ewa refresh succeeds, but fails with multiple concurrent requests

Posted By:      Posted Date: October 03, 2010    Points: 0   Category :SharePoint

we have about 30 excel web access web parts spread across 6 pages.  they all connect to ssas using windows authentication, and they all work fine.

we have a user that wants to set his browser to open the 6 pages on 6 tabs as his "home" tab arrangement.  so when he launches his browser, all 6 pages open simultaneously.  all of the ewa web parts give the error:

"An error has occurred trying to perform the requested action. Please try again."

when i check the logs, i don't see any exceptions.  i just see the messages below. i have set the "maximum concurrent queries per session" for the trusted file location to 1000.  i've tried changing various other settings in the excel services config.  i have no idea what else to try based on this information:

Best approach to handle concurrent requests in winforms

I have a windows client application which would be used many users. This application submit requests to run a workflow (note that this is not a WWF or WCF service, its a class library thats gonna do some processing). What would be the best approach to code this? Would processing each request on a separate thread be a correct way? I am a newbie at this. PLease help. Thanks!

SQLCE 3.5 connection from multiple application, data refresh

I have a native application (wm 6.5) using oledb to connect to a database. *******************************************************************************   result=CoCreateInstance(CLSID_SQLSERVERCE_3_5,0,CLSCTX_INPROC_SERVER,IID_IDBInitialize, (void**)&database);   ... // set properties  database->Initialize(); ******************************************************************************* This part of the app simply queries a single table for all records (query wrapped in a transaction of it own). I believe it is recommended that you keep a single connection for as long as possible, and therefore just create a new session each time I query the table. There is a second application (c#) which my application executes and then waits for. It updates and inserts new records. when the c# app closes and I get control back, my app then runs another query to see if anything has changed. My issue is that, the only way I can get the updated data is to un-initialize and re-initialize the database (IDBInitialize) interface created above.  Is there some properties I should be setting on the session/database in order for this to work. Or do I really have to spawn a new connection for every query?   Thanks in advance. Dylan

SqlWorkflowInstanceStore fails when you have multiple cores

Hello!I have a quite simple program, it basically creates workflows and resume one bookmark in each. When I'm not using an SqlWorkflowInstanceStore, the program works fine no matter if my operating system uses 1, 2 or 4 cores. If I use SqlWorkflowInstanceStore the program seems to work correct if my operating system uses only one core. If I use 2 or 4 cores the program always fails after a number of iterations. It looks like the larger the number of cores the sooner the program fails. The above mentioned result happens deterministically. The only things which differ is how many concrete iterations it takes until the multi-core attempts will fail.To me this looks like a typical situation where mutual dependencies in true parallelism have not been programmed correctly, perhaps in situations where quasi-parallelism do not bring the problem. Will this be fixed in .Net Framework 4.0 RC and above?Best regards,Henrik DahlDocumentation, as I've switched on tracking in the app.config file: System.Runtime Error: 57396 : 57396Throwing an exception. Sending multiple HTTP requests asynchronously using .NET

Is it possible to send multiple HTTP requests asynchronously to an ASP.NET web site or any other web server using .NET ? And, then. collect responses from those requests as they come using .NET asynchronous paradigm ? Is it possible ? Or would there still be limit of max 2 HTTP connections from .NET using HTTP ?

Thanks in advance and regards

Multiple Concurrent SQL Snapshot Capability

Is there a tool that allows one to concurrently suspend/unsuspend the writes to multiple SQL instances with hundreds

of databases in each sql instance? In different words, how does one, at the same time, suspend/unsuspend the writes to hundreds of

databases living in multiple sql instances?

SSIS package fails in agent job (but actually succeeds)

SQL Server 2008 SSIS 32-bit using Oracle 11g 32 bit client to connect to Oracle 10gR2

The job actually runs and populates the destination tables correctly, but for some reason the agent reports the job as failing.  there is only one step (the SSIS package itself).

The package execution returned DTSER_SUCCESS (0).  The return value was unknown.  The process exit code was -1073741819.  The step failed.

There are many other packages that are built more or less the same that do not throw an error but for some reason this one does.

I know this isnt a lot of information - mostly hoping for tips on what steps I can take to narrow in on the problem.

I've run the package directly from Integration Services on the server as well as from BIDS on my desktop and it succeeds.

Upload Multiple Documents to Asset Library fails for files >100 MB

The upload of large files > 100 MB fails with the "Upload Multiple Documents / Drag & Drop"-Feature, where it is no problem to upload the failed files as single file via Upload Document - "Browse..." with filesize up to 2GB.

Any workaround or configuration tricks known?

multiple web service requests to an SSL secured service (HTTP CONNECT)

I'm working on an app which makes multiple SSL requests to a web service. The service has the certificate, there are no client certificates in use. If I look at the messages in Fiddler, it looks like there is an HTTP CONNECT for every request, which gets the servers public key and then makes the actual SSL request.

Do I need to do something in the client proxy code to cache the servers certificate to avoid the HTTP CONNECT call every time?

Thanks, casey

Multiple database support with Entity Framework

One of the features introduced in Entity Framework is being database independent. Which mean each database provider can support Entity Framework by implementing its provider.

This feature allows you build applications independent from the underplaying database provider. In this post I'm going to show how to build an application that support multiple databases using same conceptual model made by Entity Framework.

Binding the multiple drop down boxes in GridView using JQuery in ASP.NET

Here is the code for binding the multiple drop down boxes in GridView using JQuery in ASP.NET

Upload Multiple File using JQuery in asp.net

In this article I have explained how to upload multiple files using file upload control. I have used jQuery plugin for uploading multiple files.

I have also explained how to check for file type, file maximum size limit using jQuery & also using server side validation code.

Adding Multiple Columns and Rows in GridView without using a Database

This article describes on how to add multiple columns and rows in GridView without using a database. Basically the GridView will be populated with data based on the values entered in each TextBoxes on Button Click and retain the GridView data on post back.

GridView Multiple Filter AJAX Control

This AJAX control enables the user to filter data within any column inside a GridView. The user can add multiple filters and can delete existing ones too.

Multiple Column Dropdownlist for the ASP.NET DataGrid

Based on my previous control "Multiple Column DropDownList for ASP.NET", I received many emails asking for the same control to be used in the DataGrid for web applications. Here we go.. This control can be used as the regular MS DropDownList in the DataGrid and also as a regular dropdownlist. It has all the properties, like DataTextField, DataValueField, DataSource, SelectedIndex etc. The download file contains the samples both in VB.NET and C#. In this sample, I have used the Northwind database of SQL Server.
