Has anyone been able to get the ReportViewer to work correctly inside an UpdatePanel?
For me the report renders fine on the initial whole-page refresh, but when I click the next page button the next page renders but doesn't allow me to navigate through the pages anymore. The toolbar says "(blank) of 0" pages and the arrow toolbar buttons for navigating between pages are all disabled.
Iuse UpdatePanel for my pages, clients requested to view pages without flickering.
So, I put all component in update panel, but after that, export and printing for Crystal Reports stoped to work. If I put report viewer outside of updatepanel its working.
Have anyone this problem? There's some solution for this?
I am having problems with alert box not popup when I'm using AJAX UpdatePanel. The following is what I have and it's not working.
1 ClientScriptManager csm = Page.ClientScript;
3 if(!csm.IsStartupScriptRegistered(this.GetType(), "winPop"))
5 csm.RegisterStartupScript(this.GetType(), "winPop", "alert('Update is successful');", true);
I have to stress that the reason why it does not work is because I'm using AJAX UpdatePanel. If I turned off the AJAX UpdatePanel then it works perfectly. So does anyone have solution to go around this AJAX UpdatePanel issue?
I have a page with UpdatePanel and PeopleEditor control inside it. PeopleEditor control does not restore selected user(s) after post back.
Searching over support forums gave me some answered questions but page with solution

I have a Submit button and some functionality like updating DB and fetching next page in the button click event. This process takes a long time and I want to display a message saying "Progress...." right after clicking the botton. I want to do the same in 20 other pages. So, best way to do it wd be to put the modalpopup MPE or an Updateprogress in a usercontrol or in master page. I first tried putting both of these on the page itself to test and see and neither worked.
I tried using Update progress control with a dummy updatepanel and giving the Submit button as Asyntrigger to the dummy updatepanel. I have also tried using MPE but it didnt work either. Below is an example of what i did..
<asp:UpdatePanel ID="UpdatePanel1" runat=server><contenttemplate><triggers><asyntrigger ID= "Submit"> /> /> />
<asp:updateprogress ID="Progress1" unat=server AssociatedUpdatePanelID="UpdatePanel1"><Progresstemplate>Progress.... />/>
<asp:button ID= "Submit" runat=server >
I have nothing for updateprogress in code behind. Am i missing or doing somethign wrong here? Any help would be appreciated.
