could anybody tell me what's wrong?
and by the way,
i'm using ssrs 2008 r2
i use report builder(content type) to create reports from sharepoint lists.
thx in advance.
My table structure is as follows:
Table Name: CustSpecialty
I tried "FOR XML PATH" but what Spec I get for CustID=2 is: A,B,B,C,D,A,D. What I want is distinct Specs: A,B,C,D
Same for other Custs.
I'm referring to a previous thread:
How to get distinct values of SharePoint column using SSRS. I followed all the steps as set out but when I view my report, the parameter is greyed out. I then downloaded the example
report of Jin Chen. In that report, he suggests a blank parameter label for the main parameter, as well as, a default value for the hidden parameter (which is different from the initial thread posted). When I change my report accordingly,
I get an error: An error occurred during local report processing. MainParameter.
Anyone with suggestions?
I'm trying to bind a dataset (where the data is coming from a webservice) to a dropdownlist; the problem is that I'm getting duplicates in the list... how can I display distinct values only:
drp_Brand.DataSource = ds.Tables;
drp_Brand.DataTextField = "Brand";
drp_Brand.DataValueField = "Brand";
There are many duplicate rows on the Table. where I need to pick the Distinct Values.
I have a SELECT statement that I save into a temporary table and the return table partly looks like this.
Username | areaName |zalkin | bluezalkin | redzalkin | greenuser2 | blueuser2 | greenuser1 | yellowuser1 | red
I need to get the areaName as a comma-separated list for each user. The query should return a table like this:
zalkin | blue, red, greenuser2 | blue, greenuser1 | yellow, red
How would I do this?And also, can I do this in my first select statement, before I create the temporary table?
As I kept my fetched datatables into session and accessing it on another page there I am
wroking on datatable to fetch only distinct values of particular column to assign to dropdown list.
i got some samples and i did autocomplete using jquery , its working well for single input values

This is quite strange. here is the issue:
1. I'm using a multi-select jqgrid.
2. I have my own delete button to delete multiple orders
When i press the delete button on the pager of my jqgrid, the records are deleted from the database but JqGrid shows some records (4-5). On refreshing the grid, correct numbers of records are shown.
Here is the code:
I'm working with VS2010 Beta2, ASP.NET and Dynamic Data. I'm using VB but will certainly be happy to receive a C# example if necessary.
I used a few of Steve's examples (Writing Attributes and Extension Methods for Dynamic Data and Dynamic Data - Hiding Columns in selected PageTemplates) to create a custom property attribute to be applied to a dynamic data column and want it to accept an array of enum values (each value will represent a dynamic data page template where this column should not be displayed). My new attribute works fine when I hardcode it like this, meaning the HideColumnIn attribute is properly populated with the array of enum values:
<HideColumnIn(PageTemplate.List, PageTemplate.Edit)> _
Public Property My_DD_Column As Object
However, I want to store the values to be used for the HideColumnIn in the DB as integer values that correspond to the

I'm new to xml.
Currently I'm using the SOAP service and MSXML2.ServerXMLHTTP40 to get data from a website.
To retrieve data I'm using the "responseText" method of the MSXML2.ServerXMLHTTP40 class.
My XML tree looks like this. ( part of the tree)
Just need to retrieve the value of the "projectName" & "dataID" from this.
Appreciate if somebody can help me to get the values of the above 2 fields with the relevant code.
Thanking you in advance.
