I'm far from being an expert in SP, so please would you treat me like you're responding to your granny ;-) I'm a basic user, who has set up a team site (one of thousands) within a coropration.
I've created a 'list' to use to post briefings. I now want to track who has clicked on the briefing to read it, and when they did that. I've tried creating a custom audit log, and that tells me they visited the list, and that they clicked
into an item, just not which specific item in the list.
The 'document location' tells me the visited 'sites/Trainingdelivery/Lists/General message/DispForm.aspx' but the URL to a specific item looks like this 'sites/Trainingdelivery/Lists/General%20message/DispForm.aspx?ID=207'.
How do I capture the specific ID?
Or, is there a way to add something into my list to get users to click to say they've read the message? my problems with this so far, is I target messages at groups, not individuals, so each item in the list could not be edited to say read, as they
would update it for everyone in the group, not just the individual.
Thanks in advance for your help!
