i use crystal report integrated with vs.2008, and i want to make chart with dual axis (bar & line).
i have used bar chart and input the data with 2 values..
then in chart options > template, i activated the dual axis..
my question is, how i can change the 2nd value with line chart not bar chart??
i'd tried to find the right settings in "chart options" but still can't find the solution.
for information in "chart options" there are 4 sub menu : template, general,titles,grid..
i read in a tutorial there's more sub menu called "series" in crystal report (stand alone version)..
is it possible doing it in Crystal Report VS. 2008?
please,, i need your advice and solution..
I am relatively new here but here goes. I am working with Windows XP, Visual Studio 2008, SQL Server 2005, WPF. I am working on a Payroll System and trying to create a work schedule grid. I have searched for timelines and datagrids and Gantt Charts to see
if anything like this has been done but can't seem to find anything. What I am trying to do is I have a Crosstab query that goes against two tables. Table 1 is Employee Number, Employee Name, Employee Location. Table 2 has Employee number, Date, Hours. The
query gives me Header Row 1, Employee Name in Column 1, then each date (1/1, 1/2, 1/3, etc.) for the following columns. So Row 2 is Joe Smith in Column 1, 8 hours in Column 2, 0 hours in column 3, etc.
I need this information displayed in a grid format that could be scrolled. I couldn't find timeline views or datagrids views. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I have checked other sites but there doesn't appear to be any examples anywhere.
I need an advice about the layout of a multi-series stacked chart (which I hope is the correct way to realize my report). The data I need to draw has the following structure (aggregations have already been calculated in the database query due to the high amount
Date Priority Value
2010-09-19 A 48
2010-09-19 B 50
2010-09-19 C 45
2010-09-19 TA A 11
2010-09-19 TA B 18
2010-09-19 TA C 2
2010-09-19 Total 143
The chart must contain Date on X axis, the Value on Y Axis and stack in the same chart area 7 different graphs according to priority field:
- 4 must be line graph (Priority = A, B, C, Total)
- 3 must be column graph (Priority = TA A, TA B, TA C)
Here follows the way I conceived the chart:
- Date field goes into Category Groups
For a report executed from Report Manager that has a bar chart component, regenerating the report via refresh or view with same input parameters either gives a different result that is garbled or an empty chart (2008) or no chart at all (2005). I have
the report set up to not do any caching, so that does not seem to be the issue. Is there some chart option I may need to set to get the proper chart display.
I need to create SPC Histogram chart in SSRS 2008 to represent Cp, Cpk etc. i can calculate all this Cp, Cpk but not getting how to represent as a chart in SSRS 2008. I know there is no readymate template availavle in SSRS for SPC but
is there any other way to draw histogram chart ?
You can see the SPC histogram chart example on this link :
Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.
Thanks & Regards
I would like to control the visibility of a data label in a line chart using an expression. For example, I have a requirement to show the data label for two compariable data points in a line chart where the horizontal axis is time (Q1, Q2, Q3,
etc...) and the data points are determined based on a selected parameter. The basic idea is that a user can select to view Q3 as the end point of reporting and the chart will graph a complete time line (e.g. FY 2001 thru FYXX
Q3) but only show the label for Q3 and prior year Q3.
I have tried to build an expression in the visibility property of 'Chart Series Labels' but this does not appear to work.
I haven't seen a way to create text labels for the y-axis of my scatter chart. As a quick fix I just created labels outside of the chart and positioned them near the major tick marks.
On the x-axis of the scatter chart I have been able to create text labels. Sometimes the text is long which the chart then wraps so that the labels look nice and neat.
The problem is that if a text label on the x-axis is too long the chart's height is reduced. So then the tick marks on the y-axis don't match up with my text labels that I created outside of the chart for the y-axis.
Is it possible to create text labels for the y-axis of the chart? OR is there a way to define a height for the chart area?
I want to plot series in a line Graph on UTC time which has to be placed on Primary category axis. The secondary category axis should just display the correspoding PST time(No series need to be plotted on this). Is there a way to achive this?
