The issue is, sorting function works fine in simple reports whereas its not working good in the reports where grouping is involved. Could you please help me to resolve it?

Function not working in IE but work in all other browsers

I tested a JQuery function to create a Facebook like progress image. It works like a charm in all browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Opera) except IE8.

Any idea why?

    <script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.2/jquery.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript">
        $(document).ready(function () {
            $('a').click(function (e) {
                var el = '';
                switch (e.target.text) {
                    case "Box 1":
                        el = '#box1';

Cannot get OnClick, OnMouseOver, etc. functions to work in Firefox (but they work just fine in IE)

I am adding the following VB event handler code to my GridView's RowDataBound event:

If (e.Row.RowType = DataControlRowType.DataRow) Then
e.Row.Attributes.Add("onmouseover", "this.style.cursor='hand';this.style.textDecoration='underline';")
e.Row.Attributes.Add("onmouseout", "this.style.textDecoration='none';")
e.Row.Attributes.Add("onclick", ClientScript.GetPostBackClientHyperlink(Me.GridView1, "Select$" + e.Row.RowIndex.ToString()))
End If

This code works just fine in Internet Explorer, but not in Firefox. The If statement returns true, but none of the On... events get fired. What is blocking this in Firefox?

How to call a JQuery Sorting Function ?

Hi everyone

I found the following sorting code. People are saying the code is working.

But I don't know how to call it so that it is not working for me.  Please

let me know how to call the JQuery function.

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">

 * jQuery.fn.sortElements

 * @param Function comparator:
 * Exactly the same behaviour as [1,2,3].sort(comparator)
 * @param Function getSortable
 * A function that should return the element that is
 * to be sorted. The comparator will run on the
 * current collection, but you may want the actual
 * resulting sort to occur on a parent or another
 *   associated element.
 *   E.g. $('td').sortElements(comparator, function(){
 *      return this.parentNode;
 *   })
 * The <td>'s parent (<tr>) will be sorted instead
 *   of the <td> itself.
jQuery.fn.sortElements = (funct

Cannot make filter function work the way I want it to on a drop down box

Building a template based on a database in order to submit data to the database. Key components are a separate Materials database qry providing material name and type and then the process data that will feed into the main connection the "process database".  On the Process form, I'm trying to understand how to set up a filter that when the material name is selected from the drop down box that pulls from the materials qry, then the material type automatically populates in a separate ???? type box??  I need the Material type to match the material name (one to one).  I'm just not too sure about filters???

"Old" Views work fine, "New" Views throw an error

I have a very weird problem with Analysis Services 2008 R2.  When I add an existing View to the DSV then it works fine.  I can add a dimension and process it with no errors.

When I create a new View and add this to the DSV then everything looks okay, I can explore the data and this looks good.  But when I try to create a dimension from the new View then it fails when processing saying, "Invalid object name 'dbo.vwTest'" for example.

I am using a domain user account for Impersonation and this account has sysadmin rights on the database in question.  I also checked the GRANTs were the same on both views and they are.  In fact I ended up checking everything on the Property pages to ensure they were identical for the working and non-working View.

As far as I can tell there is no difference between existing Views and ones I create so why should this be happening?

AJAX GridView Paging and Sorting using C# in ASP.Net

To enable the GridView Paging and Sorting to update the GridView Data without refreshing the ASP.Net web page AJAX Extension controls are used. UpdatePanel is used to hold the GridView control that triggers the events for the controls placed inside it. By Default UpdatePanel triggers the asynchronous postbacks for its child controls.

Sorting Gridview using Jquery with ASP.NET

I want to show how to sorting a gridview using a Jquery in ASP.NET, it is a flexible client-side table sorting. We have known that Jquery is a new kind of Javascript Library. You can find detail of Jquery in this site http://jquery.com/ there are lot of example with documentation and also allow free download a latest version.

Sorting Gridview using Jquery with ASP.NET

used table sorter plug-in which has written by Christian Bach can found http://tablesorter.com/docs/ . It is really cool plug-in and user can allow to download and customization as their wish.

I test this example in Visual Studio 2005. Some of other requirement needed is download a latest version of Jquery from official website and table sorter plug-in which can found as I mention above website.
