How to combine these two Reg Ex

Posted By:      Posted Date: October 04, 2010    Points: 0   Category :.NET Framework

How would I combine these two regular expressions?  The first one says there must be a string with 6-30 characters.  The second one says it can not be exactly 9 numbers.

Goal: May contain a combination of 6-30 numbers, letters and characters without spaces.  May not be exactly 9 numbers.

Web Services: Increase Your App's Reach Using WSDL to Combine Multiple Web Services

The very tools that have helped drive the growing adoption of Web services, and the enabling abstractions that they provide, can often prevent developers from peeking behind the curtains at the XML standards that make up the Web services stack. This article will offer a solution that enables type sharing between proxies created for complementary Web services, while at the same time providing an opportunity to examine the Web Services Description Language (WSDL) and its interaction with the Web services tools you know and love.

ASP.NET: Combine Web and Windows Services to Run Your ASP.NET Code at Scheduled Intervals

If you want to schedule ASP.NET tasks, one solution is to use a Web service to provide an interface to your ASP.NET application and build a Windows service that calls to it at scheduled intervals. Thus the ASP.NET application doesn't have to own the scheduling logic. Here the author shows how to schedule your ASP.NET tasks using a Windows service to initiate the Web service call because Windows services can start themselves when Windows boots up.

Combine two tables

I have two tables: tInv containing invoices. The fields I am interested in: id cusid ' customer id source ' invoice# dtjournal ' invoice date And tSal containing orders (not billed/shipped yet) with the fields: id cusid ' customerid salnr ' sales order number dtsalordr ' sales order date I need to query these two tables and return a single table ordered by date, containing: id,cusid, number, date, type ('in' or 'so') In other words I need to select id and cusid from both tables and dtjournal and dtsalordr from either table and combine into one column 'date' and get source & salnr and combine into 'number' I want a list, ordered by date, of all invoices & orders. Is this a possibility with a SELECT statement or do I need to fetch both tables, and then manually move the rows into a new table?   Thanks, Erwin

Combine two queries in one resultset

How do I combine multiple VB arraylists into one?

Hi Everyone- I have three arraylists (datasets and subsets) that I need to combine into one arrraylist so I can databind it to a repeater control and then present data to the user.  As far as I know, you can only bind the repeater with one datasource (please correct me if this is wrong) that's why I'm combining these arraylists. Each arraylist has an ID from the database which I can use as a datakey to keep the data aligned.  How do I combine these lists? Thanks for your help!

Combine Common Code in Stored Procedure

I have the following stored procedure: ALTER PROCEDURE dbo.tc_TopicsGetTopics ( @StartRow int, @MaxRows int, @LocationID int, @GroupID int ) AS BEGIN SET NOCOUNT ON -- Return topics IF @GroupID <> 0 BEGIN WITH TopTemp AS (SELECT TOP (@StartRow + @MaxRows) ROW_NUMBER() OVER (ORDER BY TopCreated DESC) AS RowID, TopID, TopTitle, TopCreated FROM Topics WHERE TopGroupID = @GroupID) SELECT TopID, TopTitle, TopCreated FROM TopTemp WHERE RowID BETWEEN @StartRow + 1 AND (@StartRow + @MaxRows) ORDER BY RowID END ELSE BEGIN WITH TopTemp AS (SELECT TOP (@StartRow + @MaxRows) ROW_NUMBER() OVER (ORDER BY TopCreated DESC) AS RowID, TopID, TopTitle, TopCreated FROM Topics WHERE TopLocationID = @LocationID) SELECT TopID, TopTitle, TopCreated FROM TopTemp WHERE RowID BETWEEN @StartRow + 1 AND (@StartRow + @MaxRows) ORDER BY RowID END RETURN END Two questions: 1. Is there a simple way to move the two identical SELECT statements out of the IF statement so it would only need to appear once in the procedure? I assume I could create a temporary table. Is that the same as using WITH? 2. Does anyone see much reason to do what I'm asking? Would it affect storage or efficiency? Thanks!  Jonathan Wood • SoftCircuits • Developer Blog

SQL Combine Inner Joins HELP!!!!

Is it possible to combine implementation variable with design time activities?

Here is my scenario : - We have a custom While activity which can take an Activity<bool> as a condition in the designer.- We can program some predefined conditions with Activity<bool> (useful for complex conditions), and they can have some variables, for exemple "IsGreaterThanActivity" with arguments "Number1" and "Number2".- Some of the conditions have internal states (for exemple, the current position in a list). We don't wan't to show them in the designer, it's implementation detail (so they use AddImplementationVariable). - Our custom While activity schedule the condition, if true his body, and so on... So, to not lose the internal state of the condition between executions, it would be nice to add an implementation variable to the custom while activity, and "bind" the condition state by an InArgument to the while.- We do not want to show the state in the designer (it should always be binded, so we do the binding in the CacheMetadata). But if we do a AddImplementationChild to add the condition in the CacheMetadata, the condition won't find design time variables / arguments. So we need to do a AddChild. But if we do AddChild, we can't get the implementation variable to store the state. And if we use the AddVariable, in the xaml we see the variable decleration, so it's possible to alter them. So is there any way to use

How to Combine ScriptResource.axd and WebResource.axd files in ASP.Net 2.0

 Hi All,

Please help me to resolve the below issue

Basically My requirement is  to combine webresource.axd and scriptresource.axd files.

As you know when we use asp.net ajax and ajaxtoolkit in the application by default , some of the javascript files(webresource.axd and scriptresource.axd) will load automatically.

For loading all the JavaScript files browser will take multiple requests, To reduce the multiple requests i am trying  to combine all the scripts into one file and loading into the client side.

I have tried to resolve using custom httpmodule and httphandlers but they are still putting me in loops.

If i am not using AjaxToolkit Controls my custom httpmodule working fine to combine scriptresource.axd and webresource.axd files

andalso browser taking only one request to get all the javascript files.

if i am using Ajaxtoolkitcontrols i am getting error scriptLoad Failed exception and sys is undefined

I just wanted to knock people to understand if they had used a different method, we could get some help.

I want to do everything using asp.net 2.0

combine Document libraries 2010 that is in Draft mode into a dashboard

I have a question on Sharepoint Enteprise 2010

I have couple of document libraries in one site that needs to rollup to a dashboard where the content should be displayed in an combined view ,showing draft versions only, perhaps in a summary total of ones in Draft.

Basically the best solution will be if I can get a summary list of some sort with the link back to docuemnt library where the draft documents reside.
The user will then edit the draft document and Approve the document that will remove it from the view.
With such a dashboard the user will always quickly see how many documents are left in Draft per library

Something similar to what you see at {site}/_layouts/viewlsts.aspx?BaseType=1 on the site would be really cool for the client.

Or even the content Query grouped by Content Type but when clicking on the item its should go the view Properties or something, even though Sharepoint2010 pops up with View Properties and not same as 2007, possible?

My documents libraries have a content type that all inherit from the same Parent Content type, so already quite well structured. Each Document library runs a custom workflow on them that prevents me from moving them all into one Document Library.

Any suggestions, with little custom development out there? with link perhaps?

Combine two datasets matching on group names?

Have a "how would I accomplish this?" SQL query question for the gurus in the group....

I have a table that I need to query against for a "report". The report wants to see "counts" style data broken up by year and grouped by company divisions. Something like this:

Line of Business     2009       % of Total          2010         % of Total
Parent Group           54              40%            56                42%
- Sub Division A        4               3%             3                 3%
- Sub Division B        1               1%

Combine multiple xml elements into one column field based on subheading

I need to pull down data from a third party vendor's SQL view, where one of the columns is xml. I've never worked with xml before; unfortunately our vendor was not willing to change the format to what they were previously providing.

XML Example:

<ResponseDTO xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
