In "Edit My profile" under my profile, there is a section called "Activities I am following:" under Newsfeed Settings, I want to remove either this section or some items in that activities list. But for some reason, "Activities I am following:" is
not found in the properties list, how I can remove it? Please advice.
Thanks in advance.
In trying to install the 2010 Switched On Schoolhouse Home Edition it tries to install the SQL server then comes up with error message that it fails.
Tech support walked me through trying to delete all the SQL titles manually and I came to the last and only application of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 with a log file "80" that will NOT delete.
The IT told me it was corrupt in the registry.
Is there ANY way to delete this??? The new installation has a newer version but I think it is the same one.
I successfully managed to synchronize the active directory with Sharepoint 2010. Unfortunately, the farm I was on has different FQDN /Netbios domain names. So all ~1000 user profiles are now imported with the wrong domain, and the subsequent
errors one would expect.
Is there a way to get back to a blank slate? technet has an article on "resetting" profile synchronization (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff681014.aspx), but that requires being able to verify the GUID of the user profile synchronization
database, which I am also unaware of how to do.
Please help, and thank you in advance.
Using tutorials and some examples of handling membership permission on our site, i have a page that was built using examples found in those pages.. Anyway, now that it is all setup and working ran into first issue.. If a role is setup with a space in the name like this ("Read Only") then you get an error when you try to add someone to that role. But if i change it to be ("ReadOnly") it works fine and no issues..
<asp:GridView ID="GridViewRole" runat="server" AutoGenerateColumns="False" DataSourceID="ObjectDataSourceRoleObject"
DataKeyNames="RoleName" CellPadding="3" CellSpacing="3" AllowPaging="True">
<asp:CommandField ShowDeleteButton="True" DeleteText="Delete Role" />
<asp:Button ID="Button1" runat="server" CausesValidation="false" Width="500px" OnClick="ToggleInRole_Click"
Text='<%# ShowInRoleStatus( (string
I've got an old ASP.NET 2.0 app, which I added the AJAX Toolkit to, later in development. When I did that I had to include the System.Web.Extensions.dll in the bin folder of the ASP.NET app, in order for it to work. Naturally I then included a reference to that assembly DLL into the project, and pointed to it for each page I used it in.
Now I want to upgrade the app to VS 2008. When I did it looks to me as though it added another reference to System.Web.Extensions from the GAC. Now VS 2008 is confused and wants me to remove one of them. The question is, which one do I remove?
I have MS Accounting Professional 2009 installed on Windows Small Business Server 2008 with the accounting database in SQL Server 2005
I can access the database on the server using my client installation of MS Accounting and use it as expected
When I add another user I am unable to restrict the access rights of that user by selecting a role for them and restricting their access by denying them access to certain areas or providing read-only access to certain areas
What happens when we select a user and select a role and un-tick the Administrator rights box and click ok is that the user rights are not saved without administrator rights. When the user's rights are opened again, the Administrator box has a tick
in it again.
The sequence of events is exactly as described - untick the Administrator box, click ok, then select the user in the "Manage Users" list again, click "Edit" and there's a tick in the "Administrator" box.
In every other respect, MS Accounting appears to work ok, i.e. no error messages, no crashes.
We believe that we should be able to work around this issue by manually setting user access rights directly in the SQL database, but so far we have not been able to do that.
Has anyone ever experienced anything like this, can anyone provide any help or suggestions?
