I'm having a rare problem with SharePoint 2007 when using iFrames on it. The issue is the following one:
We have a portal which displays a web page hosted in a remote application employing an iFrame. The iFrame source URL is allways as "domain/folder/.../page.html?language=es&searchkey=something", the "something" parameter is passed dinamically. Well,
the problem comes when we call this sharepoint page (the one which contains the iFrame) -for first time- and -the search key submited contains accentuated characters- like for example "ú" or "é". The iFrame, somehow, doesn't interprete the latin
caracter codification and transforms them like for instance the "ú" to "ºA" (a word like Júan will be traformed to "jºAan"). In consecuence the search wont't return anithing...
Its weird but this only occurs the firts time we are redirected to the iFrame page, the rest of the times (for example if we refresh the page) it will allways inerprete those characters correctly untill we sign out from the system. Im aware that other applicatión
are imbolved in this issue but this iFrame was tested in diferent platforms and it works. It only fails with SharePoint so I concluded that it has something to see whit it and not the remote search
