I have created a basic horizontal menu in MVWD 2010 which works when I debug it on my own machine. But as soon as I upload to a ASP.net 3.5 sever online, the dynamic aspect doesnt work. Are there some major differences in frameowrk 3.5 to 4?
IE7. The dropdown menus do not drop down.
Has anybody worked through a similar experience?
In my project i have tab navigations (like 4 tabs in a page) when i click on the tab i will get that corresponding tab fields.

I am integrating (web) html files in my WPF application using Frame (say Source=http://www.microsoft.com)
I set the JournalOwnership="OwnsJournal" and
The navigation UI is visibleÃÂ and disabled initially when the page loads up (which is fine), but whenÃÂ I click on links the Back/Forward button is not enabled.ÃÂ ÃÂ Interestingly the context menu shows Back/Forward and I can navigate that way. Do you have pointers?
Thanks for your help.
I have role assignments on both the first and second level of my menus within my sitemap file. The first level works fine, and I only see items assigned to my role.
But roles assignments seem to have no effect on the second level. It seems like if you have access to the first level, you have access to everything on the second level.
Is this correct?
From my sitemap (either a SalesRep or an Administrator can see everything underneath):
<siteMapNode title="Administration" roles="SalesRep,Administrator" description="Admin" >
<siteMapNode title="CompanyMaintenance" roles="SalesRep" url="~/Admin/CompanyManagement.aspx" />
<siteMapNode title="Initialize Roles" roles="Administrator" url="~/Admin/Roles.aspx"/>
I have a scenario I'm not sure how to handle, and am hoping someone can point me to an example or best practice.
This is for an application where you can fill out screens in order, or jump around. My site.master has a ContentPlaceholder for Navigation, and one for the main content. The content pages each RenderPartial a user control that has PREVIOUS and NEXT buttons, which post back to the controller, which saves (or returns to the same View if !ModelState.IsValid), checks which button was clicked, and navigates. That part works just fine.
I also want a list of screens in my Navigation pane that are also links. In fact, as links (or ActionLinks), they work fine, but my problem is that they don't give the current controller an opportunity to save the data.
How do I get links in a separate ContentPlaceHolder to trigger an action on the current controller? (Note that each controller has an Index, Create, Edit, and Delete, and the action, once fired, will have to determine whether there's anything to save. But I think I can handle that part.)
Navigation:- Buildings (index, create, edit, delete)- Vehicles (index, create, edit, delete)- Equipment (index, create, edit, delete)- Contractors (index, create, edit, dele
