Currently, I'm developing a data entry screen for my company. I tried using a DataGrid but I'm thinking that the ListView might give me a little more power. My object collection may or may not come into the original form partially filled out
for the data entry clerk, and I want to be able to just have the user tab through the grid (to create new rows or to just switch to the next column/row in the collection).
For data valudation, I have the requirement to validate each row in of itself AND to valudate the row against the the other entries in the collection (To enforce business rules of "duplicates"). I'd also like to possibly pass back "warnings" as well.
Let me touch on the requirements for rows with errors, I'd like them to pulse with either a red "ring" around the row or the background color turn red. Also, when validating against the whole collection, I'd like all the "duplicates" to throb red as
I just started on WPF Friday and have already learned so much, but I don't if I'm using the best control for the job (At least thanks to the Family.Show example, I got the view to be editable!)
All help is greatly appreciated.
