Integrate extranet Infopath with sharepoint intranet sites.

We ahve an extranet where customers can login to the corporate website and upload some documents to the sharepoint site though one custom dotnet application. In the same I need to create on custom page (custom aspx page) where users can directly enter their information on Infopath form (browser based), it should be submitted to the intranet sharepoint form library. Once the form is submitted to the form library I need to show the same form's link on the aspx page (custom aspx page developed for the customers). Users (customers/Out side people) should able to modify the form anytime and submit the same to the for mlibrary. Can anyo0ne suggest the right apporoach to accomplish this? Thanks in advance.

anonymous users vs intranet users in sharepoint 2010 internet facing sites

We have sharepoint 2010 internet facing sites where inside custom master page we have security trimmed control which hides site actions for general users.

Now we have anonymous access enabled. So any body can access this site.

Now even if user is author or from intranet , he can not see site actions as we do not have any sign in link.

How to automatically show site actions to users from intranet and with proper rights and hide siteactions to anonymous users?

Issues with Enterprise Wiki Sites unavailable when create Intranet Team Site

I have created Enterprise Wiki Sites and have created an Extranet Team Site and was able to create an Enterprise Wiki Site as well with it but for some reason I do not have the ability or option to create an Enterprise Wiki Site or even page when I have a Team Site on an Intranet.  I have turned on all of the publishing features but the only wiki item available to me is the wiki library.

I'm assuming I must have to activate or deactivate some other feature but I have no idea which one.

Question about IIS URLs and web sites

I have a small data-driven site.  I am trying to figure out if there is a way to map multiple URLs to a single site.  What I am hoping to do is use a single set of pages with multiple SQLDataSources configured for the page.  If a person navigates to the URL www.yoursite.com I would select one of the SQLDataSources.  If a person navigates to the URL www.mysite.com I would select another.  Is it possible to set IIS to handle this kind of incoming request with muliple bindings?  I can handle the ASP.NET side of it.  I just am not sure about the bindings aspect.

HttpContext.Current.Response.Redirect Not Working for Local Intranet Zone Sites

Hi All,

I have made this a seperate question as the original topic of another user who had a similiar issue was marked answered, however his answer is not mine.

In my infopath form, after the submit event, I am using HttpContext.Current.Response.Redirect(URL, false) to change the page.

I use an XPathNavigator to get the value for URL from a simple text box.

If i type in that text box http://www.google.com or http://www.hotmail.com, for instance, the page redirects perfectly.

However, if I type in a site address like http://intranet.mundaring.wa.gov.au or http://localhost for instance (which I need to), the form simply throws a critical error with no more detail than that.

The only pattern I can see is that the sites that DO work are in the Internet Zone, and all the sites that DO NOT work are all listed as Local Intranet sites.

I cannot change my local intranet sites as they are enforced by policy.

Please could somebody assist me with why this may be doing this. The form is opened from the intranet (a local site) so no zone change is taking place.

Extranet alert emails have intranet URLs

I have a extranet site that is extended from an intranet site and when ever a workflow is created and it sends out emails it includes the intranet url instead of the extranet url.

for alerts it uses the correct url.

any ideas?

Sharepoint Intranet Sites

My municipality recently implemented Sharepoint 2007.  I would like to see examples and/or discuss how other governmental agencies have utilized/implemented Sharepoint (what content did they upload to their libraries? how did they structure their site?  how did Sharepoint help the organization? etc.).

SharePoint Tutorial - Team Sites

Team sites are small web sites that are created to store everything about a particular thing. For example a site can be created for a department in an organization like human resources. I site can be created for a particular project. A site can even be created for a meeting. Everything about the thing (department, project, meeting) like documents, lists, calendars, etc. is stored in that site.

Creating Sites/Lists/List Items under Current User Context in SharePoint By Using SPUserToken

Usually we do this by performing the action under RunWithElevatedPrivileges method and updating the listitem using SPListItem.SystemUpdate() method (see here). but this approach has its own flaws like (RunWithElevatedPrivileges will run under system account, we cannot use SystemUpdate for SPSite,SPWeb,SPList, since it runs under system we will "CreatedBy" by as SystemAccount).

Intranet Users Challenged When Using Windows Integrated Security

We've setup an intranet site using Windows Integrated Security. Its up and running and users can access it. However, they are being challenged with a login dialog for the server when they initially access the site.

Isn't is possible to configure the server so that the users aren't challenged AND are recognized as being already authenticated by Windows? We're trying to go with a seamless experience, whereby all they have to do is login to their machine like normal and then go from there.

2 Web Sites

Does anyone know if it is possible to pass a Session variable from one web site, to another web site?  I am writing both.  They are located on the same server - but with different URL's... different projects...

Creating a user friendly alias for the website path

 Hello mates,

I am hosting my ASP.NET application on a Windows 2003 Server.

To browse to my application one has to type the path :http://serverName/applicationName

I want users to only type  applicationName on the web adress area.I believe there is something to do with alias and CNAME on DNS records that can adress this.

Any help on how to go about doing this will be highly appreciated.

are the "CSS Friendly Control Adapters" being used in ASP.NET 3.5 and above?

I am a long time ASP.NET developer, but have just encountered the issue of CSS vs Tables in a deep manner (so far I have just used the built-in controls or just created my own controls).

I bought a great book on this issue, but the book is reffering the ASP.NET 2.0 via VS2005.

I am using ASP.NET 3.5 and above via VS2008/2010.

My first question is: are the "CSS Friendly Control Adapters" still alive in 2010 or maybe there are a new techniques being used?

My second question is:  are the "CSS Friendly Control Adapters" being used in ASP.NET 3.5 and above via VS2008/VS2010?

I will appreciate your help and advise.

Cant find vsi file for CSS Friendly Control Adapters

Hi guys

This is driving me crazy... I cant find the .vsi file for installing the CSS Friendly Control Adapters Project. Does anyone know where I can get this?

The following link: http://www.asp.net/cssadapters/ only leads to the CodePlex wiki where I can download the dll and a partial solution. Essentially, I'm looking for the source code to implement the Menu adapter.

Any help is much appreciated!

How to install the Css Friendly Control Adapter Source Code

Hi guys really new to ASP.NET I was trying to install the CSS Friendly control adapter but for some reason the instructions on the website seems outdated. I downloaded all the files (Source Code, DLL, Browser) I believe I need to add the DLL file to my website's Bin folder and the Browser file to the APP_Browsers folder is this correct? After I place this files how to I get it working? what do I have to do?

Also if I want to create a new DLL file from the Source code how do I do these? I opened the web-site with Visual Studio 2008 and I can see all the files in the solution explorer? But how do I compile this to a DLL file? I tried doing a build solution but all I get is an .sln file???

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance
