Splash Screen Build Action

I have an application that has the buildaction property of an image set to splashscreen. When I build this application i'm receiving an error which reads:

Error 1 No overload for method 'Show' takes 1 arguments

Code from App.g.cs below:

/// <summary>

Use jQuery and ASP.NET AJAX to build a client side Repeater

By sending only data to the client, you can profoundly reduce the size of what you send and see a substantial increase in performance. You also allow yourself the ability to easily add features like light-weight sorting and paging on the client. This can not only improve your users' experience, but reduce server load and bandwidth requirements.

To that end, I'm going to walk you through these four steps to effectively implementing a client side Repeater, using ASP.NET AJAX and jQuery:

pass value from textbox to action, formcollection best way here?

Hi I'm building a e-commerce store and on quantity of product I'm going with a textbox. I thought I would ask how would you do this? a viewmodel to use a strongly typed textbox or just get the value of the textbox from the formscollection passed in to the action?

build repository from SQL 2005? for a Linq, Jquery autocomplete

Hello,

  I have the a question am going about his correctly I have a database for categories, it has many fields and about 4000 records,  but with a Jquery autocomplete needing speed and the fact that I only need to return a key and category name. I did the following:  (oh just to note, MVC2, Ajax project)

someclass.cs

    public class categorySearch
    {
        public Guid Category_GUID { get; set; }
        public string Category_Name { get; set; }

    }

and now for the repository
Categoryrepository.cs

    public class categoryRepository
    {
        internal List<categorySearch> FindCategory(string searchText, int maxResults)
        {
            List<categorySearch> category = new List<categorySearch>();
            dbWebEntities storedb = new dbWebEntities();

            var getcat = storedb.Categories.ToList();

            foreach (var item in getcat)
            {
                category.Add(new categorySearch { Category_GUID = item.Cat_GUID, Category_Name = item.Category_Name});
            }

            var result = from c in category
                         where c.Category_Name.Contains(searchText)
                         orderby c.Category_Name

web deployment project (WS_deploy) on VS2008

I am building a asp.net webservice in VS2008 and the web service compiles and debug fine. The project should be using : Net 3,5

 I have

  1. VS2005 and VS208 installed
  2. .Net 1.1 - 3.5
  3. WebDeploymentSetup for VS2008 (and most likely a version for VS2005 as well)

But when I add a web deployment project the fun stops. The .WS_deploy project will not compile and I cannot find any precompiled output.

Build succeeded but still shows as failed.

 I am able to run a build successfully on just the web site, but when i add the deployment project it shows failed (see below) but in the details it says build succeeded for the WDP build portion...so I am stumped as to by I am getting a failure. any ideas? I have set the build output to "Diagnostic" and dont see any failures or errors...so is there anything else i can do to find the problem?
