How could Transfer a simple object that is created in asp.net to java script code and worked with it

Posted By:      Posted Date: October 03, 2010    Points: 0   Category :ASP.Net

Hi Experts.

I have a simple call in asp.net code behind. There are two variable i, j and some methods in . Like:

Class Test()

{              int i; string str;

                Public getI(int){//.}

Public getJ(int){//.}

}

Is there any way to have the same class in javascript? I want to create a simple object form this class and initiated its variables and passed it to javascript code and worked with it? How can I do it?

Thanks

Scripting: Windows Script Host 5.6 Boasts Windows XP Integration, Security, New Object Model

Windows Script Host (WSH) 5.6, a major upgrade for the WSH environment, provides some significant improvements over previous versions. A brand new security model that is tightly integrated with security in Windows XP allows administrators to place fine-grained restrictions on scripts reducing the risk from malicious code. In addition, local scripts can now run on remote machines, and enhancements to the object model reduce the amount of boilerplate code needed when writing professional code. This overview of WSH 5.6 explains these changes and how .NET and scripting work together.

Windows Script Host: New Code-Signing Features Protect Against Malicious Scripts

Downloading scripts from the Web or e-mail leaves users vulnerable to security risks because scripts can't be signed. But now developers can use Windows Script Host (WSH) to hash scripts so users can verify their source and safety. With WSH, scripts can be signed or verified using all the same tools ordinarily used to sign EXE, CAB, DLL, and OCX files. This article discusses public-key cryptosystems, the process of signing and verifying scripts in WSH, and several warnings about attacks that could potentially be made against cryptographically secured scripts and ways in which to avoid them.

A Young Person's Guide to The Simple Object Access Protocol: SOAP Increases Interoperability Across

The Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) facilitates interoperability among a wide range of programs and platforms, making existing applications accessible to a broader range of users. SOAP combines the proven Web technology of HTTP with the flexibility and extensibility of XML. This article takes you on a comprehensive tour of Object RPC technology to help you understand the foundations of SOAP and the ways it overcomes many of the limitations of existing technologies, including DCOM and CORBA. This is followed by a detailed treatment of the SOAP encoding rules with a focus on how SOAP maps onto existing ORPC concepts.

Help: Too many lines of code to achieve a simple goal: keep my NULL SQL values...

Hello all

Question:
--------------
What is the best way (best practice) to preserve my NULL SQL values in the database
during an insert/update operation (without receiving cast invalid errors)?
Also, how to display a string 'n/a' when a sql value is NULL?

Description:
----------------
My project is using FormView with Edit/Insert templates and classes to represent my tables

Goals:
------------
Goal1....: display 'n/a' when there are NULL SQL values in the database
Solution1: I am using ISNULL(field,'') in my store procedure for SELECT statements

Goal2....: if the fields are 'n/a', then save them back in the database as NULL
Solution2: on my insert/edit methods I am having to check the values being passed, i.e:

cmd.Parameters.Add(new SqlParameter("@scope", SqlDbType.NVarChar, 50));

if (item.Scope == "n/a")
 cmd.Parameters["@scope"].Value = DBNull.Value;
else
 cmd.Parameters["@scope"].Value = item.Scope;

Not to mention that for SQL DateType fields when you use ISNULL(field,'') the return string is '1/1/1900 12:00:00 AM'
and I have to change the field value in every field that represents a date, i.e:

protected void FormView1_DataBound(object sender, Sy

ssrs 2008 R2 - report parameter with no default set throws java script error

We have recently upgraded from SQL Server 2008 to SQL Server 2008 R2....I am experiencing a problem with my report parameters on my SSRS reports. It seems that my report parameters that I do not have a specified 'default' value throws a java script error when I try and run/render the report under R2.  As soon as I put a 'default' value on the report param, everything is fine.  However, that is not the behavior we need for our reports...the user needs to pick their selection. Can anyone shed some light on this, it seems to be an AJAX problem...I need to be able to have report parameters with a list of values, but no 'default' value on the parameter.

Calendar.aspx page Refresh only Once + Java Script

Hi Experts, Following script works perfect (refresh only once after 5 seconds and stops but for some reason if somebody clicks next month then it keeps refreshing for 5 seconds. Can you please put the following code in your calendar.aspx page and check if you can get rid of the continuous refresh if somebody selects next month otherwise it works fine. Please provide the updated script <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd"> <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;charset=utf-8"> <title>Refresh test</title> <script type="text/javascript">   window.onload=function(){     url = window.location.href;     qIndex = url.indexOf("?");     if( qIndex != -1 ){       getData = url.substr(qIndex+1, url.length-1);       if(getData != "refreshed=1"){         refresh();       } else {         myDiv = document.getElementById('content');         myDiv.innerHTML = "This is the second and final time the page loaded.";       }
