Integrating with Authorize.NET

Posted By:      Posted Date: October 04, 2010    Points: 0   Category :ASP.Net

I created a web link to https://apitest.authorize.net/soap/v1/Service.asmx and supplied code to vb but can't get a response.

Does anyone see what might be wrong?

Partial Class SOAP_Example_Default
    Inherits System.Web.UI.Page

    Protected Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click

        Dim myService As New net.authorize.apitest.Service
        Dim merchType As New net.authorize.apitest.MerchantAuthenticationType

        merchType.name = "abc"
        merchType.transactionKey = "abc"

        Dim subscr As New net.authorize.apitest.ARBSubscriptionType
        subscr.amount = 2

        Dim creditCard As New net.authorize.apitest.CreditCardType
        creditCard.cardNumber = "4111111111111111"
        creditCard.expirationDate = "2050-05"   ' required format for API is YYYY-MM

        Dim pmtSch As New net.authorize.apitest.PaymentScheduleType
        pmtSch.startDate = "2010-08-30"
        pmtSch.totalOccurrences = 9999

        Dim pmtSchInt As New net.authorize.apitest.PaymentScheduleTypeInterval
        pmtSchInt.unit = net.authorize.apitest.ARBSubscriptionUnitEnum.months
        pmtSchInt.length = 1

Integrating a Legacy Web Application in SharePoint

This month we will continue with the theme of deploying Microsoft's SharePoint as a company intranet by describing a method for integrating a legacy Web application inside a SharePoint site.

In many companies the intranet site is not just a home page with announcements. It houses Web applications used by many different departments. In last month's article, I built a page to search the employee table in Northwind (the sample database included in Microsoft's SQL Server). This month, I will move the Web pages used to add/remove records from the table into the SharePoint intranet.

Authorize It: Use Role-Based Security in Your Middle Tier .NET Apps with Authorization Manager

Authorization Manager in Windows Server 2003 represents a significant improvement in the administration of role-based security, making it more scalable, flexible, and easier to implement. Using Authorization Manager, you can define roles and the tasks those roles can perform. You can nest roles to inherit characteristics from other roles, and you can define application groups. In addition, Authorization Manager lets you use scripts to modify permissions dynamically, and it allows you to wrap your security logic in a security policy that can be stored in Active Directory. Authorization Manager also includes an easy-to-use API for running access checks. The author discusses all of these topics and demonstrates them with a working sample.

Authorize.Net ARB passing variable

The following code is Authorize.Net Sample Code provided on their website for ARB clients/merchants to use as an example.

If you notice, there is a sample (fake) credit card number, (4111111111111111), on Program.vb at "Private Sub PopulateSubscription(ByVal request As ARBCreateSubscriptionRequest).   NOTE: there are four "Sub PopulateSubscription" on Program.vb.  I am refering to the "ARBCreateSubscriptionRequest".

My objective - Pass a variable in a TextBox on Default.aspx to replace the credit card number (4111111111111111) in Sub-PopulateSubscription.

I assume this can be done, but I am not experienced enough to make it work properly.

Let me be clear....I don't expect anyone to show me how to code a program to communicate with Authorize.Net, because from reading other posts, many people don't want to offer any help regarding Authorize.Net because they haven't worked with it before.  What I am asking, is for someone to show me how to Pass a variable from a Form to a Class, in a way that will work given the Sample code I have provided.

I hope someone can help.  Should be just a walk in the park for some of you.

Form Integration With Authorize.Net

I'm trying to do the integration, i have designed my form already :<%@ Page Language="VB" AutoEventWireup="false" CodeFile="Default.aspx.vb" Inherits="_Default" %> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head runat="server"> <title></title> </head> <body> <span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: separate; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: 'Times New Roman'; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: auto; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 0px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: none; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; font-size: medium; "> <span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(111, 120, 136); font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; "> <table align="center" border="0" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="0"

Integrating Yahoo Messenger Archives into Sharepoint

We're using Sharepoint 2010 and everyone currently has Yahoo Messenger with Messenger Archives enabled. Is there any way of connecting to the yahoo network and storing all those conversations centrally and integrating this into sharepoint? We eventually want to make a customer portal where one webpart will show all the conversations with a particular customer. I'm happy to switch to any Instant Messenging program (Office Communicator looks hopeful) but all our customers are on the Yahoo Network so that is a must. Ideally I'd prefer to do as much as possible out-of-the-box. Thanks Programs I have researched: Office Communicator 2007 -> I know it stores the conversation history in Outlook and so I'm assuming exchange server. Is there any mileage here? Trillian Astra -> It stores its archives in XML files on the user's machine. I don't know if that is an angle a developer could take?

Integrating the Office Communication Server Archiving Server with a sharepoint dashboard?

Is this possible? I'd like all our communications (which are currently through the yahoo network) to be logged in a central archiving server. This I understand is OOB. I'd then like these archives to be accessible through a share point page. I want to build a CRM dashboard such that when a company is selected it will show all the correspondence on one page with any employee with that company automatically. I'll ask on the sharepoint forums too. Thanks Jamie

integrating ASP/SQL into sharepoint driven websites?

my client has a website driven by Sharepoint CMS, and I'd like to create a SQL server database to dynamically populate some of these pages. Will the Sharepoint platform allow me to do this? Is there a resource somewhere on the topic???

Integrating CSS with Reporting Services Reports?

Is it possible to deliver a reporting services report (built against an OLAP cube that was built off of a Dynamics AX 2009 database) using a web front end that will care about cascading style sheets? Our customers have individual web portals with their own look and feel and we want to emulate that with our OLAP reporting as well, which will be delivered through these same portals. I want to make the reports look and feel like the rest of the website, i.e., color schemes, company logo images, and other artifact like buttons so everything looks tightly integrated. The plan is to pass a URL to logo images and use an expression to resolve header logos. I’d like to do something similar with cascading style sheets to drive the report’s color scheme. Is that possible? These reports will never be accessed through the Report Manager, only by our web front end, so I’m not bound by reporting services internal style sheets (or am I?) I ran a sample report and viewed the source and it looks like a style tag is generated within the report HTML. Can I leverage that somehow perhaps?

Integrating product based e-commerce website with webservice API ?

I developed an e-commerce product based website on which i developed all the features like for products, shopping cart etc.

Till now it works in a standard way, in which from admin section, store owner adds product categories, and products with prices etc.

Now there is a kind of product category which is empty right now (no products in this category right now) -There will be 1000s of products in this category in future.

and the manufacturer of this particular product(s) are providing web services API, so it is possible to add web services API to this e-commerce website to that for that particular category, website gets all the information from the manufacturer's website along with all the product information and prices etc. ?

How to accopmlish this  ? as i don't have any experience with implementing web services on any website ?
