Please provide me some sample code to work with jquery in content pages. For example my jquery code for validating username availability works in web form but not in content page.
Sorry, for the subject, but this is getting very annoying...
basically, from what i have endured from the past day and half, jquery does not work with content pages.
i currently have the main jquery script in the master page ( in header ):
I would like to know, based on your experience, if loading every page content into a div with jquery is a good practice.

I am trying to use the 2010 Content Organizer feature to route documents within my Pages library. This is actually MS's recommendation for large Pages libraries (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee721053.aspx).
At first I wasn't sure that this would work for me because I didn't think the content organizer feature would work on anything but document content types, however I have seen it work on a few of my pages (custom content type inheriting from Page) and
Page is listed as a supported content type (http://www.sharepointanalysthq.com/2010/05/content-organizer-routing-limitations/).
However, I am seeing some inconsistent behavior of this feature.
Here is what I have set up: Pages library with only my custom content type accepted (inherits from Page). I created a few simple rules to route content into folders within the Pages library based on a site column used (and required) on this custom
content type. I have a few different page layouts that can be used. For each of them, the custom content type is the only supported one. There ar
Hello sir, i am new to this forum, so please excuse me on my mistakes. I have a master page with asp TextBox and a Button also with 2 ContentPlaceHolders(ContentPlaceHolders1 & ContentPlaceHolders2). The project contains 2 WebForms Default.aspx & Search.asp. The purpose is to use the button click event to search records & place the results in the content page Search.aspx in ContentPlaceHolders1. The search is working fine but the problem is that the results get placed on the top(instead in the ContentPlaceHolders1) with the master page controls going down on the Search.aspx page. Please help me on this. I tried a lots of things like changing search page events to Page_LoadComplete etc etc but nothing worked.
My Default.aspx.vb code is as:
Public Sub mySearch_Click(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles mySearch.Click
Response.Redirect("Search.aspx?nameA=" + Keyword.Text)
My Search.aspx page is:
Suddenly, all my client side code comes up as the object being null or not found at the window.onload event. After 3 days of chasing this dragon, I added a test button which calls the same functionality which should run onload and when clicked, it has no trouble at all finding the object *after* the page has fully loaded. I've looked into almost all the posts on the web about this and I've found the question...but not the answer. I've played with the recommended fixes dealing with BehaviorID...the ClientID...the ctl100_control_object and ctl100$control$object names and I'm still dead in the water.
Somehow, I have to get this code to run at the page onLoad event. I'm gratefull for any suggestions at this point!
Thanks in advance!
I have a master page website with lots of content pages. On my master page i have a conditional css choice <!--[if IE]> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="iespecific.css" /><![endif]-->
Works great on master page ;-) However it doesnt not recognise it on the content pages which is causing mea problem as I need different css for ie and firefox the whole way through my website not just on the first page. Or any pages which are not content pages of master. I have even tried to putthe same code to choosea stylesheet in the content placeholder head section of the content page no luck... If anyone could help i would be so grateful i have come to a dead end
First time I have started looking at jquery, and i'm not sure if the following is possible.
I have an aspx page containing the tabs, rather than putting all the content into the aspx page I decided to add a placeholder to each tab and load an ascx page.
This works, but now I want to add the ability to move to the next tab on a button click.
The button resides in the ascx page.
But is it possible to do this from the ascx page, as the tabs are on the aspx page?
I have two aspx pages that both use the same master page. Master page is more or less the default from VWD 2010 web application (Site.Master).
So both page A and B have the same:
<%@ Page Title="Sample web app" Language="C#" MasterPageFile="~/Site.master" AutoEventWireup="true"
CodeBehind="PageA/B.aspx.cs" Inherits="WebApp.PageA/B" %>
<asp:Content ID="HeaderContent" runat="server" ContentPlaceHolderID="HeadContent">,
<link href="Styles/Table.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
<asp:Content ID="BodyContent" runat="server" ContentPlaceHolderID="MainContent">
The difference when shown in web browsers is (tested on Chrome and Firefox) that PageB looks like it has one more blank row/space on top of the page. How is this possible?
