Salam to all,
in my page, i have an iframe which have a src for another page,
the inner page have a Forms, buttons.. ..etc. the target for the form in the inner page is "self"
how can i do that ?
In Windows 7 when I use window.open(url, "_MyWindow") a new browser window opens every time I click.
Expected behaviour is - URL is replaced in the browser window with the same target attribute (_MyWindow) if it's already open.
Any suggestion/workaround is greatly appreciated.
All works fine in any other OS/IE config, even on XP/IE8.
same issue appears using <a href=http://www.microsoft.com target="_MyWindow">Open link</a>
After clicking OK or Cancel from the OpenFileDialog, the calling form gets closed not allowing user to push OK on calling form to save changes. Strange thing is, if calling form is opened modeless from main form, this does not happen. But I do
not want this form to be left open modeless.
Here's the code:
Main Form opens form to change a file path
Private Sub AdvancedDatabaseConfigurationToolStripMenuItem_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles AdvancedDatabaseConfigurationToolStripMenuItem.Click
Dim formDBPath As New frmDBPath
Private Sub btnBrowse_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnBrowse.Click
Dim openResult As DialogResult = Me.OpenFileDialog1.ShowDialog(Me)
If openResult = Windows.Forms.DialogResult.Cancel Then Exit Sub
Me.txtNewDBPath.Text = Me.OpenFileDialog1.FileName
When I step through in the debugger, I click OK on the OpenFileDialog, it returns to btnBrowse_Click sub and sets the textbox text, then control passes back to main form sub AdvancedDatabaseConfigurationToolStripMenuI
Hullo Good Friend,
I encounter another interesting problem.
I need your help. Please help me.
I am writing a new C#Net2008 Window Application. The first FORM that was created is FrmSales.cs
Then I created another FORM FrmMainMenu.cs which is the Main Menu form with 6 command buttons to load other forms.
When I pressed F5 to launch the application, FrmSales.cs appears instead of FrmMainMenu .
What must I do to make FrmMainMenu the initial form to lauch. Which provide menu options for the user to select and load other specific FORM.
I want to generate a unique random number everytime a user submits a form. As the form is submited the data of the form should be placed in a database and a unique random number should be generated so that the user can later use this unique random number to reterieve his details from the database that refer to his unique random id. The unique random number should be atleast 9 digits long. Please help me on this.
How can I display the ID of an InfoPath form after I have submitted it to my doc library in SharePoint. In other words I want to display the ID the next time I open the form (ie after the first save) as well as in the doc library in a view.
In Sharepoint designer I am trying to set a custom display form for a list, following the instructions in the Sharepoint designer help.
I've got a functional display form, called DispForm3.aspx. I know it works since I tested itÃÂ byÃÂ replacing the form name in the normal URL where a display form is opened.
However I can not get the list to accept this new form as the display item form.
In Sharepoint Designer, in the List Properties Supporting Files tab I set the Display item form to be DispForm3.aspx and press OK. When I look again I see that the Display item for is DispForm.aspx.
This happens on any list that I try to customise the display form for, even new ones.
Sharepoint designer is allowing me to set the display item form to DispForm3.aspx but is not saving it, or is failing silently when it tries to save it.
Any assistance appreciated.
we'd like to provide an Info Path Forms Services based form to give users an easy web based ability to upload new documents with some metada and doeing some plausability tests to check if the metadata do make sense. The form will be presented to external users to provide documents in a structured and qualified way.
So we created the InfoPath form and added a repeating "File-Attachment" control to the form. But with this control the files are attached to the InfoPath form itself and not uploaded to a document library. And so the internal users can not easyly work with the documents.
So what would options do we have to customize InfoPath to provide an possiblility to upload documents to a document library?
