I'm used to working with VS 2008 and toggling bookmarks in aspx pages was very useful, however in VS 2010 I'm unable to toggle bookmarks using the CTRL + K + K or the actual "Toggle bookmark" button from the bookmarks tool. Is there an option to enable this on the ASPX page, it works everywhere else though.
In MVC it's very easy to control routing.
In my classic ASP.NET application I want to "hide" .aspx extension
I can do it with new ASP.NET 4 feature: MapPageRoute
routes.MapPageRoute("login", "login", "~/login.aspx");
Now http://site.com/login will work. But I have more than 50 pages, and adding 50 rules is ridiculous.
How can I solve this?
hi ,i am making an internal social networking application for my small organisation where i work .i have a list of all employee names in a mssql 2000 database that are the names of 5000 employees of the company one by one arranged in rows in a single coloumn of a table . i have a folder ,i want to make .aspx files/pages in that folder ,the file name should be same as names of the person in database coloumn.can any help me with codes to automatically make the .aspx pages with the same names as it is in database coloumn.(note that folder will not take any duplicate values(name will not be repeated)) .i am making application using asp.net 2.0.file will be automatically created in the folder as soon as new name is entered in database.its very difficult to make 5000 aspx page with each employee name and it will be difficult to make new pages again and again after new employees names are entered.so i want that files will be automatically created after employee names are registered. thanks in advance.hoping for help for someone.
I inherited a web site which contains many stand-alone aspx pages (with the .NET code in the page rather than in a code-behind file). I'm wondering how to debug these pages; I cannot set breakpoints in them (I can set breakpoints in the code files on the site without issue). I'm using Visual Studio 2008.
First time 4.0, the project is a complied DLL - is there any way to revert to just normal aspx and editable cs?
I have enabled customError in my web.config file and it handles 'Page not found' error for aspx pages or any other files types handled by ASP runtime. My problem is my application is on a remote host and when a user tries a url on my website that ends with something other than those files types handled by ASP run time, for example http://mywesites.com/sdkdhiufuhief.hei, it displays a detailed error page by the IIS which I really don't like the malicious users to see. It contains a lot of information like the physical path of the application.
How can I handle all 404 html error regardless of the file type and URL in my ASP.NET application?
The basic issue is that I have a html page that needs just a smidgeon of code on it. The issue is that I don't want to have to rewrite the whole page to be an aspx page and put all the text boxes as asp textboxes BUT I don't know how to refer to the controls on the page without doing that.
Is there any way to add a smidgeon of aspx code to a html page without having to rewrite the whole page?
All I want to do is update a textbox or two with some data.
anyone is kind to help?
Thanks in advance. Regards.
How/where does SharePoint 2007 / IIS 2008ÃÂ control the redirection of a site base urlÃÂ to .../Pages/default.aspx?I have a SP site that for some reason is displaying theÃÂ directory browsing of its ...\inetpub\wwwroot\wss\VirtualDirectories directory instead of initalizing SharePoint.I did find a missing HTTP Header which should have been inherited and manually entered it but that didn't help.TIA,Marc
I need step by step process for deploying aspx pages into sharepoint 2007.
I've recently launched my page but the aspx files are not reading the cs pages. For instance, my login page has c# redirecting users based on roles, but it just ignored the c# and goes to default.aspx. Everything works perfect in the development environment....
Ideally, what I want is column level security on a custom list, but that appears to be way more work than it's worth.Any easy way to restrict access to Views or View pages to select SharePoint groups? Maybe some client level code we have in a Content editor webpart on the View page?Users in the Group have read access to a particular list. The Quick launch menu is hidden (I understand that's not real security) .. and the top level tabs are set to particular audiences, and I understand they can still call the pages if they know the URL. I've warned the users about this.I have not tried it, but can I have folders under the list folder and then somehow secure them?We currently have custom pages for adding and editing list items, but will terrible things come from renaming the Allitems.aspx page or editing it and taking out the View, like for example, say we do have to use newform.aspx for some admin reason and it redirects to it..Any way to disable users from being able to open the list exel or export it?Anything else we can do. The goal is to provide some visitor type users read access to some 10 columns in a list, but not let them see the remaining 5.Thanks for any help or information.
