I have developed InfoPath 2010 web form with People Picker Control. I want to set sharepoint group which would be used in People Picker Control to search people. Ok, I set sharpoint site url and aftet that - select sharepoint group 'Test InfoPath
group' I need. Everything works fine - I can select only people inside sharepoint group 'Test InfoPath group'.
Now I deploy my solutions (wsp package) on different site collection and sharepoint server installations. In this case People Picker Control can't find right sharepoint group 'Test InfoPath group'. Sometimes People Picker Control select another
group, not that I have select in InfoPath Designer and sometimes People Picker Control select all users.
What's wrong with it and can I configure People Picker Control to select sharepoint group?
I want to modify people picker functionality , and need to write my own custom code to search the users.
Please let me know the different ways to achive this functionality.
I am using default people picker controll to search the users while adding it to sharepoint.
for me it is showing Two records with domains (we have two domains)
It is working file and showing correct results.
But my clients are accessing the same site and searching for the same user showing 6 records,
Some unwanted profiles are showing it in the results.
Where i need to remove those profiles/ how to resolve this issue.
I am using a people picker control in a custom visual web part with Visual Studio 2010, Sharepoint 2010.
The people picker control is on an asp.net wizard control.
On the wizard step with the people picker control, after postback the people picker control has selected values.
But when clicking the next or previous buttons of the wizard control, the people picker control does not retain its selected values.
pe.AllowTypeIn = true;
pe.AutoPostBack = true;
pe.AllowEmpty = true;
pe.MultiSelect = false;
pe.SharePointGroup = "My SP Group Name";
pe.SelectionSet = "SPGroup";
pe.ValidatorEnabled = true;
pe.CommaSeparatedAccounts = pe.CommaSeparatedAccounts;
I have my people picker to pull values from my AD as well as my SQL form authentication database. HOWEVER.. if i delete or add a user its A. not reflecting the new user right away and B. it is showing old deleted users. Is there a way to "Clear the
cache"? or remove these old users from showing up?
Thanks in advance.
We have been having this issue across all SharePoint Sites in our organization from around a week. The People picker (people search control) control that gets the data from the available user profiles is taking forever to finish. It used to work with first
few letters of the person's name but now it is not returning any data for first few letters, it is giving result back only if I type the full name of the person and that too is taking more than 5min to return. How can I fix this issue? All users are getting
frustrated as this is most commonly used control in all lists, doc libraries etc.,
In my infopath form.These are controls included.
Username (text field)
People picker field.
I used conditional formatting to hide the section for specific users according to user name field.
It is working....but when I pick an user from people picker,section will hide even any user.people picker not related to user name field......how can I solve this problem?
I'm working in a virtual enrovonment with the following virtual machines
Server 2008 R2 - DC
Server 2008 R2 - Sharepoint Foundation / SQLE
My goal is to work/play with SPF in order to understand its potential use for some of my clients, however I cannot get SPF to recognize any of my domain users in order to grant them access to the Sharepoint site. SPF complete install, new farm, new
SQL database etc... I got the hotfixes which did not address my issue. Everything that I have read about this makes it sound like my SPF should easily pick domain users from AD with ease, and that makes this even more frustrating.
Thank in advance.
I have a sharepoint people picker in my page layout.I want to restrict its search to only user profiles and no ad directory or site collection groups for users.It should be applied to particular this people picker.
I searched over the internet and I saw that using stsadm command you can restrict user but it will apply to all of them.I want to be applied to only one people picker.
