSheet.wdsg_svr003.ReportingService rs=new

TimeSheet.wdsg_svr003.ReportingService();
rs.Url="http://localhost/ReportServer/ReportService.asmx"
;
rs.Credentials=System.Net.CredentialCache.Def

"Cannot Connect to Performance Point Services"

When attempting to create my first data source in Performance Point Services Dashboard Designer, I get the above error.  I am owner on the Sharepoint Farm and the PPS site.

Not able to use SSRS report with a parameter within Performance Point 2010

I have created a report in SSRS 2008 and have passed a parameter called Carrier to it. The report works fine on http://machinename/reports and am able to pass parameters to the report including the All Carriers parameter.

However I cannot get the report to run in PPS 2010. In PPS I have created a multi value filter called as Carrier and have passed this filter to this report. But when I execute this report I get the following error :

    Reporting Services Error

  • Default value or value provided for the report parameter 'Carrier' is not a valid value. (rsInvalidReportParameter) Get Online Help

SQL Server Reporting Services

I have used the data type as string in SSRS.

Where can I view the Reporting Services apart to Report Viewer and Sharepoint?

Hello Guys,

Someone know if  can I add a report server on Jboss Portlet or other service web?, I have a Portal of JBoss technology and I'll want to add in a portlet the reports that I made in Reporting Services and Analysis Services, but I ignore if could this is possible?

I'll appreciate any information about that. Thanks a lot.

Regard's.

Which JOIN style is better from performance point of view?

Hi,

If I do,

SELECT col1, col2....

FROM table1 AS A

INNER JOIN

(SELECT col3, col4....

FROM table2) B

ON A.col1 = B.col3

Or, I first take the inner query in a temp table first and then use that temp table directly in the JOIN? Consider that both the tables are really really huge (over 100 million records, and they have proper indexes).

Sachin

.NET CLR Profiling Services: Track Your Managed Components to Boost Application Performance

The Microsoft .NET platform provides you with a rich set of services for building profilers and application monitors for applications targeting the Common Language Runtime (CLR). These services expose runtime events that occur during the execution of a .NET application. They can be used to obtain information about managed code being executed under the runtime. This article describes the .NET CLR Profiling Services and shows how to use the services to build a simple profiler that will provide hot spot information for any .NET application. The sample profiler can easily be modified to suit other profiling and monitoring needs.

Personal view reverts back to default after updating properties of item

I am working with a company that has 1 site collection with several sub sites.  I have built 3 document libraries with workflow in 3 different sub sites and all behave as expected.  I have one site where ALL libraries do something perplexing;

If you are in a custom personal view and you go into the properties of a document and then exit (update or not, does not matter) it reverts back to the default view of that library.

Has anyone seen this?  is there an option when creating an album that could cause this?

thanks in advance for any input on this odd issue.

Need to install Report View Redistributables on the report server?

Hi there:   I've developed a webapps utilizing MS reporting service reports and it works fine on my local machine. When I promoted to production server, it failed . People say I need to install MS reportViewer redistributables on the report server.   1. What is this MS ReportView redistributables anyway??? I've already included ReportView control in my apps and can someone explain to me why I need to install on the report server?   2. If I can not install the redistributables on the report server as the client may refuse to install due to whatsoever reasons, it there anyway to get around?   3. For any winForms apps, do I need to install the redistributables on the report server?   thanks    Hui--Currently using Reporting Service 2000; Visual Studio .NET 2003; Visual Source Safe SSIS 2008 SSAS 2008, SVN --
