I have created a report with all the fields from a share-point list. The report is fine. Now I have to do a wild-card search in that.
The report will be like this
No Name Department
1 John Finance
2 David IT
3 Thomas Consulting
4 Smith Legal
I have to create a text-box where a user enters any text, and when he clicks "view report" the report table should display all the rows with all the occurrence of that keyword entered on that textbox.
For eg. if I type 'a' in the text-box, it should display all the rows that has 'a'. The output would be
1 John Fina nce

How to achieve this. Any suggestions
I upgraded our enterprise sql server 2008 to sql server 2008 r2 last weekend. Along with this i installed the report builder 3.0 on the servers as well and the updated ssrs add in for sharepoint. The upgrade went fine, no errors that i could
find. The problem is now when i go to a library that has the report builder content type enabled and click report builder report under new it does not load report builder 3.0.
I updated the custom report builder url in central administration from /_vti_bin/ReportBuilder/ReportBuilder_2_0_0_0.application to /_vti_bin/ReportBuilder/ReportBuilder_3_0_0_0.application
however when i do click the new report builder report it kicks me over to
http://company.com/ReportServer_MossEnt which itemizes out each individual sharepoint site in the farm.
Is the integration of ssrs 2008 r2, sharepoint 2007 and report builder 3.0 work? did i install the wrong version of the report builder add in? The above is the only problem i am having now.
all servers are server 2008, 64 bit and moss 2007 enterprise with sp2 & april 2010 cu
I have a single server farm with Sharepoint 2010 and SQL 2008 R2 installed. I have an extranet zone configured - and this is working fine from the internet via a Forefront TMG box. All features in the farm, including Performance Point pieces (reports/dashboards
etc) are working fine via the extranet zone except for Reporting Services reports (these are working fine in the internal/default zone). I can see the report library, and the individual report items via the extranet, but when I try to view a report,
I get this:
The Web application at https://extranet.company.asia/client/Report Library/Spend by Media Owner.rdl
could not be found. Verify that you have typed the URL correctly. If the URL should be serving existing content, the system administrator may need to add a new request URL mapping to the intended application."
My understanding is that multiple zones are now supported in Sharepoint 2010/SSRS 2008 integrations, and that AAM should propagate automatically (?). Can anyone assist in helping me understand where to look next?
An RDL is added to a list. The RDL is clicked and it renders the report and data , while the parameters have a non empty default value. (pefect world)
error occurrs, with 'null' is not an object error. And ideas?
my environment as below:1- SERVER A (SQL server DB 2008 sp1)2- Server A (SSRS 2008 sp)3- SERVER B MOSS 2007 sp1I configured the SSRS to be sharepoint intergated mode but when iÃÂ hit the Web Service URL i got the error below:
Since i have understood that sharepoint 2008 search express doesn't do any security trimming i am trying to index an external fileshare (on a non trusted domain) with it. After authenticating with the external domain account I can manually access all the
files in that share i need to. Sharepoint 2008 search express somehow is unable to use the crawl rule in which i specified a different content access account (which is the external domain account). It continuously gives the error "Access is denied. Check
that the Default Content Access Account has access to this content, or add a crawl rule to crawl this content."
Exactly the same configuration works fine with sharepoint search server 2010, but that does do security trimming and because of the share being completely external my users could't see any search results.
I'm currently in a DWH project using SSRS 2008 R2 x64 in Sharepoint Integrated mode along with Sharepoint 2010, and we're seeing massive performance problems even though traffic on the server is at a bare minimum. We're in development with a maximum of a
few users online at any given time and the server itself isn't doing a whole lot...cpu is usually < 20%. We have timed the database queries and 90% of them are taking less than a second to execute while reports takes anywhere from 5 to 30 seconds to load
(some heavier reports can occasionally take a lot longer). I am simply unable to get anything to load in less than 5 seconds, even the simples grid from a
SELECT TOP 5 * FROM table query takes this long.
The server setup is suboptimal as SQL Server, Reporting Services and Sharepoint are all running on the same virtual machine but with the minimal amount of traffic we have this shouldn't really be a problem. The server is a Win 2008 x64 Datacenter with 4
CPU's and 16GB RAM.
A standard sharepoint page that gets data from the database is returned in milliseconds...why doesn't reporting services do the same? What can I do to increase performance?
1. Does Sharepoint 2010 in integrated mode Support =Globals!ReportName
Or is there any equivalent of the above expression to work in sharepoint
2. I tried to Deploy Reports from BIDS 2008 to Sharepoint 2010. No matter what settings i choose for OverWriteDatsources, it always redeploys the Datasources.
What is the best way to search SSRS .RDL reports from SharePoint. My goal is to be able to search for a key word (e.g. KPI1) and it query reporting services.
I'm looking into setting up BDC search but I don't have all the details straight yet.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I"m attempting to upgrade from SQL Server 2005 to SQL Server 2008 R2 x64 Enterprise on a server running Windows Server 2003 x64 Enterprise, SharePoint 2007 Enterprise, and SQL Server 2005 and SSRS 2005 Enterprise running in integrated mode.
I installed the Microsoft SQL Server 2008 SP2 Reporting Services Add-in for Microsoft SharePoint Technologies from here:
When attempting to install Report Builder 2.0, I get the error "Reporting Services Add-in for SharePoint products and technologies is not installed."
When I try to run a report (existing 2005 reports already deployed), I get the error: "Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object." The log has repeating ReportingServicesService.exe errors: #20015: Cannot open "Resources.en-US.resx":
no such file or folder, and: Localized resource for token 'ManageDatasetCaching_Desc' could not be found for file with path: "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\Template\Features\ReportServer\ItemCustomActions\ecbExtension.xml"

I'm having problems configuring SSRS in integrated mode, whenever I try to do anything with SSRS (including create a data source in a report library) I get a 401 Error. I'll try to describe my setup the best I can.
My farm consists of 3 servers.
SPSQL1 - Contains all the databases needed for SharePoint
SPAPP1 - Central Admin and SSRS (DNS Alias REPORT1)
SPWFE1 - Web Front End
Outside of the environment I have
CUBE1 - SSAS
SQL1 - RDB
I have the following SPN's setup:
On spapp_user (Which also is the service account for SSRS)
On cube_user I have
On sql_usre I have
On spwfe1, spapp1, and spapp_user I have setup constrained delegations to
I also have setup the reporting services config file to negotiate instead of use NTLM. And the Applicaon is using classic authentication since we're trying to use Windows Authentication in the reports we want to create when we can actually create them.
So far I have had no luck, however I am able to succe
I am unable to schedule report am getting following error when trying to schedule an SSRS report from ReportViewer Webpart in SharePoint 2010.
I have SSRS 2008 R2 running in SharePoint 2010 Integration mode on Win 2008 R2 System.
I have also setup the unattended execution account from the Reporting Services Configuration Manager, which has appropriate privilates on the database to generate report.
Also, I have reporting webservice setup @ following url (am using the named instance of SQL Server):
