I want to generate audit log report for sharepoint user (MOSS 2007) what he/she did adding, updating, deletion like that.
Can any one explain step by step how to do that?
For to generate that report out of the box functionality is available or not in MOSS 2007?
Please give me useful links for that also.
Please reply asap.
I have 7 site collections containing a few hundred team collaboration sites. Some users are internal (intranet) but most are external (extranet). Extranet users are experiencing problems with losing links to their sites and forgetting which URLs to
use. So I would like to create a single entry page that all users can enter after the logon process, which shows a list of sites they have permission to access, and other user-specific information. Perhaps relevant documents, tasks, recently modified documents
I know this sounds like a 'My Site' but we want to use use a general welcome page instead. We use Windows authentication.
What is the best way of doing this and is it something that can be done in SharePoing Designer or does it need to be done in Visual Studio?
Many thanks in advance.
1) I am aware that simply adding a "/m" to the site URL gives me the mobile URL but it opens the _layouts/mobile/mbllists.aspx page instead of showing the site default.aspx page. I want the site to be accessible on mobile devices in the same way as through internet browsers. What is it that I need to do?
2)ÃÂ Can someone also tell me how does MOSS handle mobile requests i.e the underlying architecture?
I have a web site under constructing using MOSS 2007, when site is not opened for long time, and come some one to open it, MOSS 2007 return error:
Error occured, if you have a permission go to webpart editing page to solve the problem...
I don't know why this happen, and how to solve it?
I have this strange behavior in my test and prod environment but not in my Dev.
The case is as following:
In the same discussion list If the title of the topic does'nt contain any accent charactere it works well !
Regional settings of the site collection are strictly identical on Dev, test and pro environment.
Does someone have any Idea ?
Thanks in advance for your answers
I am using VS 2010 premium, Win Server 2008 R2, MOSS 2007 and are all installed on the same machine.
First, I when I try to connect with the server explorer...I get A SharePoint server is not installed on this computer which is not true.
Second, When I try to open a website through > open website > local IIS and click on my sharepoint portal site I get.....Unable to open website, Visual Web Dveloper does not support opening sharepoint sites. Why am I getting this? I am not using Visual web Devloper. I am using VS 2010 premium.
Why is it so hard to open adn/or connect to our sharepoint sites with VS 2010? I have no problem at all using Sharepoint designer to connect but I want to use visual stuidio. I hate the designer. I think microsoft dropped the ball on this one. Anybody know of a good article/tutorial on this?
I am trying to disable "Colleagues on My Site" policy, under the Shared
Services Administration. But when I try to disable it it is not editable.
I can click edit but then enable is set and it is grayed out.
