We have a product on sharepoint 2010 whose major feature is with the reporting services, we are checking to see if our product can be deployed in a minimum environment of sharepoint 2010 foundation.
we have a minimal test environment with the following :
windows server 2008 R2
SQL Server Express Advanced
Reporting services configured in Native Mode
Sharepoint 2010 Foundation.
I would like to know if we can enable report viewer webpart on sharepoint foundation 2010 with the reporting services in native mode. our plan is that even if the reporting services are not in sharepoint integrated mode, we are thinking of using web services
to get XML data and using the XML data in report builder 3.0 to generate reports? will the idea work in this environment? if so can anyone let us know how to get the report viewer web parts in this environment?
Thanks for any help,
I have a SSRS Customized Report (.RDL). I have a web part with association on one of the report. When I try visit the page I am prompted for credenatial.
My Data Source Properties are as per below
Use this user and Password
user name: domain\myadminuser
Selected: use as win auth
How Can I get rid of prompt?
I want to create an SSRS report that displays all the steps in an executing workflow along with its current stage.
SharePoint 2010 webpart shows the current state of the executing workflow but I want to display all the steps including ones that have been completed and ones that are still to come.
I have created a report in SSRS and this report is integrated within a dashboard created using performance point services in sharepoint 2010.
The report is a simple tabular report with 5 coulmns and interactive sorting is enabled on each of them.
Sorting works when the report is viewed separately but gives "Report Server Error" when I try to sort (on any column) inside the dashboard.
I have user IP instead of host name in the report server url.
I have created a simple report with BIDS and have deployed to my SSRS server. Works fine... when I use the Report Viewer/Explorer webparts it works fine only on my PC. Really only displays on my computer. When others access the page the webpart does not
load... it states "Navigation to the webpage has been cancelled." I have added all necessary permission to the report. the report displays if users access it directly from the report server, just not when viewing from the Sharepoint site. I even
logged into another computer with my domain credentials and it did not work only on my computer that i used to create/deploy the report with BIDS...
any help would be great I'm stumped....
I downloaded report viewer 2010 from here
Now I want to actually use it in a website. How do I do that? Do I have to modify some part of web.config? Specifically, what do I need to change?
I upgraded our enterprise sql server 2008 to sql server 2008 r2 last weekend. Along with this i installed the report builder 3.0 on the servers as well and the updated ssrs add in for sharepoint. The upgrade went fine, no errors that i could
find. The problem is now when i go to a library that has the report builder content type enabled and click report builder report under new it does not load report builder 3.0.
I updated the custom report builder url in central administration from /_vti_bin/ReportBuilder/ReportBuilder_2_0_0_0.application to /_vti_bin/ReportBuilder/ReportBuilder_3_0_0_0.application
however when i do click the new report builder report it kicks me over to
http://company.com/ReportServer_MossEnt which itemizes out each individual sharepoint site in the farm.
Is the integration of ssrs 2008 r2, sharepoint 2007 and report builder 3.0 work? did i install the wrong version of the report builder add in? The above is the only problem i am having now.
all servers are server 2008, 64 bit and moss 2007 enterprise with sp2 & april 2010 cu
I am running the report from SSRS report server in the view i am finding that the window title is Report Viewer - Windows Internet Explorer.
How to remove this name and get the name of the report over there.
I am using java at the back end to call the repot through url.
Please help me .
