anyone can help me?
Thank you for advance.
I created a widows service for mail schedule with c#.net and sql server 2005 and it is working fine for past one year.
now sometimes i am getting the "System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException:
Login failed for user '<UserName>'. Reason: The account is
then i restarted the windows service manually and working.
what is the problem in my sql server connection and how to fix that issue?
I have a website developed in ASP.NET created by someone else, sitting on another server... until now... a simple(ish) setup with login to update content.
The site was zipped up and I was told it would be a simple case of uploading all the files onto the new server. I've managed to upload the site and it works fine... but I can't access the editing pages as it will no longer accept the username and password when I go to login.
The host server is running ASP.NET v4 and IIS v7. Hosting is with godaddy.com so I'm also getting used to their way of doing things.
Hope someone can help.
We need to create a Contact form on the website with the fields such as 'First Name', 'Last Name', 'e-mail address', 'Message Text', etc., that a user could contact us sending questions, etc.
Then we'd contact a user to discuss the possibility to be a member (purchase a product/service). So, we don't want to provide the ability for the user to create a login and a password through the asp login control. We want to send him a temporary password and login later after we decide he/she can be a member. The user login can be the user's e-mail address.
The questions are:
i am using create user wizard and capturing other information within content template when a new user
registers. Some of the textboxes are binded to required field validators.
there is a validation control on the page and ShowMessage box is True.
If they dont complete some of the text boxes then the message box pops Up with the error message.
It does not however include information errors like "User already exists" or Email address already exists
from the create user wizard membership UserName and Password Textboxes
is it possilbe to hook all of these up so I get one message box with all errors including membership ones?
Is it possible to authenticate a user using userDN and password? If so, then tell me the syntax. So far i have tried to authenticate using username and password from my c# code using directoryentry which takes the parameters like domainname, username and password. But i need to authenticate using Userdn and password.
Any Ideas on how to fix this issue?
Visual Studio 2005, Windows 7 64bit, SQL Server 2005 Express
Cannot open database "sql2" requested by the login. The login failed.Login failed for user 'IIS APPPOOL\DefaultAppPool'.
I am using the ASP.Net password recovery control. By default the user needs to enter their username before an email gets sent out to them.
If it possible instead of entering the username, email is used instead? Alot of my users forgets their username but not email.
Currently I am storing my username and password (passwordFormat="SHA1") credientails in my web.config. I would like to figure out how to access them in an xml file that I have stored in my App_Data directory rather than the web.config file because I do not want my application restarting everytime I manually add a user (small list of 5 authorized users for the CMS section).
Here is what my web.config section looks like:
<authentication mode="Forms"> <forms name=".Administration" loginUrl="~/SiteAdmin/Default.aspx" defaultUrl="~/SiteAdmin/Administration/Default.aspx" protection="All" timeout="30" path="/" requireSSL="false" slidingExpiration="true" &n
I hope you can help me, I tried Google, but none of the solutions worked. Using VB.net and Membership, I have a login control in my master page with a remember me check box. When I check this box and login, some pages indicate that I am not logged in. If I go to another page, it will then indicate that I am still logged in. I have isolated one page that always indicates I am not logged in the first time I visit it, but if log in a second time and then go to it, it will finally recognize me as a user that is properly logged in.
Some pages that this occurs on is in the top level, some pages are in a sub folder.
