Missing Features - Preupgradecheck

Posted By:      Posted Date: October 01, 2010    Points: 0   Category :SharePoint

Hi all,
Hope everyone is doing well.
Have one question hope anyone of you can help. We are preparing MOSS'07 servers for upgrade to '10
We run the preupgradecheck to all the WFEs and App servers.   On all the servers we got the similar failure message:
“FeatureInfo... Failed”
Here is the list of missing features
1. Name = [Unknown], Feature id = [e2660694-9026-460b-8515-69ca06ecd4d8], Reference count = [5], Scope = [Web], Status = [Missing]

2. Name = [Unknown], Feature id = [2bd78eb6-3060-47fa-8ee7-2733473960ce], Reference count = [1], Scope = [Web], Status = [Missing]

3. Name = [Unknown], Feature id = [d0ed94a7-3e16-3274-d1da-373e78264c65], Reference count = [1], Scope = [Web], Status = [Missing]

4. Name = [Unknown], Feature id = [f18768df-65a7-4984-8261-8f75b1fcfd8d], Reference count = [1], Scope = [Web], Status = [Missing]

I referred KB articles which mentioned to install these missing features. Google and Bing do not return any result when I tried to find the names of these features using their IDs. Here is the list of all MOSS

Missing "SharePoint Server Enterprise Site Collection Features" in Site COllection Feature

Hi,

All collection sites seem to be missing on the "SharePoint Server Enterprise Site Collection Features" in Site COllection Feature. However, I have PowerPivot uninstalled and reinstalled. Not sure if this could be the reason for it.

Thanks

preupgradecheck missing file

I ran the stsadm preupgradecheck this morning as we make our way toward SP2010 and it indicated a missing config file.  It gave me the ID of the file, but how do I find out what file it's expecting to see?

Pre-Upgrade: Identifying Missing Web Parts / Features

I'm trying to find what feature the upgrade report is referencing. I tried forcing a removal based on the ID and when I run the upgrade check again, they are still there. Any other way to get a simple name based on the Feature ID?

The following feature(s) are referenced by the content, but they are not installed on the web server

  • Name = Unknown, Feature id = d0944c5e-9a3a-41a0-ab89-6a810e305574, Reference count = 1, Scope = Web, Status = Missing
  • Name = Unknown, Feature id = b8ded45f-e2d9-4a5f-bd7f-502b737be901, Reference count = 24, Scope = Web, Status = Missing
  • Name = Unknown, Feature id = 84353df7-52b1-463c-a9c0-88a15a0f2087, Reference count = 1, Scope = Web, Status = Missing
  • Name = Unknown, Feature id = 15dd658a-9006-42e7-ab43-54554cf67aa5, Reference count = 1, Scope = Web, Status = Missing
The following setup file(s) are referenced by the content, but they are not installed on the web server
  • Path = [C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\Template\Features\SharePointAJAX\dwp\SPCommunity.webpart], Reference = [1], Status = [Missing]
  • Path = [C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\Template\Features\SharePoi

Once again, 2007-2010 strange missing features.... etc

Ok, so I've been plugging away at cleaning up our 07 content db(s) and testing them Test-SPContentDatabase -Name -WebApplication
on the new machine (DB attach upgrade). All reports well on the preupgradecheck as well as wssanalyzefeatures from the 07 box but there are a few webparts from the Test-SPContentDatabase that I can't seem to track down WHERE they are on the site...

Content Query Web Part missing in SharePoint 2010

If you don't see content query web part listed in the web parts list, this is because you have not enabled "Search Server Web Parts" feature in site collection features. Enable this feature and content query web part will show in the list of web parts.

Missing 'new item templates'

 Hi all,

I am a 'newbie' to VWD and I am slowly working through the Basic Walkthrough Help files, and learning plenty along the way.

However, when I tried to create a new database in the LINQ control walkthrough I found that the option to create a new database is missing, and further investigation has found that many other new item templates are missing.

I am using a brand new machine with Windows 7 Ultimate and have enabled IIS and .NET from Control Panel-Programs-Turn Windows Features On-Off. I used the WPI to install all basic elements eg. IIS Components, SQL Server Express.

The only 'new item templates' I have when I right-click the App_Data Folder and choose 'new item' are:-

ADO.NET Data Service

AJAX Enabled WCF Service

Dynamic Data Field

SQL Server Database

Text File

XML File

Does anyone know where I have gone wrong.
