How to prevent status aborted - status should be 200 OK instead Aborted

Posted By:      Posted Date: October 03, 2010    Points: 0   Category :ASP.Net

Hello dear programmers . i am developing an online mmorpg game . so speed is very important . i have a complex map system which is coded by me . at this map system for walking i am using ajax .

using iis 7.5 and netframework 3.5 .

at this page you can use w,a,s,d or keyboard arrow keys for walking

http://www.pokemoncraft.com/gamepage.aspx     ( username : test1234 , password : test1234 )

as you can see at image below when a player pushes the movement buttons faster ( without waiting to move completed ) status being aborted so it really prevents walking faster

i want to prevent this is from happening ( disable buttons to be pushed so fast until post event completed )

these values obtained with firefox - firebug

here what happens when you push keyword buttons for moving

as you can also see i have disabled lines

i was using them before but since i can not prevent this aborted status i disabled them because it was causing mess

i appreciate any help thank

How to prevent thread form being stopped/aborted?

I'm not sure if it's a CLR related issue but at the same time i can't say it isn't. The problem is as follows: I have created a windows forms user control that spawns a thread(running a form). The thread is not a background thread and it's not supposed to exit until the form gets closed. It works as desired when the control is hosted in a windows forms application. The problem starts when i want to host it inside a html page. All works fine as long as the page containing the control is opened. Things get a bit weird when i redirect or close the tab(not the window; more tabs are opened). Exactly 1 minute from this moment the thread gets aborted. public partial class IEControl : UserControl { public IEControl() { InitializeComponent(); } private System.Threading.Thread t; private MainForm mf; private void IEControl_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { GoThread(); } public void GoThread() { try { t = new System.Threading.Thread(RunForm); t.IsBackground = false; t.Start(); } catch (Exception ex) { MessageBox.Show(ex.Message); } } private void RunForm() { mf = new MainForm(); Application.Run(mf); GC.KeepAlive(mf); GC.KeepAlive(this); } } I'm a bit confused at this point. Where could I get any information on this topic if it's not a CLR/GC related issue.

Now I want a report which will specify the list of the emails sent with the email status details like queued ,sent, delivered, failed.

I can fetch the emails that are sent by querying the like following

and SP.Name ='ReminderProfile'

The problem is only getting a perfect status of email whether it is delived or failed. How I can get those status ?

How to make the Workflow Status remain "In Progress" when a task is "Rejected"

Hi Sir/Mam,

I have a work flow running on a list, when a task is Rejected at a stage then the Workflow status is set to "Completed". Instead of this I want the Status to remain as "In Progress", so that in future after the modification of the document the Approver may Approve it and then take it to the next stages. This is not possible if the Workflow is set to "Completed".

Can you please suggest an easy way to do this

Thanks in Advance

Change the Workflow Status through code

HI Folks,

I have a scenario where i need to develop a 6 stage approval workflow(sequential) using WWF and depoly it to sharepoint. Everythigns fine till here.

Now we look ahead to change the Status field on the documents library which actually has the Workflow Name as the column name and its value being In Progress, depending on the stage of approval. Like(Approved 1, Approved 2, Approved 3.)

And if rejected the status should be rejected than Completed. Any idea how can we update this column of the List item.

I have tried item[workflowProperties.Workflow.ParentAssociation.Name]="Approved 1";

But this throws an error saying input string is not in a correct format.

Any information would be of great help :)

Anonymous Web Site receives "The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized"

I set up a test website on my local box and was able to access sharepoint search using the querySearch web service from SP.  After I got it all working properly I transferred the code to the target website that is set up with anonymous access for all people on the fab floor.  However from this website I keep getting the 401 error.  It can't be SP because the same code worked from my local website "localhost".  Any suggestions?  we don't want to have to have the fab people log in so we can't not have the box anonymous.  I would appreciate any suggestions very much!!!

Status "Installing" keeps stuck

Hi All..

I have a problem about status that is stucked.. I've read many forums that related to my problem, but still can't solved it yet :(

Here is my problem...

After 3 months I keep on uploading, removing, and uploading form, I have no problem.. Until today, when I want to upload my form, the status keeps on "Installing", instead of "Ready".
Then I removed my form using Timer Job Definitions, and I delete form.wsp. It works.
Afterwards, I try to upload form again, I have the same problem with stuck status. And then I delete again using same way.
I've tried more than 10 times, and the result still the same one.

Things that I've tried are:
- Reset IIS.
- Reset Application Pool.
- Check the services (e.g: Windows Sharepoint Services Administration, Search, Timer, Tracing) -- all are already started.
- Use "stsadm -o execadmsvcjobs"
- Reset Infopath Form ID
- Publish and change Infopath Form Name
- Command "net start SPTimerV3" and "net start SPAdmin"

Tried all things above, but still can't work. Status is still stuck.

Then, I try to upload other forms, but still have the same problem.

Please help me. I'm stuck already... :((

Is there anything I can do again?

SSIS Text was truncated with status value 4

I am developing a SSIS package, trying to update an existing SQL table from a CSV flat file. All of the columns are successfully updating except for one column. If I ignore this column on truncate, my package completes successfully. So I know this is a truncate problem and not error. This column is empty for almost every row. However, there are a few rows where this field is 200-300 characters. My data conversion task identified this field as a DT_WSTR, but from what I've read elsewhere maybe this should be DT_NTEXT. I've tried both and I even set the DT_WSTR to 500. But none of this fixed my problem. How can I fix? What data type should this column be in my SQL table? Error: 0xC02020A1 at Data Flow Task 1, Source - Berkeley812_csv [1]: Data conversion failed. The data conversion for column "Reason for Delay in Transition" returned status value 4 and status text "Text was truncated or one or more characters had no match in the target code page.". Error: 0xC020902A at Data Flow Task 1, Source - Berkeley812_csv [1]: The "output column "Reason for Delay in Transition" (110)" failed because truncation occurred, and the truncation row disposition on "output column "Reason for Delay in Transition" (110)" specifies failure on truncation. Determining the status os the Batch job that process SSAS Cubes

Hi All, I have a cube and that is processed through a batch job. The problem I am facing is there are many packages which are calling this Batch job to process the cube. Is there a way to determine the state of the job before the packages call this batch job to process the cube. And in which database can I find all the information about the jobs on the server. Thanks for your help. Vineeshvineesh1701

The subscription status of the object could not be changed

Good day to all.. I have a problem. There are two sql servers with transactional replication Microsoft SQL Server 2008 (SP1) - 10.0.2531.0 (X64) Mar 29 2009 10:11:52 Copyright (c) 1988-2008 Microsoft Corporation Enterprise Edition (64-bit) on Windows NT 5.2 <X64> (Build 3790: Service Pack 2) There was a table function without parameters, included in articles of publication. Then I had to change it with adding one parameter. I've changed it via alter function on the publisher. And then replication stopped with error message about invalid argument count in this function. I've decided to reinitialise subscribtion with new snapshot, but new snapshot can't be created ("The subscription status of the object could not be changed"). Then I've decided to drop this subscription and recreate it, but I can't drop it (same error - "The subscription status of the object could not be changed").. Dropping publication also was unsuccesfull. How I can repair replication now?

SQL Server VSS Writer "Status"

Hello, I have an HP Server running Win 2008 R2 Ent. X64 SP2 with Hyper-V and been having issues with Windows Server Backup. My original post can viewed here http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winserverhyperv/thread/6a20c2e9-499e-4ae3-9c21-f6a6971d9e5f/#676611f6-1d1f-4c1c-84f8-84f6bae9187b I have read a lot of forums and article and done windows update, but could not get the Windows Server Backup to work manually or on scheduled time. The above link shows the list of errors when the backup runs. When I opened the Service list I noticed that SQL Server VSS Writer had a status of "Starting" and startup type "Automatic". When I stopped the service I managed to get the backup to work manually and on it scheduled time. Should this service be stopped and set to automatic or should be started and automatic? Thanks..

Send alerts based on approval status

Hello, I have a list of posts on blog site and set alerts on this list. The problem is that every time I post a new blog entry an alert is sent to the users despite the approval status of this post. So every edit attempt causes a new alert. The users does have only read permission set on this Post list. Is it possible to configure the alerts so the alert is being sent only when the post status is set to approved? BR, Tomek
