How to create a custom view in SharePoint 2010?

I can't find a good answer for this with the 15 minutes of searching I have done. Makes me think that there might be some roadblocks here.  I want to create a custom view for a list in sharepoint. Basically, I want to conditionally apply some custom table row formatting based on a value of a column in that row  conditionally add an image along with a text in a column (again based on a column value) I am thinking that a custom view is the way to go...any direction on this? maybe a link to a good example? Thanks, Jake.

How to create a custom page layout in sharepoint foundation 2010

I need to create a custom page layout in sharepoint foundation 2010.

I am aware that wss 3.0 and sharepoint foundation do not have the publishing infrastructure.

I need to know if the same procedure that is used to create custom web part pages in WSS 3.0 is to be used in SharePoint foundation too or are there other ways.

I am relatively a fresher to sharepoint technology. Please help.

Thanks in advance:D.

Using Custom Controls in InfoPath 2010

Dear all,

I'm hoping that you can help me, I've never used the custom controls in InfoPath and im only slightly familiar to IP2010.. If I explain what I've done, it might make more sense! I'm trying (firstly) to add the Adobe PDF read ActiveX control onto my InfoPath form, but I get an error:

"Controls that are not compatible with the current view compatibility settings will be hidden." - "The cusomt control that you have added is not compatible with the current form template or template part, and will be hidden in the controls task pane."

This is from a blank form template. What I hope to acheive in the future, is to add a more comprehensive PDF reader, which will allow the user to annotate documents, etc, (if you know of a good free PDF ActiveX control that would do this, feel free to recommend it to me!)

This will eventually be published to a form library on SharePoint 2010, but firstly I'd be happy to just have it working! If you could offer any advice or assistance to the above, it would be most appreciated!!!

Kind Regards,

Quick way to create a custom form with InfoPath

Hello! I'm using MOSS 2007 and I am only able to use SharePoint Designer and the browser to build forms and to perform site admin (Federal Agency security).

We've got a list for which we want to make a custom form. I've found tutotials that show me how to connect InfoPath with a SharePoint list via webservice. However, I'm wondering if there's an easier way to create a form in a form library and connect it to a list so that it can send data to the list.

Custom list -- control issue with column type "Choice" and Infopath 2010

I finally got our project lead to abandon external SQL lists, so now I've created custom lists in SP 2010. I have some columns that are of "Choice" type/"Display as radio buttons" (customer requirement). When I start Infopath 2010 locally and create the data connections to the list(s), those choice fields display in I/P as dropdowns. If I change the control with a right-click to "Option Button", I only get one -- I need 2 (yes, no) or, in a few upcoming cases 3 or 4. BTW, same with changing the control to a check box -- only get 1. FWIW, I get the same results if I start Infopath directly from the list in SP Designer 2010. Any ideas?

Unable to create task using Custom task Process Action in Sharepoint Designer 2010 workflow

Problem : In Sharepoint Designer 2010, we are working on creating reusable workflow.
In workflow we are using "Start Custom task process" action. It has been observed that, all of the sudden it behaves weirdly. It creates task but without any number appending to taskform.for eg. when we create task it generally shows "Start Task(1) process on Current Item with these users" However now it does not provide any number with Task. It shows "Start Task process on Current Item with These users"
In task form , it does not allows to add task forms fields from existing fields nor allows to create outcomes.
Thus we are unable to create any new workflows or edit and enhance exisitng workflows in the site. This is showstoper for project. Client wants to use sharepoint designer exclusively to develop workflow.
When we tried to create workflow (Sharepoint designer) in a new site with new list it allows us to create custom tasks process.
Resoultions approaches done so far.
1) Took backup of site on local box from Server and tried to create custom process task but not able to do it.
2) On Server removed all unwanted workflow status columns from the tasks list but still not able to create custom process task
3) Took backup and t
