Boilerplate text on back of Purchase Order form

Posted By:      Posted Date: October 03, 2010    Points: 0   Category :Sql Server

Can anyone suggest a way I can automaticaly print boilerplate disclaimer text on the back of a Purchase Order form?  The form has a header (with account number and address info and the like) and footer (signature line and bill-to address) which must appear on the front of each page; a single PO can span multiple pages.  I tried playing with embedding text and/or line breaks in the footer (which cause the footer not to print at all), and to turn off the header/footer for the last page (they don't print, but SSRS leaves a blank space where the header and footer would be if they were visible; the resultant body is too small to fit all the boilerplate text).

I'm working in SSRS 2005; perhaps there a way to do this in 2008?

Sorry if this has already been asked and answered; I couldn't find anything searching the forum.

How to read a column of a sharepoint list to a text string field of infopath form?

My infopath form used to read these email addresses from a web service and web.config file. Now i would like to get these user email addresses from a contact list in a sharepoint server. I am trying to do this without writing any codes. Here is what i have done so far: 1. Adding a new "data connection to receive data from SharePoint library or List" where i selected Email Address column of the contact list. 2. I added a new Text Field and define a new rule with "Query using a data connection" defined above. When i try to access the newly created Text field above it always return empty as if the Query attached to it did not executed at all. What did i do wrong? Is there a better way? Thank you in advance for your help.

Web Form breaks after using the browser's back button

I have a web form that allows a user to put some data in a textbox and click a button to do a search on that data.  It opens up a Sql Server Reporting Services report using the data they entered on the previous page.  If they use the browser's back button to go back and enter some different criteria to search on, the buttons don't work anymore. Any ideas or suggestions on what would cause this?   Thanks!

Print Form View and expanding text fields?

The form i'm editing has a small text field with a scroll bar that users enter quite a bit of data.  I'm wondering how to create a print view for the form that will expand that field to match the size of the content text. Does that make sense?

Can't paste text into an Infopath form and see it with print preview

I have a user who says that they can't view any of their text that they cut and paste into the fields of a form when they choose Print Preview, in the forms library.  They're using IE8 to access the SharePoint site. When I access the same form in the same library from any browser from my computer, I can view pasted text in any field when I click Print Preview. Anyone see this before and can help me?? Thanks!

.mdb and C# form question for a Rich Text Box

Ok heres my question. I have a program that i am writing that uses a .mdb database file. All the fields are set to Memo in the database for the size. My problem is i have a Rich Text Box that is used to gather info before it gets saved to the .mdb file. I narrowed it down to a maximum size problem with the RTB. Is there any way to increase the maximum data size of the RTB so that saving more then 3 sentences won't crash the program and will actually save the 3 sentences +. ?  Or is there some trick to get around that that i am not getting at the moment? So to restate my problem. I can't save anything over roughly 3 sentences from my C# form to a .mdb file without the program kicking out an exception, And the .mdb fields are already set to Memo. Thanks for any help/input in advance. This has been bugging me for a while and i haven't found anything online yet but i will keep searching.

Infopath browser form - odd behaviour on auto expanding multi line text boxes

I have a browser form with a multi line text box. The height is set to be AUTO. Within the client all is fine. When opened as an administrator approved form the text box automatically adds a new line for every 20 characters you type.

So if you type 40 characters without pressing enter you get 2 blank lines appear under you text that you CANNOT remove.

I have tested this on a new form with various multi line text boxes. The width setting is unimportant, the spell check setting is unimportant.

If i fix the height then the issue goes away but this is not any good.

I cannot use rich text boxes as i have around 40 text boxes on the form and if they are rich text they take around 10 minutes to load in the browser (this is another issue i have)

Thanks in advance

Form insde a TabPanel and Tab order

I have a form I'm trying to insert inside a TabPanel. It's actually code PayPal gave me to insert a buynow button. The problem is that the form tags are causing my tabs to either have extra space on the bottom or top (depending on the tab) in IE. Firefox the problems do not happen and everythind displays correctly. Any idea how I can fix this in IE. It seams as if  IE is leaving part of the other tab visible if I have form tags in the TabPanel.

How should an SQL statement refer to a Text field value on a Windows Form Application?

In a WindowsFormApplication, I have a form that contains an MS Office Spreadsheet (an Office Web component).  The data source of the spreadsheet is  an Oracle table which is referenced in an SQL statement  - for example, the following works fine:

I've now added a Text field (TextBox1) to the form and would like to have the SQL statement refer to the value of this field.  I've tried various syntaxes, including the following::

This generates an error (ORA00904: "HOST: invalid identifier)

I've also tried the following:

This generates an error (ORA00904: "FORM1"."TEXTBOX1"."VALUE": invalid identifier)

I'd appreciate any ideas on what the correct syntax should be in referring to the Text field or whether or not this is even possible.

Applying changes to a text box within a form (edit mode)

I'm using the free text editor (http://freetextbox.com) and set a property (DesignModeCSS) to the text box based on the theme being used at the time. The following code works just fine:

TextBox_Home.DesignModeCss = "App_Themes/" + GetCurrentTheme() + "/BackOfficeTextStyles.css";

What I've since done is to add the text box control into a FormView (edit mode), and I'm now not sure how to access the text control to apply the code above.

Any help is much appreciated.

How to submit an InfoPath form back to SharePoint?

Hallo Clayton,

another question:  if I work in filesystem, I can open a infopath form (.xsn) , fill it and save the result as data file (.xml).

Can I realize a similar behaviour with SPF in a form library:  the user opens a form (.xsn), fills in the data, and then press s submit button, so that the data file is stored somewhere in sharepoint.

I have tried this, but I cannot find a way to "submit" the data back to sharepoint (from the Infopath client).

Thank you!

form elements in wrong order on custon newform.aspx

In SharePoint Designer 2007, I created a new .aspx page in which I put SharePoint Control > Custom List Form using the default content type for my for my list.  However, in the UI, when I try to create a new list item, the form fields are not rendering in the correct order.  I double checked by column ordering of the content type and it is correct.  Why is my new custom form not using the same column order?  I shouldn't have to get into the html and reorder things should I?

Split the integer value form text

I have a @message parameter in SP, user sends an Integer value in that message.
For Ex: @message = 'This is, a Test message 500000 and the message ends.'
Now i want to get only that 500000 value from this @message param. There is no delimiters for identifying the integer value and in that param contains only one integer value

create procedure st_test (@message varchar (4000), @result int output)
//LOGIC for get the interger value
