Would anyone like to get paid for their assistance?

Posted By:      Posted Date: October 05, 2010    Points: 0   Category :SharePoint

I have several small problems with my simple setup.  I have MOSS 2007 installed on a Windows 2003 R2 Server that also has SQL 2008 running on it as well.  I have about 6 or 7 problems throughout my site ie:

Why does SQL take up so much memory

Why can't a user's information completely dissappear when I delete them, am I not doing it correctly?

Automated messages are not going out to users when a calendar event is created.

and more....  Would anyone like to make some money to fix these issues?  I have posted here too many times and either no one answers or they dont have the answers.

thanks!

Assistance with SELECT statement requested

Hi All, I am having trouble getting started on writing a select statement to meet the following requirements.  I have a table with Employee Ids, address types, and address information.  I would like to obtain one record for each EmplID based upon the Type column; the PRF type record if it exists, otherwise then the PRI record.  (See Table A) TableA Rcd #, EmplID, Type, Address Data 1, 000001, PRI, etc 2, 000001, PRF, etc 3, 000002, PRI, etc 4, 000003, PRI, etc 5, 000003, PRF, etc 6, 000003, OTH, etc So, my result set from the table above would be: 2, 000001, PRF, etc 3, 000002, PRI, etc 5, 000003, PRF, etc What is the best way to obtain this information via a SELECT statement?  Thanks in advance, Steve

'AllowUnsafeUpdates' property on SPWeb - Ask urgently for assistance!

<!-- @page { margin: 2cm } P { margin-bottom: 0.21cm } --> Hi all, since two days I look without success for a solution for an update, which because of - Updates are currently disallowed on GET requests. To allow updates on a GET, set the 'AllowUnsafeUpdates' property on SPWeb. - can not be accomplished. My assumption is that the error could have to do something with the implemented context. I am missing the necessary know-how to limit the Error. Would be grateful for each assistance! SQL 2005 Query Assistance needed

Question: I need some assistance with the below mentioned code. Essentially what I need to do is insert a new row for an off-setting A/R account. For Example, I will have two rows (one for the charge and one for the adjustment each related by the PatientVisitId (distinct and primary key)). An example of this would look like this minus a lot of my fields, but to give you a fast visual: Charge: Credit = $225.00, Debit = $0.00 Adjustment: Credit = $0.00, Debit = $65.00 What I need is a new row for the difference. In this instance, I would get a new row "A/R" with a Credit = $0.00, Debit = $160.00 SET NOCOUNT ON ; WITH CTE AS ( --- Bring in the Charges SELECT 'Charge' AS [Type], pv.TicketNumber, pv.PatientVisitId, b.[Entry] AS BatchEntry, '100' AS [Fund], LEFT(ISNULL(fin.Ledger , '') , 5)AS [GL#], LEFT(ISNULL(fac.Ledger , '') , 4)AS [Prog], LEFT(ISNULL(ic.Ledger , '') , 4) AS [Srce], '' AS [Func], --- Need case statement here for Place Of Service LEFT(ISNULL(doc.Ledger , '') , 4)AS [EE], '99999' AS [Seg 1], '99999' AS [Seg 2], ' ' AS [Debit], (CONVERT(varchar, SUM(pvp.totalfee))) AS [Credit], ISNULL(ic.ListName,'Self') + SPACE(2) + fac.ListName + SPACE(2) + 'A/R' AS [Description] FROM PatientVisit pv INNER JOIN DoctorFacility comp ON pv.CompanyI

Need Assistance to Add Several Tries To Connect Before Exception is Thrown

Hello,

In the script below I need to add a couple of tries before the exception is thrown. The Catch statement fails to detect some exceptions and my page displays an error if an unhandled error is generated. What usually happens is that the script tries to connect to the cube while the cube db is being renamed and that generates an error. I am trying to add a loop to force the reconnection after say 30 seconds and retry the querying. I want the script to generate the error only after the second/third failure .

I've attempted the LOOP but it did not help. Please help. Thanks

Need replication architecture assistance (near-real time merge repl across 2 separate companies and

I've read several different replication scenarios and technologies native to SQL Server (we are talking about SQL Server 2005) but have some questions.

I have a project to integrate/replicate two network-separated SQL Server 2005 databases.  Each database resides in a physically separate location at different companies.  They will not have a shared network environment and will not allow direct connection between the two databases.

We need to keep each database in sync as far as customer records.  Near real time is preferable.  There is not master.  One could add/delete/modify a customer record in one database and it needs to reflect in the other database.

The closest we could get for connectivity architecture looks like this:

1.  Each database is on the separate internal networks for each company.

2.  Each organization HAS agreed to setup a DMZ on their sides specifically for this exchange.  Each respective DMZ will be able to communicate with their own internal SQL Server and have a fiber connect directly connecting each organization's dmz.

SO.... is there a good way to replicate from InternalSQL_1 - DMZ1 - DMZ2 - InternalSQL_2 near real time?

What would your recommendation be?  Pretty sure I'd setup both internal InternalSQL as Pub/Sub/Dist but I'm solici

Assistance required on modifying a validation expression

I have found a very useful validation expression at http://regexlib.com/DisplayPatterns.aspx?cattabindex=2&categoryId=3  However, I want to make a couple of changes but am struggling a little!!

The expression is:

^[-]?([1-9]{1}[0-9]{0,}(\.[0-9]{0,2})?|0(\.[0-9]{0,2})?|\.[0-9]{1,2})$

As per the link, this "regular expression will match on a real / decimal / floating point / numeric string with no more than 2 digits past the decimal. The negative sign (-) is allowed. No leading zeroes or commas. It is based on a currency regular expression by Tom Persing."

I would like to modify this as follows:

- Not match on numbers above 999
- Allow up to 5 digits past the decimal

Not a web guru and need assistance using infopath 2010

Greetings,

I need to build a form for a sharepoint site, and understand that infopath is my best solution. I have Sharepoint 2007, and Infopath Designer 2010 (in Office Pro Plus 2010)

Can someone direct me to a place with a really user friendly tutorial on how to build a web form in Infopath 2010?

Thank you so much in advance.

Need assistance obtaining the correct data and layout in a stored procedure

So let me start out by describing my tables:

Project Table: ProjectID (PK), Project Name, etc.

Buyer Table: BuyerID (PK), ProjectID (FK), Buyer Type*, Buyer Status**

*There are 3 buyer types, for simplicity lets call them A, B, C

**There are 12 different buyer statuses

In my stored procedure my parameter is ProjectID. What I want to do is count the number of buyers for a project that have each status. The kicker is that I need the buyers in each status (for a particular project) segmented by buyer type (A, B, C). The result would probably look like this:

Status             A                B                  C

First                1                2                   1

Second           2                 1    &

I have a stored procedure that was previously working but has since stopped since I imported date into the table that it should be altering.

The purpose of this stored proc is to take new patient data input by user and add data to new record in patient table and generate and output the new patients ID number.  But now upon execution I recieve the error msg: Procedure or function has too many arguments specified.  This is a critical and time sensitive issue so ANY assistance would be appreciated.
