SQL Server Management Studio cannot locate my database

I had to uninstall SQL Server 08 when I left my last project, I have reinstalled the management studio but it no longer recognizes the databases that are on my local machine.  How can I reconcile the connection to the preexisting databases?  When I choose connect, nothing comes up in the options and when i type in the database name it errors out.  I thought it was just that the old files were corrupt but I installed a brand new database and while i can verify that it exists on my machine, I cannot connect through Management Studio.

Reset ASP.NET Password or Can you locate the current password?

OK, been around in Windows world since Windows 3.0 BUT never really had to work with any ASP.NET until this year. I currently need to find the current password for ASP.NET (the local one on the server) OR detailed directions in reseting the password on this account. I've heard horror stories about resetting this password and can't seem to find a way to recover the password so I don't have to reset it. Can anyone help?????

Stop the Rectangles touching the Ellipse - tricky question?

I have a Canvas; in that Canvas I have an Ellipse. Outside the Ellipse (but within the Canvas) I have 4 small Rectangles.

With the help of Marcelo Lopez Ruiz excellent demo (http://blogs.msdn.com/b/marcelolr/archive/2006/03/02/542641.aspx) I am able to drag & drop the squares.

However I want to be able to block the Rectangles overlapping the Ellipse at any point.

I have been using the VisualTreeHelper to do this but have two problems. (See sample code)

Blinking ellipse over an image in WPF

Hi everyone,

I'm new to WPF. Well i need to draw an ellipse over an image based on its X,Y values(on image mouse move). Somehow i have managed to draw ellipse using DrawGeometry() over the image. Now i have to animate that ellipse(like blinking or LED kind of). I'm not able to do that. I have created animated ellipse(storyboard) using Blend but i dont know how to use that on this scenario. Please some body help me. I don't have much time to wait. Because in few days i have to deliver this project. Here i have attached the code below. Please let me know if any changes has to be done on this code. For time being i'm using timer for animation. But this is not a good approach. Thanks.

BitmapImage bmImage = new BitmapImage(new Uri(currentImagePath));
                DrawingVisual drawingVisual = new DrawingVisual();
                DrawingContext drawingContext = drawingVisual.RenderOpen();
                drawingContext.DrawImage(img.Source, new Rect(0, 0, bmImage.Width, bmImage.Height));
                SolidColorBrush myBrush = new SolidC

Error message "Could not locate the security token referenced by key info" with WCF custom client (V

I’m trying to develop a custom client, a console application, to connect it with a Web Service (Java Web Service) and call publics web methods with Visual Studio 2008 (.Net Framework 3.5) and WCF, but I’m getting an error message (“Could not locate the security token referenced by key info”).

I’m employing two certificates, a server certificate and a client certificate, because I have to sign and encrypt the message that I send to the Web Service. Both certificates are correctly installed in my certificate repository. In my client Web Service generated with “svcutil” tool, I’m added this line to sing and encrypt the message:

Could not locate entry in sysdatabases for database

I had SQL Server 2005 on my pc and had created a few databases through it. Due to some problem, I had to reinstall it but now when i give the command "create database mydb" it says

"Cannot create file 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\DATA\myDb.mdf' because it already exists. Change the file path or the file name, and retry the operation."

And when i give "use mydb" command it says

Could not locate entry in sysdatabases for database 'mydb'. No entry found with that name. Make sure that the name is entered correctly.

What should I do so that it can locate my databases?
