We are accessing our sharepoint services 3.0 document library through outlook 2007.
We can open the files in word/excel etc, but when we go to check-in the document the application tells us that we only have read access to the document, and cant check the document back in to the server.
It works fine via the browser, the read only problem is only when checking out through outlook.
I have given all users full access and design access to the doc library.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have created a Document Library in My portal. I am able to access, create and upload document when I am in connecting to the portal from my office (Intranet).
I am able to access the Document Library when I am connecting using Internet (external). But I am not able save Documents into Document Library. I am getting Below error Message.
"Documents in this folder are not available. The Folder May have been moved or deleted, or Network porblems may be preventing a connection to the server".
I am using Microsoft ISA as proxy server.
Please suggest me what might be wrong.
Our users are being prompted to save PDF documents when clicking on them in SharePoint 2010. We set the 'Browser File Handling' setting to 'Permissive' for the Web Application, but we are still being prompted for some of the PDF files. Some
PDF files open fine, though. Doug
I'm having some trouble saving documents to sharepoint.
Server: W2k3 Standard R2 with SP2
Sharepoint: WSS 3.0 with SP2
Client: WinXP Pro with SP3, Office 2007 Pro with SP2
When I create a new document in a document library and try to save it, Word will freeze and the document will not save t the library.
If I create a new document and save it without spaces, it saves and checks-in fine.
If I edit an existing document (with or without spaces) it will work fine.
Uploading documents works fine too.
Anyone have any ideas about this?
We're developing an Office add-in that will store documents in a database. What I'd like to be able to do is save the document to the server using a web-style address (e.g. http://documentsystem/NewDocument.docx), kind of like how it's done in SharePoint.
The user does not need to enter the full address, it will be configured elsewhere, and the save process will be more or less automated.
When uploaded, I want to intercept the file, read the contents and store it in the database using some kind of custom handler. Is this possible? How would I go about doing this? Should I be using WebDAV? WCF services?
...also when Office documents are saved to document library they open as Read-only and cannot be saved back to the same document library.
This only happens in my production SharePoint 2007 environment from client XP and IE7 machine. It does not happen in developement environment (which mirrors
production) from client XP/IE7 machines.
Save works fine to SharePoint document libraries from client Win 7 and IE8 machines in both production and development environments.
This only happens when attempting to save to a My Site Personal Documents document library. Any other document library this behavior does not exist from XP
or Win 7 machine.
What settings controls ones ability to save to a personal My site document library. What setting could be different between prod and dev installations?
It only happens
I am trying to save values into a Profile on Page1, then redirect to Page2 and access those values. However, after the page redirects the profile values are blank as if they were never saved. When stepping through the code I can see that they are being save on Page 1.
I suppose I could use session variables to store the information but I don't understand why saving the profile doesn't work.
private void PayWithPayPal()
ProfileCommon profile = this.Profile;
if (Global.CurrentUserName.Length > 0)
profile = this.Profile.GetProfile(Global.CurrentUserName);
profile.FirstName = uxFirstNameShipping.Text;
profile.LastName = uxLastNameBilling.Text;
profile.ShippingAddress.AddressLineOne = uxAddressLineOneShipping.Text;
profile.ShippingAddress.AddressLineTwo = uxAddressLineTwoShipping.Text;
profile.ShippingAddress.City = uxCityShipping.Text;
profile.ShippingAddress.State = uxStateShipping.Text;
profile.ShippingAddress.ZipCode = uxPostalCodeShipping.Text;
protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
