Connectivity between SQL Serevr 2008 and SAP BW using Microsoft Connector 1.0

Posted By:      Posted Date: September 30, 2010    Points: 0   Category :Sql Server

Hi ALL

I am trying to connect to SSIS 2008 to SAP BW using Microsoft Connector 1.0.

Following are stepes I performed.

1. Created RFC on SAP BW Server.

2. Created Prcess Chain in SAP BW.

3. Created SSIS Package using SAP BI Source. Here I set Execution Mode : P Trigger   Process Chain.

The process chain is executing fine on SAP BW Server, But it is unable to send back a notification to SSIS package.  And here my SSIS package failed.

I am getting following error message :

[SAP BI Source] Information: Process Start Process, variant Start Variant for MSBI has status Completed (instance D8Z84GJ2RLV7WCI2IYK5CZ1R3)

[SAP BI Source] Error: An internal exception occurred.
Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.SapBw.Connectivity.ERPException:
An error occurred during the dispatch of the incoming function. The last return code was "RFC_FAILURE".

Before this error I am getting following messages are :

[SAP BI Source] Information: Process Data Transfer Process, variant Z09_O101 -> Z09_H101 has status Active (instance DTPR_D8Z84GJ2RLVZKYTTUHZRFEG0V)

[SAP BI Source] Information: The component is waiting for a notification.

Troubleshoot Microsoft Connector 1.0 for SAP BI

I have installed the Microsoft Connector 1.0 for SAP BI (April 2009 feature pack) on a Windows 2008 R2 server with SQL 2008 SP1 (Cum Update 6). I have established an SAP BI Connection and SAP BI Data Source. The Data Source is able identify the OHS_Destination, Process Chain, and respective Columns. Confirm that the librfc32.dll is installed correctly. The Output of the Data Source is connected to a simple OLEDB destination. When executing the package, it fails at the SAP BI Data Source with the following errors: [SAP BI Source] Error: Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.SapBw.Connectivity.ERPException: FAILED Execution failed.    at Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.SapBw.Connectivity.RFCFunction.Execute()    at Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.SapBw.Components.OHSExtractor.ExtractNow(Boolean InRuntimeMode, String GatewayHost, String GatewayService, String ProgramID, String ProcessChain, String DestinationName, String ExecutionMode, String PropertyRequestID, Int32 Timeout) [SAP BI Source [61]] Error: Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.SapBw.Connectivity.ERPException: FAILED Execution failed.    at Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.SapBw.Components.OHSExtractor.ExtractNow(Boolean InRuntimeMode, String GatewayHost, String GatewayService, String ProgramID, String ProcessChain, String DestinationName, String ExecutionMode, String PropertyRequestID, Int32 Timeout)    at Mic

Error while trying to register DLLs for Microsoft Jet on Windows Server 2008 R2 64bit

Hello! I'm having issues with importing Excel spreadsheets into Microsoft SQL Server 2005 on a Windows Server 2008 R2 64bit server.  After browsing the web, it appears that the problem is with the DLL's used by Microsoft Jet.  I've thus attempted to re-register these DLL's.  However, I am receiving the following results. c:\Windows\SysWOW64> regsvr32 c:\Windows\SysWOW64\msjetoledb40.dllSuccessful c:\Windows\SysWOW64> regsvr32 c:\Windows\SysWOW64\msjet40.dllSuccessful c:\Windows\SysWOW64> regsvr32 c:\Windows\SysWOW64\msjint40.dllThe module "msjint40.dll" was loaded but the entry-point DLLRegisterServer was not found c:\Windows\SysWOW64> regsvr32 c:\Windows\SysWOW64\msjter40.dllThe module "msjter40.dll" was loaded but the entry-point DLLRegisterServer was not found c:\Windows\SysWOW64> regsvr32 c:\Windows\SysWOW64\msjtes40.dllSuccessful c:\Windows\SysWOW64> regsvr32 c:\Windows\SysWOW64\mswstr10.dllThe module "mswstr10.dll" was loaded but the entry-point DLLRegisterServer was not found I've set the application pool for this site to use 32bit.  Please note that due to my role on the team, other options such as using ACE are not available to me, unless I can prove that I've exhausted all other options. Thoughts? Thanks,Mike

Problems with SMO 2008 Redist + Microsoft.SqlServer.BatchParserClient

Hi,    I'm trying to run my application using SMO 2008. Everything works just fine if i have sql 2008 server installed.   My problem starts when I try to use SMO 2008 Redist. First it does not install Microsoft.SqlServer.BatchParserClient or Microsoft.SqlServer.BatchParser. After a little research, I found that this is a problem and that these files have to be copied manually to the folder where the application runs.  So I tried copying the files: No luck, i get a Could not load file (Below).  Then i tried to adding these files to the GAC manually: Same thing, Could not load file:   Code Snippet Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Smo.FailedOperationException: ExecuteNonQuery failed for Database 'DB2008'.  ---> System.IO.FileLoadException: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.SqlServer.BatchParser, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89845dcd8080cc91' or one of its dependencies. This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800736B1)        Then I looked at the version of the files and they seemed to be version 10.0.144.32, so I went to my app.config and added a bind redirection from 10.0.0.0 to 10.0.144.32. now it finds the assembly but says that Manifest doesnt mach the reference:   Code SnippetMicrosoft.SqlServer.Management.Sm

Help with Microsoft Authorisation Manager (Azman) for Windows Server 2008 and XP Dev

Morning all, I am hoping someone can shed some light on a problem i have as i seem to be at a dead end and cannot find a resolution. Even Google!   My scenario is as follows: 1) I have Azman installed on a windows 2008 server with the database hosted on SQL server. 2) I have an application that im developing in a Windows XP environment using a version 2.0.0.0 managed PIA for AzMan (Microsoft.Interop.Security.AzRoles). When the application loads, and the following statement is executed: AzAuthorizationStoreClass store = new AzAuthorizationStoreClass(); store.Initialize(0, this.storeLocation, null); ... i get an exception which is thrown by .Initialise: "The specified network provider name is invalid. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800704B4)" the storeLocation is set and read from the configuration file as: <add key="storeLocation" value="mssql://Driver={SQL Server};Server={my2008server};/AzManDb/MyTestApplication" /> Any help is very much appreciated.

Microsoft ole provider for oracle is not available in my VS 2008 list of providers when setting up C

Hi, Trying to set up a connection manager using Microsoft OLE Provider for Oracle, but it is not in the list of Providers. I do have Oracle Provider for OLE DB. But I need the former. I tried installing MDAC 2.8 but I get a message saying that it cannot be installed because it is part of the OS already. So, how do I get Microsoft OLE Provider for Oracle as an available provider? Thanks!--ACG

Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Enterprise Installation Problem

Good evening!

I downloaded Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Enterprise Edition (x86 and x64) from MSDNAA (i study computer science) and also  Windows 7 Professional (x86). I installed Windows 7 and i tried to install SQL Server but i receive the "Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 installation has failed. SQL Server 2008 Setup requires .NET Framework 3.5 to be installed." error. I tried installing .NET Framework but it doesn't work because it's installed by default with Windows 7 (i checked the "Turn Windows features on or off" page and the "Microsoft .NET framework 3.5.1" checkbox is checked). I understand that this means .NET framework 3.5 SP1 is also installed so i shouldn't have any errors.

Can anyone help me with this installation problem?

Thank you!

Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 2008 does not list all tables in database

When logging into SSMS 2008 to a SQL2008 database when I expand the tables in a database I only see a few tables listed.  I can login to the same instance with SSMS 2005 and all of the tables are there.  Is there a reason why this is this way?

I can do a select * from in a query window for any of the tables in the database via SSMS 2008 as well and it work fine.  It just does not display the tables.

SQL Server 2008 R2 Connectivity

I'm trying to use a tool called SwisSQL to convert Microsoft SQL Server SQL to PostgreSQL.  SwisSQL is asking for the Hostname, User Name, Password, and Database name for the 'Source'; however, when I click "Refresh" on database names, I continually get the following error:

Unable to fetch the DB names: Network error IOException: Connection timed out: connect

If I actually enter a database name (such as SQLEXPRESS - I *think* that's the name since the SQL*Server Configuration Manager lists "SQL Server (SQLEXPRESS)"), I get a message "Connecting to Source Database..." and I eventually get the following error:

     Driver Configuration Failure !

java.sql.SQLException: Network error IOException: Connection timed out: connect

I then tried to go into Control Panel->Data Sources (ODBC) and tried to add a User DSN and/or System DSN; however, it won't authenticate there either and I get the following error with Windows authentication:

   Connection failed:
SQLState: '01000'
SQL Server Error: 53
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]ConnectionOpen
(Connect()).
Connection failed:
SQLState: '08001'

Generic connectivity to Sql Server 2008

Using Visio 2007 to quickly generate a DB model diagram for developers.

Upgrading all SqlServer DBs to 2008 ... just discovered that "Reverse Engineering" does not work using Sql Native Client ... suggestion is to use "Generic ODBC definition" and that should work ...

Downloaded MDAC 2.8 and SP1 ...

Not sure what "Generic" driver to use ... attempted quite a few ... been at this for 4 hours now for a "quick" database model ...

Any suggestions?? thanks
